Anyway, I drove by today, as I do almost everyday and noticed that they plan to add a farmers market! Gullifty's is still there and the management is looking for more stores to occupy the place. I suggest a planet fitness, another apple store, candy store, and maybe a daycare place. Right now, it's not really rate- able, but I guess it's worth 2 stars mainly because its an empty ghost town, but not for long!! I miss the old borders though... I used to love studying there. It was so peaceful and there were so many things to look at. Maybe a coffee shop might work?

Joining them now is barre 3 fitness studio (need to try this asap!) and downstairs, my new favorite market: MOM's. Their store has it all: organic produce and meats, allergen-free options for everything from cheese and crackers to ice cream to healthy children's snacks and juices, and a HUGE selection of skincare products and vitamin supplements. They also offer free water to stay hydrated while you peruse their wide aisles or wait for your order from their Naked Lunch bar. I highly recommend the black bean burger....their juice bar is fantastic, also. Shopping here is truly eye-opening. And speaking of opening, I was excited to see the progress being made for the opening of the farmer's market. With vendors such as LeBus and Margaret Kuo's and Bella Olivia, among others, I am very eager for this part of the newly-renovated center to open. My routine stops to Rosemont Square for the pharmacy and the nail salon just got much more exciting!

Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift certainly fits the bill. The first floor of the store is all household goods and furniture. We marveled at the very low cost of the china cabinets, and my daughter lamented that the store isn't located in Chicago where she is trying to furnish an apartment. The second floor is all clothing. Even though they have labels for children and men's clothing, about 80% is for women. The clothing is quite well-organized by size and type, so it's easy to home in on specific styles. The clothes are clean - the shirts that I purchased seemed to have been professionally laundered and pressed. There were some high-end designer labels in the mix, but they weren't priced any differently from other clothes in the same category. I came away with two dress shirts and two ties for $11; in all we spent just $23 for a fair number of very nice items. Staff here isn't terribly friendly but not rude either. All in all this is an excellent store with lots of choices and outstanding prices.

She was really so kind and let me know I could leave it there and go shop. They were running 50% off of colored tags the day I went. I didn't find any in the tag colors, but I did find 2 pairs of flats for $19, which isn't bad at all. They also had a fill a bag sale outside with 50 cent items. The clothing upstairs was abundant and ranged in sizes. I also saw some Anthropologie brands, some designer, and some higher end clothing for fairly decent prices. Anthro clothing for $10 is pretty good. Hopefully the next time I won't be all sweaty and carrying a baby and linger longer. There is a little lot in the front, but I found parking behind the business was easy enough and cheap (50 cents covered it).

Their shelves are filled with books that nurture empathy, critical thinking, and curiosity -- plus a fantastic children's section that helps young readers see the world with wonder and compassion. Lately, I've noticed how hard it can be for small, independent shops that simply try to spark meaningful conversations through books. It's disheartening to see thoughtful places like this get caught up in other people's noise. It's also frustrating to see independent shops like this one get unfairly targeted by people more interested in outrage than understanding. Mavey is exactly the kind of space our communities need -- thoughtful, welcoming, and unafraid to encourage reflection. For this it should be celebrated. It's also a reminder of why independent bookstores matter more than ever in this moment.

Nestled in a row of historic buildings & shops, this tiny little bookstore manages to have a vast variety of books while at the same time being carefully curated. Things are mostly grouped by type, though there's also a delightful jumble, books you wouldn't expect to be side-by-side on a shelf, yet they work. The owner is delightful, happy to chat and also perfectly comfortable with silent exploration. The various recommendations are written by hand, posted right by the book on the shelf. It's an easy walk from the Ardmore train & bus. Parallel metered parking on street and a large municipal garage around the corner. Their pricing is fair, not a race-to-the bottom, also not extravagantly overpriced. You can pay slightly less to a vast conglomerate whose executives take joyrides to space while driving their s workers to exhaustion. Or you can come to this place that loves books and the people that read them. I choose the latter. I hope you do too.

Donna took one look at my face and said, "I have the perfect dress for you." I'm between 12-14 and am working through some insecurities, so when she said that, I said "yeah, right." Donna told me I deserved to feel delicious in my dress, so I tried it on. My God. I looked and felt like a mermaid Goddess. The dress is a beautiful mermaid/trumpet style gown that hugged my curves in all the right places (I'll update with pictures soon!). It was affordable and very well-made. Normally, I would've walked right by it. Thank God I listened to Donna's advice. She is honest, smart, so so stylish, and she sees and celebrates the beauty of everyone who walks into her boutique. I felt like Cinderella and Donna was the fairy godmother (the Brandy/Whitney Houston version with the sassy and fabulous Godmother!). I could go on about our wonderful, h uplifting conversation, but I'll end my review with this: Stop in and say hi. See what's there. I guarantee you will leave feeling "delicious!"

Everything adds up quickly and I've spent 200 bucks on a frame\glass\matting before. Probably why I don't have too much experience! I have a concert poster from Dead and Company that is very dear to me, it was a great night celebrating my birthday with some good friends. Had another one from the Black Keys this year that also deserved framing. So I stopped into the Framers Market Gallery which happens to be right around the corner from me to get some ideas of what it would cost...I am SOOO happy I did! Aileen(sp?) was working the counter and she is good at her job! So glad I went with her recommendations! The Black Keys one she figured out quickly and I'm very happy with it! She looked longer at the Dead and Co poster and ran a couple ideas past me...I'd never have thought this, but she suggested I use 2 frames!?! A blue one on the inside, to pickup the blue from the poster, and a black one outside, which would match my other artwork. I wasn't sure how it would look when done, but liked the idea, and it was actually cheaper with 2 frames than using matting... Think it took about 2 weeks and I was so happy with them both! The Dead and Co poster just blows me away, I love it! It was also cheaper than my previous framing experiences, so double the recommendation! Thank you Aileen, I'll be back with more!
