I told Iman how my friends/family and I like to have fun, she sent me a list of venues to look into. I chose Slate based off of my DJ friend's recommendation. I received final confirmation the day of the event (12/26) and we arrived at 9pm, this was the only issue - they had down 11pm. However Elise took care of us and got us situated. It was smooth sailing from there. Comped bottle of champagne and great attention to our table made it an awesome night. I would definitely recommend BPB and use their services again. Thank you Iman for everything!!!

I wanted to make sure she had a great send-off, so after asking around about party planning services, a co-worker recommended Birthday Party Booker and told me it was a FREE service. So, of course I had to check it out! It was indeed free!! Lexie was my party specialist and after brainstorming for a few weeks, it was party time! The event was held at Carnival last Saturday. I could not believe the large reserved area compete with some free vodka. Over 100 people showed up and everyone had a wonderful time. The icing on the cake was my friend telling me she'd never forget this fabulous night. My birthday's coming up soon and I am going to have them plan a party for me! I highly recommend this excellent service and I am still in shock that it was FREE! The only cost whatsoever is a $50 gratuity to the vodka server, which was totally fine by me. I am surprised that more people haven't posted/heard about Birthday Party Booker!

Trecia is always willing to go the extra mile to make your vision and dream come true. When I suggested I wanted a chandelier hanging above me and my husband's heads as we exchanged our vows she personally went out and thrifted the most incredible vintage chandelier. In fact, she did this with so many items. She was always going the extra mile to put together and design the most special atmosphere. It didn't hurt when they let me go this in the beginning of this year I'm just upset with myself that I played myself in to thinking that this one would work out in my favor one of the reasons I'm not as optimistic as I uses to be is because of aspects like this I only have good intentions for myself and only wish to succeed in life in the job of my choice and only want to keep aiming high for my longterm goals for myself I don't think there is anything that Tapuz Staffing can't do but when it comes down to employment the first step is consideration for employees.

The hiring process is lengthy, and employees have to buy their own work clothing. Despite having over five years of serving experience, I am only being paid $24 an hour. I work for several agencies, and Tapuz offers the lowest pay of them all while demanding the most. They even expect you to do dishwasher duties for minimal compensation. Recently, I've noticed, along with my coworkers, that only a certain race seems to be getting all the shifts. Those who aren't receiving shifts are mainly Black and Hispanic employees. It's disheartening to see this kind of inequality at work. I've lost a lot of respect for Tapuz over the last four months. I have never experienced anything like this until now, and it is very disturbing for both myself and my coworkers. This company also does not protect its employees when clients are extremely rude to us, which is very disheartening. Additionally, we are facing issues with racist management towards Black and Spanish employees, while also dealing with mistreatment from clients. I highly advise against wasting your time here!

We still wanted to get married on our original date, but had to start from scratch to come up with a plan for a safe, socially distant mini-wedding. Enter Jen and Kate of Green Apple Weddings. They worked tirelessly (and I don't use that term lightly!) to help us plan an event at a house upstate that is not set up for large events. From working directly with vendors, to helping us know what questions to ask, to visiting the site in person with us to develop a run of show, they guided us every step of the way. We had no idea how many little details go into putting a wedding together, but we never felt overwhelmed because we knew Jen and Kate had our backs! They even helped supply us with decorations for our socially-distant reception and oversaw our rehearsal. In all sincerity, there is no way we could have pulled off our special day without their incredible skill. We are truly grateful for Green Apple and recommend them whole-heartedly. Let's start here- there's absolutely no way we could have had such a perfect wedding day without Kate & Jennifer. They were available to answer our questions (as ridiculous as these questions may have been at times) from the moment we hired them to be a part of our day. Our wedding was held at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City and while the staff there is wonderful, there isn't a day of coordinator to help with all the details leading up to the day. As funny as it sounds, the reason I decided I was hiring a wedding planner was because I had a moment about halfway through planning where I thought to myself "who's going to cue the music and make sure we all know when to walk down the aisle?"While my husband was initially skeptical and it wasn't a cost we had budgeted for, he agreed. Enter Kate. She knows the Metropolitan Building like the back of her hand (seriously. I think our wedding was like her 106th here). About 6 weeks before our wedding, we did a walk through with Kate to select items, go over floor plans and just talk about the experience we want our guests to have. We walked out that day and my husband exhaled and said "this is literally the best money we've ever spent. No way we could do this without her". Kate & Jen did what we feel was so beyond partial planning. They contacted vendors, created floor plans and timelines for the day, helped us select antiques to be used to decorate the space, eased any nerves we had and yes, told us when it was time to walk down the aisle. Wedding planning involves so many details. We are eternally grateful for Kate & Jen's help throughout our engagement and on our wedding day. My husband and I are both sad we don't get to talk to them anymore but hopefully our paths cross again soon! Book Green Apple Weddings & Events. Make room in the budget. It will be the best money you've ever spent.

I was part of a bridal party and they had promised the bride & groom to have food ready for us once we've arrived from a day of photoshoots. Something got lost in translation and we were served a big platter of hodge podge unrecognizable salty meats. Thankfully the food at the cocktail reception was sooo much better. The spread was insane from a caviar station, a cold salad and cold fish buffet station, and an entire hot food area complete with chicken fingers and beer battered french fries to stewed oxtails and braised beef cows feet! The chuppah area they have is not that big and quite plain in comparison to the rest of the hall. The food presentation during the dinner reception again was impressive but they had poor timing between courses. As we were just sitting down to the first course, they started clearing for the next course. With some protest, they brought back the sushi and salads on smaller platters. The cooked fish course was cooked nicely and delicious, the multiple courses were insane and again delicious. To top it all off the Viennese dessert hour was beautifully showcased and I'm usually not a kosher dessert fan, however, these were scrumptious.

When I first booked, Elite Palace was pretty new so I felt that they had alot more time and were more attentive. As the year went on, they got more and more busy and it was harder to get in touch with the banquet manager, Igor. I always felt that my meetings were rushed and when I asked questions about the big day, they were either dismissed or I was told that we would talk about it closer to my wedding day. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive for a couple of months about how it would turn out and I questioned whether I had booked at the right place. About a month from my wedding day, I finally got on their radar and they started taking my questions seriously since the day was getting nearer. From then on, it got much better. The tasting was great and Igor made sure that we were taken care of even though he had another event going on that night. We were able to have a rehearsal the day before the wedding with my officiant and entire bridal party, which helped alot for the big day. I have heard from my guests that the food was delicious and one of my favorite aspects was the cake. I showed a design of the cake I wanted to Igor and in the end, it came out better than I had even hoped for. My maitre de and bridal attendant were amazing. They told us what to do and where to go at the right times. My husband and I would have definitely not known what to do without them. The only major hiccup I had was with liability insurance. Elite Palace requires all of your major vendors to have an ACCORD liability insurance and to place it on file with them. Two weeks before my wedding, Igor reminded me I had to get this and it sent me scrambling to all my vendors. Some of the vendors didn't know what it was and that was a headache but in the end everything came through. Overall, the people at Elite Palace are experts in holding weddings and I would definitely recommend having your wedding here.
