We hired this company to remove the popcorn ceilings and paint the inside of our home before we moved in 3 years ago. The owner added THOUSANDS onto our initial estimate every time we spoke with him. He hired his cousin (who was not a painter) to finish the job, leaving us with sloppy work and unfinished areas like behind the toilets and around the shower tiles. Now while standing at the sink I can see the old dark gray paint behind the toilet tank. This could have easily been done with a paint brush. I have two young children so bringing paint in here now is nearly impossible. I've had to deal with a lot of imperfections because we agreed we did not want that company to come back here. In between tenants at my 2/2 condo in the Orlando Milk District, I wanted to remove the popcorn ceiling and upgrade to knockdown texture. It was super short notice, as I wanted to turn-over the rental ASAP. After being told by Textures by Blue Sky Inc. and Will Phillips Inc. "they don't do condos" (I assume I wasn't worth their time even with two identical condos needing the same work), Donna with 5 Star Contractors responded quickly with a ballpark quote based on photos and measurements I had emailed. Pete came out the next day to review the job, and the final bid was VERY reasonable. I hired them immediately. The crew arrived on time and were very professional and clean. Pete and his crew were professional and meticulous. They removed the popcorn ceiling from my entire home and then reapplied texture and installed six recessed lights. They covered everything in my home with plastic from the ceiling down including the floors prior to starting the work. All texture was applied evenly and upon completion they cleaned up everything and swept/mopped my floors after. I could not believe how clean they left my home after seeing the complete mess that was made in order to complete the work (that is saying a lot as I have OCD). Emailed for an estimate and was contacted back promptly. They were very flexible and able to meet with us during a time that worked with our schedules. Pete arrived on time for our consultation, and was professional and courteous. He walked through our home and discussed what we were looking for.
