Before starting the job, they conducted a detailed evaluation of the roof and did the same once the work was complete, to make sure everything was done right from start to finish. They also brought in a licensed electrician to properly disconnect and reinstall my solar panels, and thoroughly tested them afterward to confirm everything was working correctly. In addition to the roof, they rebuilt my chimney and installed beautiful new 6" gutters -- the whole property looks fantastic. What really stood out was how flexible and fair they were during negotiations. We worked together to agree on a contract that worked for both of us, including a 50-year extended material warranty and a 25-year workmanship warranty. On top of that, they went above and beyond and threw in an extra item as a gift, which I really wasn't expecting. A1 Gutters and Roofing is professional, skilled, and honest from start to finish. I highly recommend them -- give them a call; you won't be disappointed!

A1 Gutter and Roofing in Garfield, NJ is no exception. So too have we heard and, perhaps, experienced some dishonesty among this lot. So it is significant when one discovers a contractor who is legit, trustworthy, and highly professional. Having to replace an entire roof including structural repairs of its wooden beams, new insulation, and re-bricking of the upper portion of the chimney was a major undertaking. The entire project took two weeks. It's impossible to describe just how well this job was accomplished. Picture may do it some justice. Overall, this customer is pleased beyond measure. If you are given an appointment and a time frame, then you expect this company to keep the appointment. Instead they never came: I had to take a day off from work to have no one show up: I was back and forth with their customer agents and they kept leading me on and making me think their techs were coming. Then, they finally admitted that they were overbooked for that day and was there a better day for re-scheduling? Yeah...the better day was the day I took off to wait for them to come. So unprofessional...I felt disrespected. The only thing good that came out of this was finding another company that actually had someone show up when they said they would. And after reading their other reviews on Yelp, I realized so many others had the same issue with this company not showing up for scheduled appointments. People's time are precious...this company needs to remember this. They need to overhaul their scheduling commitments!!
