What more can I add to the other reviews but mmmm. We normally are Italian oven fired pizza luvers but wanted to give New York style a try. For some reason I envisioned grease dripping, thin, fold over style pizza. What we got was pizza with amazing crust and ingredients that are oh so fresh. We had heirloom tomatoes in ours that tasted like garden picked. This is now in my top 2 pizza joints in town (Desano's the other). Great local beer selection too!! read more

Legit pie, yes, pie, as us Jersey folks call it. My only complaint and it's not a big one, is they put grated parmesan on the pizza...don't like that so we ask for none. The toppings are very fresh and the pizza is made to order unless you're getting their slice of the day. Slice of the day flavors are typically something really different, so gives us a chance to try new things without ordering an entire pizza. Thin crust, great sauce, freshly grated mozzarella, and tons of toppings to choose from. Just what you'd expect from a great pizza spot. I sure wished we lived closer as I'd be there multiple times per week. They have beer and wine as well as mimosas and bloody marys on the weekend. We typically sit at the small bar in the dining room for quicker service. Booths galore, but you'll have to wait for one. The Bianca pizza is literally the best pizza I have ever had. We came in late on a Monday evening, and for a table of 6 we had to wait for a bit for as the space is pretty cozy. We were quoted ~25 minutes and it ended up being closer to 40. While we didn't even notice the extra time as we were hanging out with Rachel at the bar, Alaina our server did and apologized to us with free garlic knots. We were going to order them anyways based off of yelp tips - and woooow make sure you do! For Pizza we ordered the Bianca, the Supreme (with no mushrooms), and with half no cheese for the dairy-free in our group. We also appreciated that you could get pizza by the slice. While the Supreme was great as well, the Bianca was out of this world. The garlic:cheese:oil ratio was PERFECT. Where do I begin with my love Five Points Pizza? When I first started eating Five Points, I would declare that it was a "spiritual experience." Their pizza is the best, and I was always amazed by how their slice of the day could always be so delicious. Everything about their pizza is perfection. I got to know my now husband while eating Five Points after running club. The staff always accepted our sweaty-ness after hot Nashville runs. My husband and I got married in Nashville in January. We had a very short list of what we needed for our wedding, and serving Five Points was one of them. Neither the church nor our reception venue would allow food inside, so we served Five Points after our ceremony on the lawn of the church. It was the BEST. All of our guests raves about the pizza. Five Points worked with me to order a bunch of pizza. They delivered it DURING our ceremony without a hitch. And despite the excitement of my wedding day, I still almost cried over their perfect pizza. read more

So I came to five points pizza based on friends' recommendations. I got the meat and the veggie specials and i wasn't too fond of them. Not much taste and quite plain for being a special. Prices are pretty nice and I like how you can get a take out slice or pizza or sit down at the restaurant! Very fun casual environment and great staff. Kind of disappointed, but it makes sense, that you only have 4 single slice options : pep, cheese, veggie, and meat. You can order a full pizza with all the other options though. Overall, I'd only recommend the cheese or pepperoni. However, now that I've visited a handful of times, I can say that the food is very inconsistent on taste and it's disappointing to not be able to expect the same quality every visit. Hadn't been here before and had heard wonderful things. I've only been to east Nashville a handful of times, but I definitely need to visit it more. There isn't parking for actual space, so be ready to find parking elsewhere. The actual restaurant is quite small and seating is limited. There were five of us girls and we opted to squeeze into a booth. Let me just, with the amount and size of food, I wouldn't do that again. Lol. Service started a little slow but ended great. Very attentive once we got our food. We came for lunch. I ordered the lunch special: two slices of pizza and a drink. I didn't want to order regular slices, so I ordered two of their daily specials. Meat and prosciutto. Since I had read great things about the garlic knots, I HAD to get a half order. Did I mention their food is huge?! I probably shouldn't have ordered that much food lol. Service was phenomenal. Pizza and garlic knots were just A-OK. During our stay in Nashville, we found ourselves craving pizza. So, I searched the Yelpternet and came across this pizza place with fabulous ratings. We pulled up in our Lyft, and it looked promising. The place was pretty busy, and our group of three agreed that it was kind of cool that they had different sections for takeout, window, and dine-in. We went to the dine-in. Luckily, there was no wait (Monday night around 7:45pm). Our waitress was really great. She was super friendly, checked in on us a bunch of times, made sure to refill our cups whenever they were low, and even let me switch from basil lemonade to regular lemonade, when I discovered I really really don't like basil lemonade. So, since we're on the subject of lemonade... Basil lemonade is weird. There is a lot of basil, not that much lemonade. In fact, there wasn't much lemonade flavor in the regular lemonade either. We ordered half a dozen garlic knots to start with. The knots were huge and the bread itself was fluffy and tasty, however, they were very light on garlic/oil. I love garlic, so this was a huge disappointment to me. I still ate two knots though-I just made sure to dunk them in LOTS of marinara sauce. (Side note: we didn't finish these, so I decided to take them back to the hotel. The awesome waitress gave me a box with a new dipping cup of marinara.) Now, the pizza. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of prosciutto and basil. (Basil is a big thing here. They put slivers of it over the knots too.) The pizza was good. The crust was thin (NY style) and the toppings were evenly distributed and tasty. However, that's it. Good pizza, but nothing that makes it stand out enough to deserve a higher rating. One of the members of my group was actually disappointed, considering how I told him it had rave reviews. He noticed that some of the cheese on his slices wasn't fully melted. If I lived in Nashville, I'd probably grab a slice again if I were in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way or wait in some crazy line for this pizza. read more

To start, I feel it's important for me to note that we ordered out from here. So I can't speak to the ambiance, table service, or anything else that one would get in the restaurant. I can only speak to my husband and I's experience with take-out/carry-out. We ordered an XL pepperoni pizza and the knots for pickup (after a failed Postmates attempt - but this rating is no way tied to that debacle). My husband claims that the best way to compare each pizza place is to get a simple, classic pepperoni pizza from each place we go. But that's besides the point. My husband ordered over the phone, no issues there. We were told 30 minutes. When he went to pick it up, he did have to wait another 20-30 minutes because they were running behind. Understandable for a Saturday night. Overall, he said the host/hostess was pleasant and empathetic. My rating primarily comes from the pizza. We really just didn't think it was that great. Very VERY heavily garlic-y and salty sauce. And don't get me wrong, garlic is good, but this was ALL I tasted. All I tasted in the pizza was garlic, salt, and cheese. The bread didn't have an especially pleasant flavor so there just wasn't a good balance in the pizza. It wasn't a "bad" pizza at all. It just wasn't a pizza that I wouldn't want to have again. This place seriously knows how to do pizza. Personally, I'm not a huge pizza fan. So un-American, I know. But I could seriously eat here more than frequently. We did get here around 7:30 on a Friday for a group of 4. We're pretty patient people and prepared to wait. By that, I mean we went across the street and had drinks until our table was ready. I like that they call you when the table is ready. We still had drinks and asked if 5 more minutes was acceptable, and they were totally fine with it. I mean, they're already starting off awesome simply by being cool. We started off with beer, I had the Yazoo pale ale. Typical choice. My boyfriend had something I can't pronounce. Delicious choice. We started off with garlic knots. I don't even know how to describe the level of yum! I mean, there's dough... Amd it's covered in garlic, fresh basil, Annnnd of guess olive oil. I didn't even need the marinara offered. Pizza... I have a deep love for fresh mozzarella and most places don't do it, but FIVE POINTS DOES! I was extremely stoked about it! The crust, perfect. It really hurts my heart to write this but it needs to be said. Five Points has steadily gone downhill over the last couple months. The latest instance was when we stopped by right before 11 for a single slice of cheese pizza. We walk up and the girl is counting the money in the register and barking we are closed. We said oh, we just wanted to grab a single slice, since you close at 11, we thought you'd have some left (as I can see a kid behind the counter shoving a slice down his throat). She said they throw all the pizza out at 11. It was 11 on the dot. I respect restaurant's closing times and would never want to be an inconvenience however this is a single slice of pizza that you clearly had but wanted to be a jerk because you could. As a local I recommend Five Points to everyone I can. A guy named eric used to run the place and he always did a great job of taking care of the community. Not sure what happened but the staff has been downright rude the last few times I've been. Hope they fix their attitude. read more
