The pupusas were made fresh right in front of you, hot off the griddle, and full of flavor. You could really taste how fresh everything was, and the portions were super satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better, especially in a busy festival setting. We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament, and we visited the Palm Springs Village Feat our first night in town (it's every Thursday). As we approached Five03, my nose and stomach made other plans; I soon ordered a chicken and cheese pupusa, and within minutes our daughter and my wonderful wife left me with only a couple bites; even with the less-than-expected amount I can tell you this was great; the ladies clearly liked it, too. Personally, I love my pupusas thick, but everyone has their own individual taste and way to make them. The service was friendly and kind. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. First timers. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. She told us what was most popular and gave us horchata samples because their horchata isn't what I'm used too. lol. They were both good so we got one each. We tried 3 different popular ones (mixed, spicy and steak) and got two dessert and everything was so good. The plantines were my fave over the empanada those were the desserts. Their decor on inside is so beautiful as well, and tell my why their bathroom was the most beautiful I have ever been in. lol. We loved everything we ordered. The cashier was really nice. She explained what the popusas had. She gave us samples of the aguas frescas. My favorite is the Salvadorian Horchata (they don't use milk) I tried this one at the Tamale Festival. At this location I tried the Maracuya and it was sweet and refreshing. We waited a bit but not too long. We understand they are not premade. The Popusa by itself may be a little tasteless (I'm used to eating a lot of salt) but once you add all the condiments it's very tasty and delicious. Loved the sour cream and their salsa. You do have to pay $2 for a small size of sour cream. First time trying the fried plantain and it was delicious. Again by itself it's very bland taste but when you add the beans and the sour cream which they come along with the plate it's very very good. Loved the ambiance, it was clean not crowded. A gentleman stop by to order tamales but apparently they only sell them during the holidays. They are pretty good size I got full with one. read more

I got 1 de frijol con queso and it was so dry, I tried to save it with the salsa & curtido and it tasted old/bad like it was left out for a while and then they put it in the fridge . I love a good pupusa. You can't go wrong with this place.. As the menu says they serve pupusa's. They do offer sides of fried plantains, neugados, and empanadas, but by specializing in one thing they should be spot on and they are. I've tried the steak, cheese , jalapeño, zucchini and laroca pupusas, all were delicious. The perfect amount of cheese and grilled just right on the outside. Their Curtido is great, I don't like mine soggy, theirs has just the perfect amount of dressing. It is a bit spicy, so be prepared. I ordered 12. 6 steak, 2 chicken, 2 mixed and 2 spicy. I did have to wait about 20 minutes which I was fine with as I interpreted that as they were being made fresh!! and they were!!! We stopped by this place not looking or knowing what to expect, and I have to tell you- from the kind lady who helped us at the counter to the beautiful ambience of the restaurant and the delicious food, I was hooked. We ordered from this vendor at the Pride Festival on Sunday and I have to say I ordered 2 chicken pupusas and 2 drinks and the bill came to over $37.00.....This is an outrage and a total rip off they more than doubled the prices over the listed prices here and they had no posted prices of any of the food or drinks....I hope they aren't allowed back to next years Pride Celebration because they are a total rip off. read more
