They come right to your door, on time, friendly instructors - every single one of them. I honestly don't know how they find people with such great attitudes. My daughter gets a little apprehensive about new situations so everyone made her really comfortable. They said she did great. So! Because of that, we bought three more classes (extra six hours of experience). The first new lesson, she got over her fear of the freeway and did really well. She was so scared when it's her parents but with an instructor, she got over that. The second new lesson? This was the issue and absolutely kudos to Drivers Ed Direct. So, she gets panic attacks sometimes. It used to be really bad where she would miss school and it was almost daily and she hated it but she couldn't get through them, it was a rough year at the time. But, we got them mostly under control but for whatever reason... she had one about 15 minutes before her instructor showed up. I couldn't get her out of it (it's awful to see, as a parent), she was trying but she couldn't breath, short of breath. I greeted the instructor and said I have to deal with 'something' first and he was so patient, when he didn't need to be, as we were on the clock. She was in no shape to drive, it was bad... so I told him that, unfortunately, we had to cancel but we'd just eat the costs, no probably at all. He was totally amazing, my God... I was so stressed and he was like, "Totally no worries, I live close, it's okay." Nicest guy, per usual with them. The day after, I just emailed them to just apologize for that and I didn't even bring-up the cost or anything because, yeah, I should be on the hook for that, it's not their problem. But, guess what. They said it's okay and didn't even charge anything! They are going to reschedule it! I had to come on here immediately and pass that along because they absolutely didn't have to do that -- at all. But that's who they are - they care.

I had called today asking to get a refund for a class and the first person I spoke to, told me he wasn't sure they issued refunds and that it wasn't something that they bring up. Which was surprising. It is a customers right to know about these things as it helps guarantee them further reassurance in their purchase. That is when he told me to wait and I was transferred to a woman whom ended up issuing me my refund but had told me that they would deduct a $15 processing fee. I know other driving schools do not implement this method and would surely give you the full amount back. Please be warned ahead of time before purchasing a session with them, I would hate to imagine someone else going through the same thing. If you choose to pay for this anyway (the price is much less than other courses), MAKE SURE YOU READ THE DMV BOOK AS WELL, OR YOU WILL FAIL THE WRITTEN TEST. The behind-the-wheel portion of the course is a nightmare. It is not possible to book more than two sessions at a time. The MINIMUM wait for a session is three weeks. This means that you will be taking a minimum of about five months to complete the six courses needed to get a license. They don't seem the least bit concerned about cancelling a session very late in the game, but if you need to for any reason, (a) you've set yourself back another month, and (b) if you don't cancel early enough, it'll cost you another $60. On its face, this looks like a good deal. It is not. Don't waste your time and money. Go elsewhere.

I was only able to schedule 2 lessons and you have a mandated 2 week gap in between for practice (which I understand) but once she completed her first lesson it took about a day to allow me to schedule her 3rd appointment and the first available was a month later. From start to finish, I estimated that it would take 10 months to complete the lessons. The AAA rep I spoke with to cancel was very helpful but it seems that AAA management is aware of these issues and from the length of time people have provided feedback on this, not much is being done.

When I confronted her and asked her about the McDonald visit and 30 min break she stated we had to do paperwork. I feel like my son got cheated from driving and she definitely took my money. She refused to give him his certificate unless I paid for the last lesson. I reluctantly paid her so my son can get his drivers license but I definitely definitely would not use her. Pay the extra and go somewhere else. She is the only employee and does not have open hours, after the first lesson she informed me that she does not do afternoons, evenings or freeways. Unfortunately it was too late to change driving school, trust me I called and tried but because she already signed his permit I had to continue with her. I feel like we got cheated and my son still needs so much correction.
