The frozen custards in various flavors and styles are definitely the highlight and what makes Freddy's unique! Retro interiors with plenty of seating. Very quick service, though the restaurant was fairly empty on a Wednesday evening.

This location has been consistently great for us on Saturdays during late spring/early summer after our hike and one cannot beat a free soft serve or four. I usually either get a sandwich and soup combo, or a salad bar w a soup added. We also love their giant baked potatoes! Our fav is the whole muffuletta and a salad bar to share. We also love the gumbo, the chicken and wild rice, the chicken noodle and the broccoli and cheese soups. They also really helped us get through during the egg shortage and we were able to get our egg fix with the salad bar. Staff are friendly, dining room can be a little bit delayed in clean up if they are super busy but this is one of the free fast casual restaurants that doesn't require you to bust your own table, so be patient with them especially with staffing shortage. We love Jason's Deli!

I gave it a go with some Pesto Cavatappi - corkscrew pasta with chicken, basil pesto cream sauce, garlic, tomato and parmesan (minus the mushrooms). There really wasn't a whole lot of flavor to speak of. It also wasn't very hot, hence why the cheese barely melted. Everything kind of blended together into one bland mixture. I actually enjoyed the salad most, which was just some mixed greens, a few croutons, and some dressing. Maybe other dishes are better, but won't be coming back soon unless in a pinch and need a quick lunch.

Today, my side-salad looked questionable and good thing, I checked my order because salad dressing (light balsamic vinaigrette) was missing. In the past, my husband and daughter do not check food and usually, one of us, has to figure out something else or don't have meal to eat. We are tired, don't want to go back and at times, we'd end up, waiting a long time on side and/or try calling, without any remedy. They don't care after you have left premises, unless you decide to come back.

I'm very confused as to why the rating of this place is so low. I've been here a couple of times…read morenow and every time that you i've come the staff are incredibly hospitable and do a good job of keeping the place clean. My go to here is the mixed plate fajitas which are flavored to perfection and come out on a sizzling hot plate. The margaritas i get are also so full of flavor and pack a strong punch to say the least. As a YELP member and user for years, sometimes you have to take these scores with a grain of salt. I'm not sure how this place ranked so low but i've never had a bad meal here and i stand by that.

I'm writing this because I've had multiple uncomfortable experiences at this location, which is…read moredisappointing because I genuinely enjoy Sonic's food and drinks. Most recently, when we were placing our order, the employee taking it (I believe her name was Lavish or something similar) was very rude. After we ordered the first item, the screen wasn't matching what we were saying, so we paused to make sure the order was correct. Instead of helping clarify, she told us with an attitude that we didn't need to stop and to just keep going. We were only trying to ensure the order was accurate. She also refused to make a blended Red Bull/slush even though it's something Sonic offers. After receiving our food, we went inside to ask for napkins and ketchup. A very kind employee immediately started helping me, but the same woman came over repeatedly asking if she could help, even after I explained I was already being helped. While we were eating outside, she continued staring at us through the window, which made the situation feel very uncomfortable. This also wasn't my first unusual interaction at this location. On a previous visit over the weekend during drive-up service, the employee handed us our food without responding when we greeted her--she just smiled awkwardly and said nothing. Again, the disappointing part is that I really enjoy the food and drinks here, but experiences like these make it difficult to want to return.
