They showed up on time and wore COVID Protection and booties. Paul asked if I had any special instructions for them or any concerns and we discussed them. Next, I showed Paul the access route to the work area and they put drop clothes down. Paul asked again if I had any questions. Then like "ninjas" they began to remove the old units and install the new units. Once they completed the work, Paul took me to new unit. He explained what they did, how it worked and asked if I had any question and answered all of them. Paul said to call them in the spring and they would come back out, because at 47F they could not start up the A/C. Paul walked me around the install and asked again if everything was satisfactory with me, quality cleanliness, etc. I approved. It's all in the name "A-Quality, reasonable pricing and top notch work. They cut some corners that were not up to code and they installed the expansion tank on the hot side, horizontally, and with no support. When I called in about this they assured me that the tank could be on the hot side no problem. Several other experienced plumbers and the literal instruction manual for the heater all say to never install the tank on the hot side. So I just have to pay someone else to take care of it properly now

NEVER let these guys in your house…read more I first called them to work on my boiler. They charged me $300 bucks, found out later, they did not fix the problem. Then that night, my pressure relief valve on my hot water heater failed and soaked my basement. I made a HUGE mistake by calling the same company to send out some plumbers to fix the issue. They replaced the valve then came up stairs and said there was an error code showing low pilot light, but not to worry should resolve on its own. So they left. As I walked downstairs I smelled the strongest stench of natural gas I have ever smelled. Turns out these yahoos left a gas connection very loose. Which explains the low pilot light, because half the gas was leaking into my basement. Luckily someone was there (who actually fixed the boiler, AJ Micheal's tech) and he found the leak and tightened the connection while I scrambled to open windows. So of course I was upset that the plumbers almost blew up my house and killed my entire family. Called the dispatcher who essentially said, " well the leak is fixed and they are onto the next call so what do you want us to do?" Took 3 or 4 days of calling to get a supervisor on the line. Who did nothing for survive recovery. The plumbers who Albright Mechanical sent to my home were incompetent and dangerous. furthermore, the company showed zero urgency in addressing the situation. I truly hope they don't kill any one.

TLDR: Excellent work, quick turnaround, OK pricing…read more I contacted Mike's Plumbing when my hot water heater began leaking from what I thought was the bottom (usually signaling the need for a replacement unit). I was able to set up a service date the very next day first thing in the morning and they arrived well within the estimated time window. The plumber, Chris, was able to diagnose my system and landed on the fix being a replacement expansion tank, pressure relief valve and a new hot water cutoff valve. Total cost of work was $900+, which fell towards the high side for this range of work, but I decided to proceed due to the job needing to be completed ASAP. The job took approx. 90 minutes to complete and once done, I was beyond satisfied with the quality of work. My previous setup was mostly shark bites and mediocre materials while the work Chris performed consisted of the proper fittings and quality materials. Fast forward a few days and the fix has not leaked a single drop! Overall, I could have shopped this around and gotten cheaper quotes for the same scope of work by a couple hundred bucks, however I don't think the quality of work would have been as nice and with such quick turnaround.

When things were set (three months later) with Lowe's, their contractor Plumb Cheap had called to make the appointment for the delivery and install. What a great experience I had with Shawn after such a terrible experience with Lowe's. After three months of being disgruntled with Lowes, one might expect that I was quite frustrated with the whole process, and I'm sure when I talked to Shawn to make the deliver appointment my frustration showed. Regardless of my attitude, Shawn has given me an absolutely exceptional customer experience. Shawn had taken me from being totally frustrated to feeling elated as she had taken control, contacted Lowe's and made sure the delivery and install went smooth. It was a pleasure working with Plumb Cheap and I truly feel lucky that they were the contracted plumber. The important piece about this whole situation was, the washer was to be installed by Lowes, but they did not do the install by the time Plumb Cheap came out to install the dryer. Plumb Cheap, rather than keeping the tenant inconvenienced any longer with no washer/dryer went ahead and installed the washer. It can't get any better than this.
