The good: I actually think the burgers are so good, most of the so called "bar burgers" can't compete. I know that's sacrilegious to suggest that, but the burgers are everything a burger should be. They are perfectly juicy (greasy), good bun, good toppings and no foo-foo sauces to cover up a second rate piece of meat. The burgers rock, but that's where the story ends for me. The mediocre: The fries are so salty I might not have to pee for a week. McDonald's has far superior fries. No contest. Also, there are no chili cheese fries, which seems fitting for this type of place. My recommendation: Get the burger and call it good. The burgers are fantastic. read more

This location is in Bucktown off of 44th St in Grandville. The restaurant staff were welcoming and the entire place was very clean. They quickly greeted us. Since it was my first time ordering, the staff explained the menu and added options. You do have to order at the front, pay and then find a seat. They call your order up once it's ready for you to pick up at the counter. I ended up ordering a bacon cheeseburger with all the toppings and fresh cut french fries. The fries were by far my favorite super crispy and FRESH! The burger was excellent and the add-on toppings were nice and crisp. I would definitely recommend this location and will be back myself. It was easy to get to, parking was convenient right in front and your order was made quickly. read more

Good food- but be aware, WHEN YOU ORDER A MEAL AND THEY ASK YOU WHAT SIZE, ITS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR "REGULAR" size. They will definitely get you with making you think you're ordering the meal as is, nope, they charge you nearly $2 MORE to upsize, when you don't even realize you're upsizing. SMH... read more

Fantastic food! Our burgers were perfection and they didn't skimp on the fries! I would highly recommend ordering on the app -once arrived, we were able to bypass the loooooong line of customers at the register, going straight to the pickup line. This easily saved 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and the food was hot and fresh! read more

September 22, 2022 9pm this place is always good but they were out of pop. Only 30% of the flavors were working and it was the unpopular flavors. read more

Expensive as heck for burgers and a shake. Go to steak and shake. Waited 20 minutes for our food that was ready just passed up by the servers. Our order was messed up. No bacon or jalapeños on my burger- got cheese though. Paid over $100 for 5 of us. And to have it sit for 15 minutes still have to drive it home. I screwed up picking this place. Maybe there is a 5 girls around read more

Haven't been here in almost a year, but decided to stop in, & I am glad I did! Food was great, service was great, & my food came out quickly. Perfect spot to bring kids for a quick bite to eat that isn't a typical "fast food" joint as well. read more

Looking for a place to order lunch from. Clicked on order now, entered address, got a fries menu. When I clicked on burgers nothing happens. If I can't order in 2 clicks like Amazon I'm walking on by. read more

Went in for a burger today and the cashier Jody K. Was the rudest person I've come across in a long long time. She along with her horrible attitude got my order wrong and was even worse when I went back in to have them fix it. The kids working were great and I was sure to let them know they weren't to blame. I won't ever go there again. They didn't wipe down the outside tables after people finished eating either. Almost $40 to be treated like crap. Nope not again. read more

There was a lot of hype surrounding the opening of a Five Guys, and as I learned, it was largely unfounded. I showed up on a Wednesday evening, and I was surprised at first by the prices -- even the most basic burger is $3.50. Sure, it comes with as many toppings as you want, but when you have simple tastes, it seems a bit overboard. Then you get told everything is a la carte -- no combos, nothing. In short, I paid $11 for what I could've paid $5 or less for. The burger had little to no seasoning, but it was greasy deliciousness. If not for the cheese and bacon, I'd be more disappointed. The fries, which are apparently a big deal, tasted more of the peanut oil they fry them in than anything else. The only perk was the super soda machine -- so many choices, so little time. If you want to pay $4+ for a burger, your local fast food chains might be the better deal. Or even your local greasy spoon for that matter. You might even get better customer service. read more

I mobile ordered. When I picked up, my food was ready but the milkshakes took 25 minutes to have made after I arrived. Honestly, it was just the way the staff was being managed. The cashier was being told she was responsible for making the shakes but that she had to clear her line. The grill was backed up like crazy they were behind and lost. So no one could find time to make the shakes. The cashier needed some more guidance. She should have slowed taking orders to let the grill catch up. She could make a shake or two in between taking orders. My food was cold by the time I left the store, but at least my milkshakes were fresh.....terrible managing of its employees. Maybe it should be 6 guys so you could have someone doing the shakes read more

I have been there twice and i never seem to get the same amount of fries everyone says they get. The burgers are good bit pricey, i would rather go down the street and get a burgers, fries, and a milkshake for the same price as one of their birgers and they are just as good. read more

I absolutely love 5 guys, it's my second favorite chain burger place behind in-n-out! the burgers are great, the amount of options for toppings that are included at no extra charge is impressive, and the fries (which I prefer cajun seasoning option) are fresh and cooked in peanut oil. obviously the lunch and dinner rush are going to be busier. my friend says it best "guess how many guys i have in me!" read more

Love how we can stop by and walk in and get awesome HOT fries. Easy, simple and quick.

Bacon Cheese Burger and Fries Average greasy fried burger on low quality bun and great fries. A very limited menu, with limited options for available menu items. Somewhat sufficient choices of toppings with some staples like olives missing. No choice of cheese, bun or cooking preference. Overall impression is fast food quality with fast food/greasy spoon atmosphere provided at price that is above many full service establishments with broader menus. Many better burgers around and many equal quality burgers at significantly better prices easily found elsewhere. Don't be drawn in by the hype but recommend stopping once to try the fries. read more

I am never disappointed in this place. Every time o eat here its better than i remember. It is however exspensive.they make everything fresh to order and you only need one small fries for two people. read more

Great food and normally a great atmosphere. However, today there is an older lady, who is missing some of her teeth, walking around attempting to help clean tables off and complaining and chewing out another girl because she doesn't feel the girl is working hard enough. We didn't witness anyone being lazy. However, the fact that this old lady felt it was professional (nobody in management tried to stop her) to loudly complain and chew out others while around and in front of customers made the experiance less than desirable. In fact we were embarrassed for the girl getting chewed out. read more
