Five Iron is a great option for golf simulator nights with friends. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was clean and well-kept. This is not the place to go if you're looking for great food or appetizers, but they have a good selection of drinks at fair prices. Would definitely go back! read more

Interesting place to visit. The hours for this place are pretty extensive. It goes from 6am-11pm some days of the week. They have a bar with bar food on top of several golf simulators. It's a really cool place to practice golfing or to go to when it is cold outside/isn't golf season. The people that work there are super friendly. The food, on the other hand, was terrible. I ordered chicken wings and they came out super late cause the first batch was burnt. Then when they brought out the second batch, I asked for it "to go" cause it was getting late. When I opened it up I realized they never even mixed the chicken with the sauce. The sauce was all the way at the bottom of the container (see images). The sauce was ok when mixed but nothing to write home about. Definitely this place is good for a virtual golf experience but don't look at this place for their food/drink selection. read more

I went to this five iron location because i wanted to work on my golf game. I ended up bringing my clubs because i wanted to become more consistent with what i have. I was greated by an employee, brian, the moment i stepped through the door. He grabbed my clubs and took them to a simulator. Throughout my hour of hitting, he constantly checked in to see if i needed anything. Brian really made my first time experience a great one! read more

Great spot in the Rittenhouse area to get your golf fix, regardless of weather outside! Jeff and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating for a large Wharton group. We averaged 3-5 people per bay, and the event went great. They played live music throughout the location, and they had different live TV options available wherever you wanted to sit/stand when you weren't golfing. The best part was enjoying a few swings without having to lug my own set of clubs. The bar was fully stocked, so that kept my wife and other group members entertained while we each alternated shots on the simulator. The technology seemed pretty accurate, both on the driving range "practice shots" as well as on the "Pebble Beach" course. As someone with a pretty consistent slice in real life, it definitely tracked my swings accurately! A few of the more experienced golfers in our group were able to provide some advice to the group, suggestions for how to alter a stance/grip, and it was a nice, stress-free way for everyone to learn a bit and have fun. Today I just dropped in to see if I could get a last-minute lesson. I got lucky as Justin Procope was available. Justin worked with me on my driving (my slice) and my inability to consistently hit straight iron shots. He made a number of subtle and not so subtle changes in my swing, club path and hands forward. He played a Nick Faldo video to demonstrate, as well as personally demonstrating. I left there hitting driver and iron shots pretty much straight up the fairway. Instant gratification. I couldn't be happier. Justin has a great disposition and easily gets his point across and takes the time to explain the confusing Trackman data that pops up after each shot. I hosted my husband's 30th birthday party at Five Iron Golf and we had a blast! Melissa was our event manager - she was amazing to work with and very responsive from the very beginning planning stages right up until the day before. We rented two simulators for two hours with 21 guests and it seemed to work out perfectly. We ordered three small platters which was more than enough food for our group and everyone commented how it was delicious. The drinks were tasty and refreshing as well. Everybody had a wonderful time. The whole Five Iron team is incredible as well. We were greeted by Eddie and assisted by Dom at the bar and Rojan throughout the evening. All three guys, plus other staff members, checked on us continuously and were just so friendly and helpful. We really appreciate everyone's hospitality and cannot wait to come back! read more

Sure, it's a little more expensive than a driving range, but the Trackmans that give you your swing data, the high-quality service from the staff, and the great cheaply-priced food on the menu make the place well worth it! Fun date night! Stopped by this place when they were doing $1 simulator rentals. We had a great time, even though I'm not very good at golf ahaha. One complaint is sometimes I'd swing and make contact but my ball wouldn't move on the screen. Maybe it was the way i was standing, but hopefully it'll get fixed if it's a glitch. read more

Awesome first time club fitting experience with Fitting Pro Cory Reilly at FIve Iron Philly. After letting him know what I was interested in (high handicapper looking to replace my irons) he thoroughly went through the fitting process and we got to work trying out clubs. Cory was extremely knowledgeably and walked through the data during our session to help me better understand the fitting feedback and how the different clubs we tested performed with my swing. Patiently answered all of my questions regarding the data with helpful insight to make a well informed decision. Wasn't rushed at all during the process and he didn't pressure or hard sell me on anything. Was clear he wasn't pushing a specific brand or model and really just wanted to help out and find what worked best for me personally. Entire experience was top notch and cannot recommend Cory enough as made the entire fitting experience fun, helpful and certainly worthwhile. Next time I'm in need of fitting will be returning to work with Cory and Five Iron. read more

Unreal experience. Fitting Pro Cory Reily was knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly, thorough. Cory took the time to discuss the process of the fitting and all the elements that would ultimately go into fitting me for the best irons for my game. I have been over to Five iron twice now and both times have just been 5 stars all around. I love golfing and it is a great way to get some swings in near my apartment. The clubs they have there are really nice, so you don't have to bring your own. The tracker is one of the better ones I have used and seems extremely accurate. I like that is shows you ways to correct your swing with how you hit the ball. A lot of great courses to play. I definitely will be getting a lesson as well. I had friends who never golfed before there and they loved it too. Food is very good, the chicken sliders and crab dip were our favs. Normal bar setup with everything you could want. And they could hang and drink and jump on and take some shots when they wanted to without having to be pro golfers. I think it is a good mix of serious golfing as well as a fun time especially if you like an activity than just going somewhere to sit at a bar. Overall, we had a great time. Staff was extremely helpful and service was quick. Really glad they opened up downtown and look forward to more outings here! read more

If the soft opening is any indication of what's to come from Five Iron, Philadelphia is going to be in for a treat. Great Beers on tap, delicious food and GOLF! All of the staff were friendly and ready to assist however needed, whether it be a food allergy or a different set of clubs. The atmosphere is the perfect amount of upscale and casual. As a golfer in Philly, the winter makes it difficult to stay in playing shape. This is the perfect alternative and I honestly got lucky because I work right in center city. The feedback you get on ball flight is not comparable to other tracing technology like topgolf. Also a great place to get fitted for clubs at as well, had a great experience with Cory.
