The estimate was overpriced and I overheard an unhinged political rant from the break room (?) where I accidentally sat near to avoid watching Fox News on their TV. - Cost: I clipped my side mirror (plastic cover over blinker light) and Fix Auto Hemet estimated $426. Specifically the part $272 with labor $127; not including tax. - For what it's worth I know this is Hemet but it was disturbing to hear the mechanic (?) say that the election was a conspiracy and how the "Democrats will destroy the country." Because I knew the damage was not close to $500 I went to 1st Certified Collision Centers on Wentworth Drive and they provided me another estimate at $162 because the guy took time to really evaluate what part I needed and how quickly it could be fixed. I'm paying out of pocket so I value 1st Certified attention to detail and care about cost. My values do not align with Fix Auto Hemet and would not feel comfortable ever going there again. read more

I was in a car accident and I was told this place would do an awesome job. I had just bought this car and they assured me it would be made brand new. They forgot to fix a coin size dent in my back right bumper, that was caused from the accident. The paint job on the edge of the doors was horrible it was missing paint. The back trunk cover was missing and they had to replace it, but at first glance they didn't want to believe us until a repair specialist came by and then they ordered it. The door liners weren't put back correctly after they did their paint job. You can hear the air coming through the doors on the freeway. When we brought this up to Carla she stated to my husband "How is this collision related?" We were told to contact car insurance to fix their sloppy job. Which doesn't make sense to me at all. Back in 2015 I had my Camaro repaired here under an insurance claim. A couple weeks ago I noticed an area on my passenger door where a piece of paint about the size of a quarter had flaked off and the paint was starting to peel, but there was no damage to the body. I took it back to Fix Auto and found out they had a new general manager. She was extremely nice and right away she said it was not an issue and they would cover it under their warranty. I dropped it off on Tuesday morning and picked it up the next afternoon. They had repainted the whole door and clear coated it. They removed the handle, molding and mirror and even painted a spot on the edge of the door that had a couple paint chips missing from rubbing somewhere the past couple years. I was very impressed and very happy again with the work they did. I highly recommend them! read more

My experience withFix Auto Hemet CA went as followed, I had brought my 2013 Honda Civic SI to the Fix Auto in Hemet California, to be reviewed for a paint warranty. The Manager Kristi C. took pictures of my car and told me that the oxidation was everywhere and the whole car needed to be painted. I was later contacted by Kristi and was told the painter had no work so I could bring it in the next day. I brought the car in on Friday 10-11-19, again when I brought it she told me the whole car was being painted and they would have it for a week and a half. I went and picked up a rent a car for the time being and was called Thursday 10-17-19 by Kristi letting me know my car will be ready the next day for pick up. I took off work, turned in my rental, and came back at 4:30 to pick up my vehicle at the specified time. When I arrived I was met outside and was told my car wasn't ready because they were having trouble buffing and polishing the car because black is a hard color to get right. I was a little upset because I had no car and missed a day of work but I was respectful and told them to take there time. I was again called Monday 10-22-19 by Kristi saying my car would be ready. A couple hours later Kristi called again saying it wouldn't be ready because the sunroof wasn't working and they had to order a part to fix it. I wasn't called the next day for any updates so I decided to call and ask if it was ready and the receptionist said "sure". I went down to pick it up and the atmosphere was different. When I got there, unlike before the receptionist was super excited to tell me about the progress, this time she wouldn't look at me and only one worded me. I met with Kristi and she took me to see my car. I knew something was off about it because they had it parked in the shade, when we got to the car the first thing I noticed was the front bumper was painted and still had bugs on it from when I brought it. I asked her about it and she told me Honda doesn't cover plastic, so the mirrors, both bumper and the spoiler we're not painted. When I got in car there was white chemical residue left all over the dash, door panel, radio, and a loose bolt in the back. I to my brothers place so we could go over the whole thing better in the sun to find a lot more things half done, messed up, or not done at all. First off the car had hand prints, swirls, and little scratches all over the new paint. They didn't buff or touch any of the bumpers and mirrors. The spoiler was sanded but not fixed, the rock guard under the passenger side was a mess and uneven, there were unpainted areas, crooked decal on the drivers side, brown glue residue under the windshield, and chemical residue left on the break caliper. I brought the car back immediately and explained my concerns and unhappiness with the car. Kristi quickly dismissed my clams, she said she has Ten years of experience and knows how it's supposed to be done. She told me the unpainted areas were just dry, the other issues were an easy fix, and my spoiler was like that before they touched it. I told her I have pictures of the car before I brought it and she quickly retracted her claims. I asked her why did she say my whole car would be painted when everything does include bumpers, mirrors and etc. She only said Honda doesn't approve bumpers or plastic. I told her I wasn't taking my car until it was fixed, she got very upset at everything and said she can try but she know it won't be approved so it wouldn't be worth my time. After leaving it I got no updates. So on 10-24-19 I voiced my concerns with American Honda and wanted to reach out to the owner, a couple hours later I got a call while at work from Kristi asking me why I started a case with American Honda and why I wanted to talk to the owner. She went on to say how they are jumping through hoops and going above and beyond to help me. She said "why are you pursuing this, like you are going to get anything out of it." She got loud and didn't let me get a word out. She gave me no update on my car, I calmly got off the phone and got to work. Super unprofessional and they clearly don't know much about what they are doing. read more

I went to this place and took my 2015 Ford flex fit hat a perfectly good paint job and I wanted to put a nice silver flake on the roof. The worst body shop I've ever used. Took my wife's car here as it was a recommended shops through my insurance. Her Scion TC had some minor to moderate undercarriage damage. Dropped off on a Monday and was told a week to week and a half. Thursday afternoon they call and say it's done? Close to a week early? Should've known something wasn't right! My 3 year-old son and I head out Friday morning to turn in our rental and bring the car home. No problem, right? Wrong! I do all the paperwork and pay my deductible. When I get in do drive home something is off. I quickly realize this car is way out of alignment and the steering wheel is way off center as well. I bring it back and am told give us 30 minutes. An hour later they tell us the alignment machine at the Honda dealer is not working properly and it will be a couple hours. They try to get me to take a shuttle home. I insist on another rental to which they reluctantly comply. I finally get the rental, tell them to call me and head home. The rental breaks down! Technically not their fault, but had they fixed my car properly wouldn't have happened. I finally get home with a 2nd rental. They call and say they'll deliver the car and return my rental. This is 3 pm on a day that started at 9 am. They bring back the car and take the rental. I get in it to move it into the driveway and it is literally out of gas! I quickly run over to the gas station and arrive on fumes. My wife doesn't drive it for a few days, but when she does it's making a horrible rattling sound. Long story short they managed to put the hood on wrong and the car was still put of alignment. Furthermore, not only did it rattle all the gaps were wrong around the hood and 5 weeks in we week are on the 2nd body shop and Toyota trying to get our car fixed to factory specs! All beginning with these guys incompetence. I wouldn't take my worst enemies car here and have urged USAA to remove them from preferred status. Terrible!!! read more

Absolute nightmare! the owner and Rick Welty, General Manager at Hemet Diamond Valley Honda dealership, were not much help. I would give no stars if there was an option for it. I took my car to Fix Auto to have the front bumper and tire sensor replaced. They had my car for four weeks, and when I was at my wits end on week three I called and told them I was coming to pick up my car that very moment. They kept making up excuses for me to not come get it, in which at that point nothing was going to change my mind. I showed up, it took over an hour for my car to appear, and when I got in it, my car was horribly dirty, especially the passenger seat of the car. It was FILTHY, like someone had been living in my car. My blinkers weren't working, the car was running on fumes because they used the half tank of gas I left my car with and I got less than a mile from the shop before my car died and I was then stranded on the side of the road for an hour. Turns out they ran my battery dead somehow, or that is what they claimed. After all of that, I had to get a rental car. During that last week, I had someone who works in the auto mall walk over to check on my car, and they said it was nowhere to be found. Not in the shop, not outside of it. They didn't see it anywhere. One week later, they claimed my car was finally fixed. I went to pick it up, and looked at my odometer, to find that they had put over 400 miles on my car! Not only that, they did more damage to my car than they did fixing it. In one month, the only good thing they did was fix the bumper, but not even the tire sensor got fixed. Fixing the bumper should have taken a few days, not 4 weeks. They charged me for things they did not even fix, and they ended up having to buy me a new battery and fix other electrical issues they caused by being so careless with my car and obviously taking it on a road trip. I would NEVER come back to this place. The service is horrible, and the manager is pathetic. This was nothing but a nightmare for me. I had to take my car in to the dealer in order to get it fixed after this place had it for a month and seem to do more harm than good. This shop is a joke and I wouldn't ever recommend anyone to take their car there unless they want to have a terrible experience like I did. read more

This place does not even desire recognition of a star! Worst Worst Worst place to ever take your car to be fixed. This place has had my Tahoe since June and what it's Oct! Really ??? When you call to speak to the manager Brian he refuses to come to the phone. First off they cut my air conditioning line by mistake, so the car was sent to Chevy to have it fixed. There the car set for a month waiting for some glue that they claim was hard to get. Secondly the car was sent back to Fix Auto and then they claimed the Chevy dealer scratched the car so they had to repair it. Finally weeks and months later I get told to come get my car it was ready. I left work early to achieve this. Upon arrival the car was fifthly, They were not even using mat covers as the workers went in and out of the car. The car was not ready and after it was cleaned I went to inspect the work done. The doors do not even line up the hood was never replaced and who knows if the work they did is even correctly done or suited to be riding safely! When we asked the Manager Brian why he would even call us when the car obviously was not right his response was "We we kinda missed our mark" MISSED YOUR MARK SERIOUSLY???? ITS A MANAGERS JOB TO INSPECT AND QUALITY CONTROL THE WORK YOUR PEOPLE DO. AND THIS IS EXCEPTABLE FOR YOU TO DO ????? I AM CALLING AN ATTORNEY AND FURTHERMORE CONTACTING MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO LET THEM KNOW HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THIS PLACE IS AND HOW THEIR LACK OF WORKMANSHIP IS NO BETTER THEN IF I DID IT MYSELF!
