Customer service was great! Cleanliness: the ketchup packets were all sticky. The cook was touching his hat then wrapping the sandwiches...coughing and not covering while wrapping the sandwiches. The fact it came out to $41 before tip is insane for what can be considered "fast food" is insane. We waited nearly an hour for it to arrive, and when it did, it was all wrong. The sticker on the side of the bag showed all four items. However, when we opened the bag, only one fry and one burger were inside. The fries were thrown inside haphazardly, and around 20 of them were in the bag. The burger was not made the way either of us ordered. I am so surprised this location does not have as many 5 star reviews as it deserves. Maybe its because people don't have the right expectation when walking in. This is definitely worth the money and the concept behind Five Guys is awesome; 'go to college or start a business'. The inside was very clean and being maintained while I was waiting for my order. They have some old school thrift store type of music playing. It's ok. The restaurant wasn't that busy. I really enjoyed my burger and fries. I love that you can basically build your burger with all the freebies. I ordered a single, which is cheaper but also fulling if you like to add toppings. I had the grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and the green peppers. I also put lettuce, tomato, and light mayo. The only thing that I did not like is that they only have Kraft american cheese, which was still good, but I like other cheeses (white american goes great with grilled onions, and so does Swiss, provolone, and pepper jack). The french fries are delicious because they are real potatoes, and they give you a ton. I feel that you really get your money worth, and good quality. I actually took a third of mine home to reheat for later, because the real potatoes, actually don't taste disgusting when reheated. My son had the grilled cheese sandwich, and he loved it. I guess the Kraft cheese is great for kids. Say R.I.P. to your diet and try it out LOL, or at least cheat here. I also liked the free peanuts. They were salty and delicious. And they made a great snack later. The service was also pretty good as well. The lobby needed a little attention. I've been a fan of Five Guys Burgers and Fries since New York. I enjoy their burgers and fries, I think they taste good given the fact they don't overly season their meat and fries. I think it's because they are trying to accommodate customers they may have hypotension. I think their burgers are seasoned just right. I'll tell you one thing....I prefer them than McDonalds, Burger King (which I hate) and all the other big chain burger places I grew up with as a child. I'm a huge fan of five guys restaurants. When traveling, I always stop by when I can. I've visited ones in Garlinburg, TN, Christiansburg and Roanoke, Va, and now McDonough, Ga. McDonough has been the best by far in terms of the food. It's pricey for a burger joint but well worth it. My 2nd visit is the only reason I can't give five stars. Given the social distancing that's going on, I had placed and online order ahead of time and showed up a little past time to pick up my order and still had to wait 30+ minutes to get my order. Granted it was seemingly busy at the time and there was only one guy running his tail off back and forth taking and bringing out orders. Give that guy a raise! This leads me to my second reason I can't give 5 stars. From the time I arrived until I left with my order; the guy taking orders was wearing gloves but was sweating inside the gloves and was touching everything with them on. In the 30 minutes I waited he never stopped to wash his hands and put on fresh gloves. I understand things were very hectic but at this point in time we need to be a little more health conscious and aware of how peoples food is being handled. read more

First thing the place was packed , decorated with many "best burger ever" signs and reviews on the walls. When it was time to order I was shocked at how expensive everything was ,but decided to go with the bacon cheeseburger all the way ,and small cajun fries. The burger was huge and I was excited to dig in ,but unfortunately I was disappointed. Everything was fresh and the meat was juicy but tasted very bland . I looked it up and found out that they don't use seasoning or salt on the meat which makes for a very ,bland sandwich. I came back two more times thinking that it would get better since the place was new, but it was the same. idk I think the burgers are just ok but overrated after spending $15 on burger and fries I expected more varity and gourmet burgers. We have been eating at this location since it opened and have liked it. My husband goes to this location 2 to 3 times a month with his employees and boss from out to town. It's been really good. HOWEVER.... tonight we went in and had the WORST food and experience. I bit into my bacon cheeseburger, and there were little bits of rock hard bacon that sent a sharp pain when I bit down and felt like it about broke my bottom tooth. I went to tell one of the employees (Matthew) and ask for them to cook me some more bacon. About ten minutes later, it was still not done, so I went up to the counter to see what was going on. A young girl (Brianna), said "what do you want?" I told her about my tooth and what happened she said "that is the way we cook it for everyone who comes in here". I said, "That's not how the bacon was my husband's burger. His is cooked right, and he has whole strips on his burger." She said "well your bacon is still cooking, and it's going to be a while" In a very argumentative and condescending voice. And for me to go sit back down. In the meantime, we started eating the fries, and they were almost burnt and very hard. At that point, I did not want to go back up there and deal with the rude girl (Brianna, Who I found out later is the manager for the evening). So my husband took the fries up there and said "these are way over cooked, and we've never had it like that before". Then he threw them in the trash because they told him too. About five or 10 minutes later, Matthew called me up there to get the bacon and the fries. When I got back to the table, he shorted us and only gave us about a third of the fries that we had received the first time. For anyone who knows, five guys always gives a ton of fries outside a the cup overflowing in the bag. We paid over $35 for this meal, and should not be treated so badly. At that point, we were ready to leave. I went back up to the counter and asked who the manager is. Matthew shrugged, rolled his eyes, and threw his hands up in the air. He turned and signaled Brianna. Brianna turned from the grill and said " I'm the manager. And my name is on the receipt". Then I ask who her manager is, and she mumbled something in an extremely rude way, so we went back to the table and threw everything away because we did not know if they did something to our food. We did not want to take the chance of eating spit on food. Hopefully tomorrow when I call the corporate office, Someone will care and do something about this situation. I will make certain to tell everybody I tell about this five guys Mcdonough location will know what happened to us tonight.
