    Cheeseburger and fries
    Llana A.

Well this is my baby brother's favorite burger place so I stopped by one sunny afternoon to give it a try. This is a solid burger. It reminds me of one you would get at a mom and pop burger stand. The fries were not my favorite. They were pretty limp! I'm not sure what the deal is with dumping them all in the bag either. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean so those are positives. Price wise this was not an inexpensive lunch.

I know burgers. I love well-made burgers and don't mind paying a little extra for one. I will pay a little extra for good service. 3 experiences here, this place needs to spend more time getting the staff up to speed on the burgers and service. Way too pricey for what they provide. The food is okay, but the burger needs a tad more time on a hotter grill to get the proper caramelization to enhance the flavor. The time in a bag awaiting the fry person to dump fries in is too long. Thus, the juicy burger and fixings turn the burger into a gooey wet mess if you have a 3 minute drive home. The flavor is good, but unless eating it in the restaurant, it just doesn't seem to be a good idea to take it to go. The shakes are okay, but I'm not fond of the extra sweetness. The fries are likely really good but not crispy and kind of soft and gooey if taken to go. I do like the ambiance, namely the free peanuts in the shell to pick and eat while the meal is being made. Overall, it was too expensive, too slow, and not good for near by take out.

I was in the mood for a big juicy burger and I remember seeing that this place opened not too long ago so I decided to give it a try. I had a good experience but it seems to me that this restaurant chain is caught between gourmet (with gourmet prices) and a fast food restaurant. It has an identity crisis. I had a regular burger, small fry, and a small soda (actually, a medium soda because they don't have small). The bill was $20 and then with tax and tip it was mid-20s. That is a lot for a fast food place. It was kinda like sticker shock. Everything is a la carte. There are no combo meals. On the positive side, the burger was big and juicy. It was double patties, made to order so it came out hot. The condiments are generous. The burger was juicy and tasty. It was a good burger and ate like gourmet instead of fast food. The fries are pretty good, crispy on outside and tender inside. On the negative side, the meat needed some seasoning. The fries were just thrown haphazardly into the bag. The price is still something I can't get past. I can' believe that I just paid $20 for a fast food burger. The ambience is kinda sterile. They try to be hip with bags of potatoes stacked in the middle of the store (the same gimmick that I saw in Pittsburgh years ago when I tried 5 Guys for the first time. I remember thinking, "don't they have any storage in the back?"). But at the end of the day, the ambience is that of a fast food restaurant. It feels fast food and no amount of gimmicks can cover that up. The service was fine although a bit slow. Because they made my burger to order, it takes a while. There was just one other guy and me who were waiting for our order, so it was about 8-10 minutes. If the restaurant is full or a lot of people come at once, I can see it taking a lot longer. Will I be back? Not sure. $20 is a lot for a burger lunch. The burger was good, but I am not it was that good. In and Out is about 1/3 the price and the quality is about the same.

We tried this location recently and had a great experience. It had been years since we have visited this chain, but we enjoyed our meal. Their regular burgers are double patties. However, the little burger and little bacon cheeseburger were still filling. Our daughter enjoyed the grilled cheese. We also split a regular size fries with Cajun seasoning which had great flavor. They have a Coca Cola freestyle machine which we enjoy. The staff were friendly. They have a couple of high chairs but only 3 tables that are low enough to use them. The other tables are too high. A little pricey ($40) for what we ordered, but that is the new norm I think. We would come back.

Definitely not what I expected. The price for this burger is ridiculous. I decided to stop by and give this location a try but I sure won't be coming back. The service upon taking my order was not even good. They got my order wrong and the size of my meal wrong. If going to pay nearly $20 dollars for a burger it better be a great looking and tasty burger. I was very disappointed at the whole outcome. The place is small for a burger place of this magnitude. Not enough places to sit and enjoy a $20 dollar burger. The ambience is just so loud since the kitchen is just so small as well.

Tried to pick up the burger and this is what happened. Had to use a knife and fork to eat it. Was not impressed. Wasn't worth the cost.

Ordered a bacon burger all the way. Couldn't eat it as a burger. It was way too messy. They don't have plates so it was awkward cutting the burger to eat it. Was not that great of a burger. Will not go back.

Because of that, I think it's only fair to highlight how much things have improved since then. I'm happy to report that my recent visit was significantly better, and nearly every criticism I had back then has been addressed. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Das Brat, loaded with bratwurst, caramelized onions, sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard, and garlic aioli. My family ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, and the Ringer burger. Every single meal was excellent. The flavors were bold, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was prepared perfectly. A special mention goes to the Pretzel Bites. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich cheese sauce and mustard aioli. They made a great starter and disappeared quickly from the table. The service was also excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a great job despite clearly wearing multiple hats throughout the restaurant. I definitely appreciated the effort. And for beer lovers, Dog Haus offers beer in 1-liter pours. Naturally, I had to take advantage of that. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was awesome, and the entire experience was a dramatic improvement from my first visit years ago. I'm genuinely pleased to see how much Dog Haus Biergarten has improved and am happy to update my review accordingly.

I ordered a burger and fries got home had a handful of ketchup and exactly 3 individual fries. This is not the first time this location punted. It's getting old, really old. I really enjoyed the beef sandwich and I always get it baptize. I like to order extra dipping sauce with it so I can just drown it haha. My favorite are the hot dogs, which is what they are know for. I love the chicago style dogs and I love adding ketchup and mustard to my hot dogs. For the side I really enjoy getting a side of cheese and dipping my fries into it, thank me later. The onion rings are also worth a mention, they are well made, crispy and full of flavor. I also had their shakes before and they were pretty good. I once had their chocolate cake and it was very rich in flavor and not dry at all like other cakes. I always eat in the diner because I love how they have decorated the space. It reflects the history of the city of Arlington. It is a mix of car decor honoring the GM plant and part of the decor is also bowling, to honor the national bowling museum and headquarters located in arlington. I love how its so big and spacious. They also sell beer but I never purchase any but thats a cool concept. The staff keeps the place nice and clean, i love how they say your order number and make it rhyme with something. Example 'order #9 is time to dine"
