This time around my wife says she smells something burning, somethings not right. She pin points the dryer as the culprit. We notice the drum is white hot. There are water drops coming out of the crevices. Witchcraft? Demon possession? No, blocked exhaust hose Alex from Swiftec Services explained to me over the phone. He says I can be there at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Blocked it was! Our poor LG dryer was a mess. Tons of lint had built up inside this thing. Alex took the thing apart and cleaned it thoroughly. He also replaced the exhaust hose. He got our dryer back in business. Before I called him I thought oh great, time for a new $900 dryer! His price was more than fair. Call him, you will be in good hands!

They are courteous, on-time, and knowledgable, but as a customer I should be given the opportunity to decline (and just pay for the service call) if I felt the repair cost was too high. I'm not saying don't use them, as I think they are still a good option, but be sure to get a price before the work is done so you can make that call yourself. Otherwise, their $75 visit/diagnostic fee is very reasonable nowadays. **Edited review since the owner, Tony, felt like commenting! That's about right, but funnily enough, when I google it my AI says it's more like $150-$280, parts and labor. Although one result DID come back $350, so perhaps you are just at the more pricey end of the spectrum? Regardless, you should probably give customers the ability to CHOOSE, once it's diagnosed, if they want you to do it at a quoted price, or if they want to buy that inexpensive part and do it themselves. In fact, I think that's actually the law..

My oven had already been worked on twice within the first year warranty, but the company that Home Depot sent was unable to fix the problem after two attempts, even though the oven was new at the time. Nick, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem and fixed it successfully on his first attempt. His work was very efficient and he could not have been more professional, courteous, or pleasant throughout the entire process. The second appliance was my washing machine, which presented a little more of a challenge because the necessary part was difficult to find, but Nick was able to locate the correct part and complete the repair really quickly. The three visits to work on both appliances included the initial evaluations, identifying and obtaining the correct parts, and completing repairs to both appliances. Considering the amount of time Nick spent working, and the fact that three separate visits were required, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. By today's standards it's worth repeating....the prices were extremely reasonable ! I highly recommend TJ Appliance Repair, and if you have the opportunity, I would recommend asking for Nick. Excellent service and excellent results across the boards.

- Got a quote through Yelp, and the response was very fast…read more - I was able to schedule a same-day appointment within about 15 minutes of chatting with them. - The diagnostic fee was $69, which I thought was very reasonable. - The technician called about 20 minutes before arriving and showed up right on time. - He was also very considerate and asked if we preferred that he take his shoes off before entering our home, since we don't wear shoes inside. - He inspected our refrigerator for about 20 minutes, found the issue, and clearly explained what was wrong. - Since the refrigerator was still under warranty, we only had to pay the diagnostic fee. I appreciated that he was honest about it and didn't try to pressure us into using their company for additional repairs. - The whole process went very smoothly. I also received a detailed diagnostic report by email afterward, which was very helpful because it explained what was inspected and what issue was found. - Overall, a very straightforward, honest, and professional experience.
