Stopped here while in town on a Saturday. We saw signs for it multiple times and after going to an…read moreexhibit said we would try it. It wasn't busy at all, only one other table in the dining lounge. We placed an order after struggling with trying to order. Diet soda ("they sell out early") wasn't an option. We ordered bruschetta and two pies. After placing the order our waitress told us the manager wasn't there and he was the only one capable of making bruschetta. Ok? It's diced tomatoes on toast? So we got cheese sticks instead. They came out pretty quick - and reminded me of Red Lobster cheese sticks. Marinara was really runny but still good. Then we waited I would guess 35minutes for pizza. One a pepperoni and one a chicken parm pizza. The pepperoni was CHARRED on one half. The chicken parm looked fine. I am almost positive I have NEVER sent back a pizza (on dine-in) but I couldn't accept the charred one. So I asked if we could just get rid of it and not get charged. Manager came out and said it should have never been bright out to us and if we wanted another. Given how long we had already been there I asked how long and was told 6 minutes. So I said ok. Now - if you're paying attention - I was told the manager wasn't there bc we didn't get bruschetta and if a pizza only takes 6 minutes why had 40 minutes already went by to get ours? The waitress took the pizza charge off totally which I appreciated. We asked for the replacement to go in a box so we could take our leftovers and have a few slices. It came out and wasn't bad - pepperoni very sausage-like with natural spices in the meat. The chicken parm was good a chicken was more large boneless chicken pieces. Overall good. The dining room was quiet - the lamps over tables were in red/orange light - which is why the ohotos look like we ate in a photographers dark room. Overall this was ok.

The waiter was fun, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. For our main course, we ordered a cheese pizza and added their famous meatballs on top--and that took it to another level. The restaurant itself is beautiful, located in a restored train station. It feels upscale but is still very affordable. As for the pizza: a great pizza is all about balance, and this one nailed it. The crust was light and flavorful, the sauce slightly sweet without overpowering, and the mozzarella mellow but full of taste. Adding the meatballs made it nearly perfect. One last thing--before my Coke was even empty, another one was already waiting for me. Excellent service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend! Thank you to Bruce our wait staff!

Eventually I had to go to the hostess and let her know that we'd been sitting there the entire time without even being offered water. She did go inquire after our server, who then came over and took our order. So already our experience was tainted. Things seemed fine after that, but once we finished our meal we ordered dessert to go. The server brought boxes for our leftovers, took the dessert order, and then disappeared. Our party of five had to leave, and I was left sitting at the table with a toddler about 15 minutes after the meal ended waiting for the check. She eventually returned and apologized, saying she couldn't find the cake we ordered and had to go look for it. She then asked if we wanted bags for our to-go containers, after everything had already been packed up. Normally, the containers and bag are brought to the table together for leftovers. The last thing we wanted to do was wait another 10 minutes for bags for our leftovers. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled.

This place is an institution--a shrine--a holy temple of carbs and happiness. And the food? Mamma mia! Before kickoff even starts, you're already unbuttoning the top of your pants. Let's talk. We kicked things off with the large mushroom pizza, and listen... this thing was a masterpiece. The sweet sauce hits you like your Italian aunt kissing both cheeks even though you said, "Only one!" And that flaky, pastry-like crust? I took one bite and declared, "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph--this is it. This is the pizza they're serving in heaven." The whole living room fell silent like we were observing a national moment of pizza appreciation. Then came the meat lovers pizza, and when they say meat lovers, they mean it. This thing was PACKED. I opened the box and swear I heard it say, "Fuhgeddaboudit." There was so much meat on it, I started checking to make sure it wasn't about to huddle up and call its own plays. And the white pizza... OH. Let me tell you something. This pizza is so good your nonna--yes, your nonna--would taste it, cross herself, and whisper, "Okay... fine... it's better than mine." And then she'd stare at the wall for 20 minutes rethinking her life choices. That kind of good. The meat ravioli? Out. Of. This. World. Like a warm hug from a grandmother who smells like basil, garlic, and loving judgment. Only hiccup? A few cheese ravioli snuck into the mix like little undercover mozzarella agents. Not ideal for someone with an allergy, but we're Italian--we survive everything but someone insulting our sauce. And now... let's talk about the pickup experience. While waiting for my takeout, I witnessed a stunning procession--and I mean stunning--of hot Italian men walking in and out of that restaurant like it was a runway show sponsored by Giorgio Armani and blessed by Saint Anthony himself. I almost took my wedding ring off and followed them home. If this is the scenery while waiting for pizza, I'll pick up takeout every single week for the rest of my natural life. Meanwhile, the staff is moving at warp speed. Even for takeout. I blinked and the bag was already in my hand. They hustle like they're double-parked outside with the hazard lights on. I wanted to say, "Sweetheart, breathe! You're gonna pull a hamstring!" But on game day, fast service is a gift. Jioio's is the real deal: delicious, chaotic, comforting, unforgettable, and authentically Italian in every way that matters. You bring the food home, you laugh, you eat, you cheer--and you're already planning what to order for next Sunday. Touchdown.
