Getting older I can only tolerate beef specifically burgers every BLUE moon. Still, that craving for a burger seems to creep up on me. After finishing my workload, I decided my craving must be fulfilled. It was a toss up between Red Robin and Five guys! Birh great contenders but my mind instantly thought of the malt vinegar plus fry ketchup ratio. There were three locations within my vicinity yet this location had the best Google reviews. After a 12 minute drive I pulled up, slowly side eyeing Red Robin as I pulled into the parking lot . I ordered a little bacon burger with just about everything, the secret.... Jalapeños! Adds the perfect kick and beat to a juicy burger. Made fresh. My eyes are usually bigger than my stomach but I ate the entire lil sammich and that says alot for me! Secret number two... Malt vinegar your fries!!!!! I don't know why I decided on this one day, but it changed my fry game life. The cashier wasn't the nicest or welcoming but I breezed over that All and all, my craving expectation was met and I'm woo king my way back to my car now. Full and satisfied! read more

Just wanted to stop in and say that I'm a HUGE 5 Guys fan, and this is my favorite 5 Guys of the many that I've tried. Of course, I'm probably a little biased - I grew up going here and it was a favorite hangout in middle and high school days. Still, 5 Guys is by far my favorite fast casual burger chain, and this one is my favorite iteration of it all. Honestly, I've probably been over 200 times in the 10 years I've been visiting. My order has been wrong exactly one time, which is a great record as far as I'm concerned. The burgers are always cooked perfectly, the fries are crispy and plentiful, and the peanuts are extra salty. While not my favorite place for a shake, theirs are pretty good. The place is spotless and I've seen the staff handle crowds of 150 people with great patience and kindness. They're all friendly, hardworking, good people. They're welcoming and smiling every time I come in, and nobody judges me for my addiction, haha. :) I miss this place a lot now that I'm in Tuscaloosa - the one here just isn't the same. This rating is based on the curbside which ain't curbside. I ordered online, the whole point was to not have to go in a busy store. The app said park in a designated area and that's it, so I parked in curbside parking and waited. And waited. Annnnnnd waited. I called and asked if they had true curbside and the person that answered said yes but didn't inquire about my order or ask if I was waiting. So I go inside and they tell me 'oh you just pull up to the curb'. Like fr?? If that's what I was supposed to do then the app should say that. I go in to get my order and my order is all in the back of a table full and I STILL had to wait, like what's the damn point of curbside. Whenever I find myself ravenous I drive down to this five guys and I consume a cheeseburger. They're so hella good that they make my toes curl. When you enter this fine dining establishment you can already smell the HEAVENLY FOOD that is likely crafted by the hands of god himself. Whenever I get a wiff of it at the door I fr be levitating over the the counter like a cartoon character to follow the smell. The wait is never too bad and when it is a little long it's all well worth it when you receive that little brown paper sac with grease stains on the bottom from the delicious meal inside of it. I also have many memories from the restaurant; like the time I twisted a ketchup packet so aggressively it exploded all over my face. I felt so violated but I couldn't stay aggravated for long after I ate my cheeseburger because the five guys euphoria sensation overtook me. I am well aware that they call your ticket number when your food is ready but instead this time the amazing staff remember me and my friends ticket numbers and brought our food to us. My take on 5GBF is slightly different from Derek's. Nothing on In N Out's menu (secret or not) comes close to that of 5 Guys. The burgers and fries here are 100 times better. They are the way you would make them at home after years of practice. In N Out is good, but you can easily tell it is fast food. Not the case at 5GBF. Note: each time you eat here you're most likely taking a year off your life, but you will be happy until that heart attack comes, so enjoy it. read more

Five Guys totally buys into their own hype and then doesn't live up to it. Everywhere you look - the walls, the take out menu, the cups - you are bombarded with quotes about how wonderful this place is and how many awards they've won. The menu has a choice of 4 burgers (plain, bacon, cheese, bacon & cheese) in two sizes - reg. (2 patties) and Little (1 patty). There are also 4 hot dogs (same options), grilled cheese, veggie(?) and two sizes of Fries (regular or Cajun). Then there is a laundry list of toppings that can be added at no additional charge. Regardless of what you choose and whether you're dining in or getting food to go, food is presented stuffed in a plain brown bag. The burger was OK, but it was just a burger. I could have gotten one just as good down the block at Wendy's for a fraction of the price. The fries (I went with Cajun) would have been good if they weren't soggy. A small order of fries is more than plenty for one person and could easily feed two or possibly three. Bottom line: I may give the fries another chance if someone else has their heart set on going there and I'm tagging along; however, if it's entirely my decision, I likely won't go back. read more

What can I say, except F ABULOUS? I love that the menu is simple (Hamburger or hot dog?) and the toppings are plenty. There are two kinds of fries and two people can easily share a regular order. Peanuts in the shell are available to snack on while you wait for your food. The regular hamburger is plenty big enough, but on a few occasions I have gotten the big burger with cheese and bacon, but it really is too much burger for me. But every bite is awesome. I have been twice now. The first time amazing burger, so surprised that an order of fries is enough for 2 people. But still I prefer In'N 'Out, but that is not an option here. The second time I went, the burger was so sloppy, is dissolved the bun, and it all mushed through my fingers, so was not as enjoyable, I didn't realize that 2 burgers comes as standard and you have to ask for a single burger on the bun, and I will get them to hold all the sautéed mushrooms etc. But a great place for a burger, very expensive, burger, fries and drink for $11, but OK for a treat once-in-a while. read more

Yep this is a franchise burger place but to those who have never tried it, you should. The fries are fresh cut and very tasty and large in portion. The burgers are built to order ( my favorite is Grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, hot peppers, Swiss with A-1 and hot sauce ) with fries and a drink you will come out over $10.00 but it is far better than the average fast food restaurants burgers. More like you would make at home. They put your fries in a cup and after they place your burger and fries in the bag they just go ahead and dump more fries in the bag on top of everything which is pretty cool. Today felt like a burgers and fries day. This franchise is rumoured to open in one of our town centers. The employees were very inviting portions are huge. I ordered a bacon cheese burger and went large on everything. Cajun fries were pretty good and portion size were huge. Barely could finish the fries this place beats out mcdonalds burger king etc. but compared to whataburger and in and out its an even tie. read more

Favorite place to grap a burger at a sit down resturant. They beets Red Robin besides the onion rings, which Five Guys do not offer, and less burger options, however Five Guys Burger are really good, they use 80/20 ground chuck which it the best for burgers. It isn't a in&out place (isn't fast food). Great for families. Manager and crew are friendly. You can get a burger big or small, and a fry is large enough for two. Coke products and tea to drink lemon on the side if you like lemon in you tea. The food is so good I never notice if they have a TV..I think they do and if so it must be on mute.
