I stopped in here for a cup of coffee and a light breakfast with a friend after visiting another local business. The coffee here is very good and fresh. The breakfast sandwich was quite large as it appears to have two freshly scrambled eggs and two slices of cheese. Carnivores Beware !!! This place only has turkey bacon so my dining partner opted out of the bacon impersonator. The chocolate croissant was not made in house but was ok with plenty of chocolate. Service was passable. We were clearly newcomers and were treated as outlanders especially in comparison to the "regulars." No one was rude, but considering the location and lack of parking, I would expect better. read more

I've been coming since last year. The members staff are helpful--Holly is perfect. The Morning Coffee is a great value. The bagels are toasted and warm. They have Pumpkin Pie Lattes *year round*. Wow..terrific experience. Amazing how a little pride in a job well done can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. We're in from out of town - after a long day with the kids at Sesame Place, stopped in for a quick coffee for my wife and I...to go. No big deal. Iced coffee and a flavored decaf. You know, the kind of thing that a place like DD or even Starbucks churns out in 10 seconds and forgets about it. Not here! The guy who waited on me was awesome - chatty, polite...enthusiastic. Brewed a pourover Chemex, freshly ground, for my wife's decaf. All that effort for a plain cup of coffee....the steps that went into it were laborious, but worth it. Preheated the kettle, wet the filter, ground the beans, poured the water (slowly)....and finally let it bloom and steep and brew. And mine? "You're going to love this!" he said. Explained to me the arduous cold brew method they use, the result it has on the coffee, etc. And it was awesome. Rich, nutty, chocolatey. I was looking for an independent coffeehouse near my new home and I found it!This coffeehouse is located at the five points intersection of Upper Darby PA across from township building and one block up Garrett Road from the 69th Street Terminal. The staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable on coffee stats. They have their own roaster which roasts single origin beans. Guatamalan, Mexican, Burundi, and Ethiopian this time all medium roasts and the House Blend is a darker roast used for espresso drinks. We both had iced Americano's made by the friendly and talented barista Ms Starbuck. They have free wifi and munchies, plus daily soup and sandwiches. We both had a pastry - I had red velvet cup cake and my friend had chocolate croissant. Most pastries made in house. The space is beautiful and serene and they have an upstairs good for quiet study. read more

I was worried this place wouldn't get the recognition it deserves because you can drive right past it, but it looks like people found this treasure! The BEST coffee place in the area! The shop is this perfect cafe where you can set up your laptop, read a book or just enjoy the quiet! The cafe is SUPER clean and the staff is SUPER friendly and nice!! I work across the street so I find myself "forgetting my coffee" more often just so I have an excuse to go here. I always get lattes and both iced and hot from here, are the best I've ever had!! They have a great menu! They also serve breakfast/lunch sandwiches, bagels, croissants, smoothies, soups, salads, and so on! Really cool place to hang out. The upstairs lounge is quaint and quiet and I love the Peach Apricot ice tea.

I really enjoyed my time there. I like their upstairs room with comfy cushy chairs, and electric outlets all throughout the room so you can charge your electronic devices without having to try to find a seat with one. What I really liked was that it's so spacious, and not cluttered with tons of tables like most coffee places. It also doesn't smell too strongly of coffee either. I like the smell of coffee, but when my clothes & hair smell like it for the rest of the day, it makes me a bit sick. (This is why I like this place better than Starbucks). The tea was great, their sandwich was good(I would have liked my bread toasted though...I should have asked if they could do that). If I lived closer, I would make this my permanent study location. read more

Stopped by after reading Yelp. This cafe is in Philly's "Koreatown" and right across the street from the HMart there. Doesn't seem to be free parking here but the meters are super cheap ($.25/45min.) This place is huge and not packed (on a Monday from 4-6ish)! It is a great place to work or study with many outlets and good wifi. The coffee was a little expensive relative to other cafe's in the greater Philly area ($3+ for a large). This is also one of the only coffee shops in Philly with two floors. The staff was super friendly. The men's bathroom didn't lock. read more

I stopped by Five Points cafe yesterday because I wanted a quick bite that wasn't a fast food chain. I was so pleasantly surprised. I ordered an iced americano; the flavor was incredible. Espresso was rich and flavorful, nice and strong! For food I ordered the chicken salad, also so good. Chopped chicken, celery, grapes, not overly salted or overly ridden with mayo which I appreciate. Multigrain bread and lettuce were fresh. I added white cheddar that was also good. Basically I want to eat here everyday. A large iced espresso drink, large sandwich and chips for 8 bucks?! It'd be at least 12 at Starbucks and this was better :) read more

Wow, what a great addition to "downtown" Upper Darby! This is how coffee should be made - freshly ground beans, water at just the right temperature, slow-dripped - if you have never had Yergacheffe before, you are in for a real treat. Absolutely no need for sugar or cream when coffee is this good. And yes, the staff is super-nice, the upstairs (the former dentist's library) is beautiful and a great place for quiet work with free wifi... As others have said, my new fave go-to! read more
