Drink & Peanuts

Five Guys is one of those places you hear about from EVERYONE. All I heard was how awesome it was for what seemed like forever. Everyday on the way home from work it taunted me when I passed it to come on in and try it. So today, before catching a flick with my hubby, we stopped in for a couple burgers and some fries. I like that the menu is short and sweet (or savory in this case). And the fact that they have big boxes of in the shell peanuts for you to snack on while you are waiting on your order is a nice touch. It is counter service and the seating area reflects that - tables and chairs with a refill station and condiment station - well ketchup. When they call your number you go and pick up a big brown bag with grease soaking through it. I am not complaining :) I like a greasy burger! So I am ready to be impressed. We opened the bag to see a bag FULL of fries. We got 2 orders of reg. fries (which is a little cup), but they fill the bag with fries. Seriously. Tons!! The burgers are wrapped up in foil and when you open them up you are greeted with a two patties of meat, 2 slices of cheese, whatever toppings you chose (jalapenos, onions, tomato in my case) and a white bun. I couldn't wait for the first bite, and after sinking my teeth - eh, good. Not great, not the best, but a solid burger. The fries were next - these are probably the best part. Fresh cut fries with just a bit of salt. Simple, salty, beauty. For the convenience and value, Five Guys is a solid deal. I suppose it was just built up too big to meet my overblown expectations. Still I plan to go back and try it again. I can hear those fries calling my name!

Bacon (double) cheeseburger with mushrooms

Best burger I've had in Denver so far! As long as you remember that you are in a BURGER JOINT, theirs are pretty tasty. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which is actually a double. They cook it to order, so it might take a little while to get your grub, depending on how long the line is. The fresh cut fries are pretty good - huge portions! Tasty! The have a long list of free toppings, including grilled mushrooms! Most places would either have some sort of shroom burger or charge extra for that. Kudos for the toppings! I got the grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and mayo. The toppings were falling off when I opened the foil wrapped handful of cheesy, bacon-ey goodness. Tasty! Not quite In 'n Out, but did I mention - Tasty!

Their burgers are awesome, the fries are the best and it is a fun place. You can count on a good lunch for a reasonable price.

I quit going. Who knows if they are open or not. They don't seem commuted to running a business.

A single (junior) cheeseburger is like $4 and the fries are less than $3 and it serves 2-3, can't be that!

First, this is a small business that looks like it's owned and run by one man. Given that, you have to understand that it takes a minute to handle the multiple customers that seem to love this place! Even though there was a line and it was obvious we would be waiting, the wait wasn't terribly long (~15min). After the person got caught up and started getting orders out, he even offered compensation to those that were waiting so long, which was absolutely not necessary, but appreciated and showed he cared about our business. The guy that was taking a preparing orders definitely had his shit together! He had a specific method of ensuring every order went out perfectly, and if he noticed it wasn't, in the trash it would go, and he would make a new dog, instead of serving something substandard. Watching him work was actually part of our experience because he was quick, and it was like watching a machine. The food was definitely good. There are lot's of unique choices for your dog, including no dog choices! Prices are a little steep for a dog on a stick, but I get it, he's a one man show. I don't normally say this, but even with a higher price, I would and will go back.

Hooray Korean hot dog shops…read more Myungrang is a spot that is small in size but big on flavor and provides excellent customer service. The employee who took my order was polite and answered all of my questions. I ordered two dogs. One was the hot Cheeto dog half cheese half hot dog. It is covered in hot Cheetos and fried to perfection. As I hadn't had a Korean hot dog in months I forgot how big they are. One is very filling I also tried the potato dog half cheese half hot dog monster style. This means it's covered in melted nacho cheese and jalapeños. It was also good but almost too much. One thing I hadn't known about is sugar rolled. I'll have to try that again on my next visit. They offer a squid ink option and some other variations. Small parking lot shared by other businesses in the strip mall. Kudos on a yummy hot dog!

It's located in Golden, Colorado, right across the street from the world-famous Coors Brewery, so the setting is already pretty cool and scenic. Bob's Atomic Burgers has a great neighborhood-joint feel: small, cozy, clean, and eclectic, with interesting stuff on the walls and a fun local vibe. When we walked in, there was a table near the door with order sleeves and paper forms where you build your burger by choosing the meat, bun, cheese, free toppings, and extra toppings. They have a really good selection. I went with a single beef patty on a white bun with American cheese, pickles, raw jalapeños, tomatoes, green chiles, banana peppers, and a large fry. We turned in our order sleeves at the counter and ordered fountain drinks. When we mentioned it was our first visit, the staff gave us a very warm welcome. The young lady behind the counter explained a little about the place and how the ordering process worked, which was much appreciated. The burgers are made to order, so we waited about 10-15 minutes. Honestly, that worked out perfectly because indoor seating is limited, and during the wait we were able to grab a table. They also have outdoor seating, though it was raining when we visited. When the burgers came out, they looked amazing. I'd describe them as a cross between a smash burger and a traditional patty, and I really liked that. My burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and messy in the best possible way. The large fries came in the usual paper sleeve, but it was absolutely overflowing, and the fries were hot, fresh, cooked to order, and excellent. This was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Great food, friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and a local feel that big chains just can't touch. Skip the lame McDonald's or Burger King run and go somewhere that makes an actual great burger. Bob's Atomic Burgers is absolutely worth the visit.

We ordered the daily special burger, a regular burger, onion rings and a kids lettuce wrapped burger. My daughter has a dairy allergy and good thing the lady at the counter checked the ingredients of the bun because it contains milk. It's a small and funky little spot serving solid food.
