Worst experience ever. Ghosted us part way into the process. No communication. Then the insurance sued us due to their negligence. Was calling them begging for help as to how to respond. Called main Maitland office begging for help because the Sarasota rep Scott Wendt was MIA only to be told by the name I saw in Sunbiz.org as the owner that i'd half to speak with the guy that's been MIA for months. What a bunch of garbage. Hired a great lawyer and all because of my own due diligence in emails sent prior to getting involved with Scott Wendt and Five Star saved us. Scott emailed Christmas Eve at 10:00PM basically saying to lawyer up cause i was out of luck. They called after hearing I had a lawyer saying they would help with information, etc.. LOL Like i frigging needed them. What a joke. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

Process started well. As soon as the lawyers had to get involved, could not get responses and only excuses from the rep Josh K. The process from start to finish was 18 months. i would strongly recommend finding other services to help with a claim. i think this could be a viable service if communication were part of the business model. read more

Somehow, I lucked upon getting this claim adjusting company. The rep, Kyle, was very professional and would always quickly return my calls and answer questions. I had some considerable damage to my condo after Hurricane Irma, and I believe if I didn't have the claims adjustment company, I would have gotten about 1/2 of the amount, and I think my home insurance company is pretty good. Another great thing about getting a claims adjuster is that they do all the work for you, which helped me with all the stress of dealing with hurricane damage and working full time. My only complaint is when I took a little longer to do some of the remediation, which was not recommended by Kyle, I called him a couple of times and he didn't return my calls. But I forgive him, and would use this company again. You pay 10% of your settlement amount back to the company for hurricane, FYI. read more

Don't waste time with them. 5 star is a misnomer. Should be 0 star. Contracted them after Hurrican Ian. After a week tried to contact their rep. but no response, until I sent a nasty email to their company web site. Then he called me back and just wanted to delay the process and talked about sending out more inspectors out. But that was his job not to delay things until who knows when. I have scheduled companies to come out and give me quotes, which was supposed to be 5 stars responsibility. I will cancel the contract before the 10 days are up. All they want is their pound of flesh at your expense. read more

Worst company every do not hire them Gil Martin is a scam PA. He came to southwest Florida and promised me to get me the most money and be there every step of the way. They were All lies as he went back to Miami. I have never been able to get a hold of him after the contract was signed. All contact is with his assistant. He will send you what is going to happen following you signing the contract and never show for his end of the inspections. He does nothing and expects you to pay him 10%. He will send your number to companies that are in Miami and they will contact you after 8pm to do things at 8am the next day. They get you to do things on their own schedule even if it's an inconvenience to you and send the ridiculously high bills to the insurance. When payment isn't received at a certain time frame from the insurance the companies will contact you for payment. I could have done all that myself he has done nothing to help. DO NOT HIRE HIM, YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

We hired Cary to come check out our damage from a kitchen faucet leak. He determined there wasn't enough damage to file a claim. However just from talking with him he asked me questions and asked me about the prior hurricane and I told him that we had some minor damage but the insurance company didn't pay. He said do you mind if I take a look around and I said of course not. Long story short he was able to get me money for all the repairs that the insurance company wouldn't pay for which included a new roof. He responded the next day and after he personally inspected my roof he set out a very clear path to progress a claim. Mitigation meetings were unrealistic until Josh and his associates took over and obtained a realistic settlement for me. Travis has been unresponsive and it requires multiple attempts to get him to respond. Of course as soon as some money came in, he was johnny on the spot getting over to me. What can I say about my experience.....Carlos Couiabano is a terrible adjuster agent. He came to our house in June of 2018 and gave us a great speech so we signed the contract right away. He mentioned that it will take 3 months for us to get money to fix our house from a broken water pipe inside a wall in the kitchen. He promised us to get around 47k to do all the demolition and rebuild of our walls, kitchen and whole floor. We got mold, the floor got ruined, kitchen cabinets were molded too. Time started passing and nothing happened, we called him numerous times and he didn't return any calls. I had to call the office and complaint about him not communicating to us and he called, gave us a blah blah explanation and so we kept waiting. The year finished and he told us that we could have their attorney handle the case and we WOULDN'T be charge for any of that, that the insurance will. Also we were under the impression that the insurance ALSO would take care of the mold Remidiation and we would have the money just for reconstruction. We got a settlement, signed for it and got the checks. ONE YEAR AND 4 months later we were able to begin construction with 27k because we had to pay the mold Remidiation 8K (not de insurance directly), and in the settlement the attorneys were granted 10k!. Terrible service. Carlos Couiabano is horrible handleing clients, he just comes with excuses and barely did any work for us. I don't recommend dealing with him at all. Adjuster Steve Schiffman from Melbourne Florida office over promised and under delivered. He says he turned over claim to back office and he said they dropped the ball. Not sure where the breakdown was but I do know that my mom got $3,000 less than the insurance company approved. Answering calls and follow-up was another weakness. I now know there are several smaller firms that give personalized honest service in our area. I would highly suggest you speak to them so you don't have to deal with what my 82 year old mother did. Andy and Five Star Claims Adjusting are the equivalent of the ambulance chasing lawyers looking for an easy payday from someone else's pain and suffering. Andy knocked on my door and encouraged me to investigate whether or not I had a sinkhole under my property. Andy, from the New Port Richie office, proceeded to have me sign a contract enlisting his and Five Star Claims Adjusting "services" throughout the entire process. As the first step, a test with an engineering company was arranged. Andy's words to me were (with reference to the sinkhole test), "I will be the first one on your property and the last one off." On day one of the testing days, Andy was at my residence for ONLY approximately 30 minutes (hours after the engineers arrived and leaving hours before they left). This was only the first of his misrepresentations, and was part of a relationship filled with negligence (i.e. failure to inform me until prompted of the engineering finding), bullying (forcing me to continue to sign waivers concerning his pay even after I expressed how dissatisfied I was), unfulfilled promises, misinformation and outright LIES (telling the wonderful sinkhole repair company he and I had spoken recently when it had actually been over a year since we last spoke). For all this "service," Andy and Five Star Claims Adjusting plan to take 10% of the money the insurance company offered to help us take care of the problem. DO NOT USE THEM! read more
