This bookstore has great variety between old and new books. They have such a good selection of…read morebooks. They had the whole series that I was looking for. The owner checked us out. She was so nice and let me get two bookmarks for free because I bought so many books! The books that are not second hand are a little more expensive, but that's understandable. She said chewing gum normally helps her when she has a tickle in her throat; now that's what I call customer service and Cyndi seems to go above and beyond by how neat and organized her shop is and how kind she is towards everyone that walked in while we were there. If you are not near this splendid shop, do yourself a favor and hoo into the car and head over to browse the great selection from an honest-to-goodness small independent business. You'll find something good for yourself and your family and above all, you'll receive superb first-class service and attention from Cyndi in her lovely, cozy and inviting little book store. Good Books in the Woods in a used bookstore in a house in The Woodlands. Watch your step as you explore because several time I stepped off a small step too hard because I was looking around in awe and not watching where I was walking. I recently stopped by here with my boys after having some services done at the salons next door and am SO glad we decided to pop in! From the moment you open the door - the smell of comics (and even my own childhood!) consume you. There is SO much to see and look for - it's easy to spend the whole day inside and potentially go broke. My kids gravitated right to the youth section, which was aptly positioned right near the entrance (I say aptly, because once you venture in a bit more, you do have to pass by the more "adult" side of the comic world), and immediately found a few new additions to their at-home library! As if that wasn't enough to reel one in, they even sat down to indulge in a few chess moves. ;) Of course, finding all the nostalgia and collectibles further toward the back of the store was icing on the cake. There were several aisles of toys and figures - pop culture and more! - should that tickle your comic book-loving fancy. Just don't say I didn't warn you! I love that the staff welcomed the kids and engaged with them. The two young(er) folks working that day were super knowledgeable and well-versed in the comic book world and I am here for it. They took time to share all about the store, the programs and clubs of times past - here's to hoping they come back!! - and offered a much needed welcome to the comic book kids of today in this area. If I'm being honest, it made for a great first-time visitor experience. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by and for the life of me, am still scratching my head to understand why we've not stopped in sooner! There's so few stores of this magnitude on this side of town - and it's worth it. Definitely a go-to on my list of my kids' favorite spots...
