One of our favorite stops in the road! Bathrooms are clean and food is yummy!! Burgers are HUGE! I get the junior size and leave completely satisfied. My family loves the bacon cheeseburgers! I have tried the veggie burger and they are delightful if you are cutting back! A large fry feeds 4-6 people!! They're never ending! The Cajun fries are interesting!! I just wanted to write and tell everyone about the amazing customer service at Five Guys on the Grand Parkway in New Caney. Store# TX-1843. I stopped in for lunch on 7/31 around 2:30pm and was greeted immediately by the cashier, April. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a drink and the total came out to just over $12. I had just come from the bank because my debit card had been turned off for fraudulent activity so I had to withdraw cash for the week. All I had was a $10 bill and a $100 bill. I asked if April was able to make change for the $100 and unfortunately she didn't have the cash in her drawer and the store was having issues with their safe so she couldn't make change. April could have easily advised me to remove the fries or drink from my order to bring the cost down under $10 but instead she very graciously comped my fries and drink to bring the total down to $8. I asked her to keep the full $10 but she just smiled and declined to keep the change. I received my meal cooked by Johnny and the burger and fries were delicious!! I also received enough fries to feed a small army . That small action may not have meant much to April but it meant a lot to me and made my day. Have been here a couple of times and the place never disappoints. The burgers are, in the words of President Trump, YUGE!!! The little burger is the size of an average quarter pounder. The regular size burgers are half pounders! Don't even think about getting a large fry unless you have eight people with you either! I wish I could say that at least the place isn't expensive, but the truth is I could have taken twice as many people to McDonalds and paid less.
