Because I am gluten free, I ordered (take out) cheese burger with lettuce. It was a pitiful sight when I opened the box. One wilted piece of lettuce with two beef patties on it. This recently renovated location is now the nicest five guys location in southwest Florida. The staff here is always friendly and the burger are super fresh. Order a little fry if your alone because they stuff the bag with extras. You won't walk away hungry or dissatisfied with your purchase here. Eat one burger and you'll keep coming back! This store has become a joke. Just got a burger with small fries. The burger Meh, the fries uncooked and super gross but they gave me 2 lbs of fries I won't dare eat. Employees are poorly trained or don't give a shit probably both. as I waited for my nasty meal the Only guy behind the counter throws a hotdog in the griddle on top of a bunch of nasty burger crumbles. I said to him " why don't you clean that nasty grill instead of putting that hotdog on that garbage" he moved the hotdog and scraped the grill but ma that's gross. The food is really good, but they need more people or learn how to multitask. The lady that took her order was excellent. But after she took everybody's order, then she had to go back and make fries, even though there were ar least 3 people behind the counter. The person cooking the food would bring it out and set it on foil. But did not know how to wrap it up to keep it warm. Our meal set for four minutes getting cold. Throwing hot fries on top of it does not melt the cheese. I had a cheeseburger, my dad had a hotdog with cheese, and both of them or cold, and was not melted. Sometimes you just want a good burger without the hassle of going to a restaurant or bar to get one. Five Guys fills that craving for me when I have it. I love getting a burger bowl and customize it to my liking with a side of Cajun fries. I usually place my order online on my way home from work and my items are ready in no time! Additionally they don't drop the fries until you walk in the door and let them know you're here. I really appreciate that so I don't get soggy, semi warm fries when I pick up my order. This location is easy to get to with ample parking. The staff is friendly and efficient and the store is extremely clean. My sister and I just went to five guys and the manager was taking orders and I screwed up the milkshake flavor order and didn't know it until I heard my sister order hers. She asked the manager if I could change mine and at first he straight faced said "no, $100 change fee" then said yes. I apologized and said I was a tourist and only came there every couple years. He said "I'm sure there's five guys in the state you live" I said no and he asked where I live, when I said Alaska he says "I'll have to confirm that!" I have a great sense of humor but this was just plain rude. Fortunately for him the burger was good otherwise this rating would have been much lower!! read more

Coming from So Cal, I was never impressed with In N Out. I typically don't even eat fast food hamburgers but my husband has been wanting to try Five Guys so we stopped in for lunch. We both got burgers but I had no idea their regular burger is actually a double, it was SO filling! We got one order of fries but I couldn't even eat one due to being so full from the burger. Next time I'm definitely getting the little one. Anyway, my husband raved about both the fries and the burger. Weird thing to me is this location is in a completely dead strip mall...they're one of the only places open. I don't know why but I just found that odd! read more

As painful as that wait was, the girl at the counter was super friendly when taking my order. I ordered the junior sized classic single with cheese. It took them 15 minutes to make it up. (Open letter) Dear Five Guys- Grandma & grandpa suggested McDONALD'S or Wendy's while visiting your locale on vacation. Tempted at the opportunity to steer to your delicious haven of beef, we suggested we try you. They'd never had. We, citizens of a small Midwestern city much in need of your goodness, seized the moment. We announced the fact that we'd order but one large fries for the group of 4 (plenty). Wife & I proceeded to the regular (double) burger. Keep it simple- grilled onions, mustard & pickles for this guy. You simply cannot beat the beech goodness. Not too salty, beats....i'll say it...even the exotic eats of In N Out!! Ps- smiling gal at the front took righteous care of grandma when she ordered the veggie burger, thinking it a burger w all veggie toppings on it (of course it was sans beef). She ordered after Mrs and me, so we had no opportunity to second guess. We urged her to have them add beef to it (w appropriate $dollar upcharge). But the friendly staff quickly added beef party at no charge and aplogized for confusion. I don't expect customer service at burger hoot, but that's what we got. Top notch. read more

Five Guys is an interesting concept in fast food. You can choose between a "regular" burger or a "Little Burger". The regular is two patties however you order it - normal (just the beef and toppings), bacon, cheese, and a slew of other food ideas. The Little Burger is the one patty version of their burger list. You can put all the toppings you want on them, as an "All The Way" is one list of sides (mayo, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions, pickles, list goes on) and there's the extras that cost a little more (jalepenos, ecc). But those fries! Two sizes - regular and large. The regular can feed 3 people. Maybe four. I don't even want to know how many a large feeds. Nor do I want to know how many potatoes they go through a month. Like a lot of kitschy places, they have boxes of shelled peanuts to munch on while you wait, to eat with your meal, take home. I heard about this chain. They just expanded to California. I came to Fort Myers to move. I was hungry and this was near by my Hotel. I went to see what all the hype was about. I was greeted fantastical by the personnel. Then I saw the prices. I was taken aback. Pretty high for hamburgers and hot dogs. I got one of each and a fry. WOW 14 BUCKs WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much. Place was clean they were fast. Free peanuts. I guess a southern thing. Took me 5 minutes to get to my room. I jumped into the hot dog pretty good just relish and mustard. Relish not very sweet. Then the classic burger. NOT impress. I had it with everything. About as disorganized as they come, line out the door, takes our order and makes our shakes right away. 15 min later sorry we are waiting on fries. Melted Shakes ( for 5$each) are like soup. 3 double fryers and just one basket in the oil. WHAT? When you have A line out the door ALL fryers should be frying! Grill should be full of burgers! Sad management staff doesn't know the 1st thing about efficiency.. so what if you waste a few fries.. or burgers....They have a good product, but poor staff can ruin any business. Five stars for a burger joint. Fast, fresh, and tasty. I rarely crave a burger, but when I do, it's a Five Guys burger. They are juicy and so flavorful. I dress mine with all the fattening items and i don't care - because it's amazing! Bacon, Cheese, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, mayo. The fries are also wonderful. Always fresh, they use a fresh, skin on potato - no frozen spuds. They fry in peanut oil, which makes the perfect fry in my opinion. Add their Cajun seasoning to your fries and your all set! They also offer hot dogs, but I can't stray from their burgers. Vegetarians can get a vegetable sandwich. read more

Every thing was going good the worker named Ryan proceeded to yell out "Vanilla milkshake" after that said that if no one takes it he will drink it and he said it was free so one of my friends took it. 5 minutes later he made us pay for a milkshake he gave away by yelling at us. We live nearby and eat there frequently and often order for carry-out. The burgers and fries are awesome. My wife orders the small burger with lettuce, onion, tomato, mustard and mayo. Recently I have been ordering a large cheeseburger with grilled onions and grilled jalapenos. Wow, it is great. No condiments needed. We share a small order of fries. Gave this place another try. Failed. Slow operation. 20 minutes for a flattened burger and limp fries. Plus, I hate cheese that isn't melted on the burger. The American cheese was barely melted and had that slimy texture. I don't understand their cooking method. The burgers were smashed so thin there wasn't any flavor left and double cook the fries. From the friendly fast service when ordering to the correct order being prepared, the experience was exceptional. We have always wanted to try a 5 guys burger and today we finally did. The burger was great, just like a tasty bar burger of past. The meat was grilled to perfection. The fries were crispy and hot. (The vinegar addition is plus!)
