I did find a lot of stuff way over priced for a junk store. I would think that this is a store that should be selling these products for a lot less. I did find a couple good deals & enjoyed looking at some of the stuff that they had. I don't like how they have a lot of beauty health items in the boxes that they were delivered in vs out on the shelves to be able to see them better. Their hair products are way over priced & I also found a few items with no prices on them. What else was very disappointing was to find Easter, V-day & Christmas items in here selling @ full price. No discounts for being past the holidays? I saw some decorate X-mas cookies but they expire in 09/2026. Like why sell this at full price? It won't be good in Dec. 2026. They have a table with shoes on it all over the place so you actually have to pick them up to see what size they were. Lots of dog & cat stuff but way over priced. There are no shopping carts inside the store & I had to ask a customer who had one outside where they were located. They have them outside kinda hidden & very few of them available. The store is very crowded with lots of stuff/junk. John our cashier was exceptional! He was very patient in checking prices on a couple of items that had no price tags on it. It seemed that everyone else wanted to check out when my Mom & I were there so he had to call for backup which came right away. This definitely isn't a store that I would visit when I'm in town on each trip but maybe once a year.

I did come by here the other day to drop off some donations. The drop off location was easy to find thanks to their signs & an employee came out right away who was nice. They didn't have any bins as they were all full but he was nice enough to help grab some of my bags. He did ask me if I was donating clothes (which I wasn't) & had told me that they had a lot of them & it seemed like they probably didn't want anymore but the lady behind me was donating clothes & he took them. I didn't have time to go inside so maybe on another trip as I do have some more stuff to donate there.

There are definitely more women's clothes than men's clothes, which I feel like is somewhat typical for thrift stores. From what I've seen, the clothes are generally in order, and organized by color. I am a younger person and since Portsmouth tends to have more older people, the clothes at goodwill tend to reflect that. You're unlikely to find "going out" clothes here if you're trying to put together an outfit to go to the club, but they do have a nice selection of work clothes. So just keep your expectations reasonable when going in, since the area isn't a college town and will have more clothes that older people have donated. The best part of this store is that it has dressing rooms - may seem like a given but surprisingly rare for goodwill stores in the area in my experience! You do have to push a button to get them unlocked, but the employees are always very prompt to come over and get you a room. I'm seeing some complaints in other reviews about pricing at this location. To be honest, I've never had an issue with the prices seeming unfair when buying clothes here. I have not bought other items, but the clothing prices seem reasonable to me.
