In fact, the closing bell will ring on Monday January 27, when the doors will be locked for good. It's always a sad thing to see something we've been so familiar with for such a long time go away. We visited yesterday and the store is half emptied of stock and many of their fixtures and display cases were marked "sold". We saw some very deep discounts of up to 50-80% off on greeting cards, gift wrap, clothing, stuffed animals, home decor, ornaments and collectibles. We picked up a few sympathy cards reduced from $2 to $0.50 and a very nice Hallmark Pumpkin and Brown Butter candle reduced from $19.99 to $5. They have a pretty good deal on random greeting cards and envelopes at ten for a buck. So, if you want to go and check out the few remaining bones at the store, now's your chance. But be warned, you have just six days left to do so.

Near the cash registers they have a nice selection of merch for the shop (sadly, no River Bend Bookshop Magnet) and a cool section dedicated to local authors and stuff like that. Overall, River Bend Bookshop is a super nice little book shop for the area and definitely a place worth checking out.
