    Artificial lawn - VN

A lunch with family brought us to Suburban Square, a collection of shops and restaurants spread out like a small town and very pedestrian-friendly. I was quite surprised to learn that the Square opened in 1931 as it looks completely brand new with not even a hint of the past. A new building was completed though was still waiting to be filled. The mall is nicely landscaped, complete with an artificial lawn area adorned with backyard chairs and bean bag toss games. Umbrella-covered sofas and tables peppered the sidewalks, providing shade from the July heatwave that was occurring. Parking is spread out along city-like streets, small lots and multi-level parking garage. Most are free but I did see some with meters. We had lunch at Not Your Average Joe's (reviewed separately). There aren't any department stores, just small businesses, medical offices, a handful of national & worldwide brands, eateries and a farmer's market. I didn't see any directory signs which would've been helpful at the time, but after further research... HIGHLIGHTS: Ann Taylor Apple Store Kate Spade Sephora Trader Joe's Urban Outfitters West Elm OVERALL: The old town square reimagined.

Quickly becoming the hangout hot spot. For good reason. Numerous restaurant selections, and a courtyard with entertainment many nights. Great place for a Friday night happy hour

I will return here any day of the week to get fresh fish and side dishes or cookies. I love this indoor market place. There's a florist inside with the freshest of fresh flowers. It's a visibly hidden jewel in Ardmore (excluding the residents of the city of course) since it's next to Trader Joe's. There's a window view near the rear with two chairs and a table that's slightly intimate where you can enjoy a meal. Oh my goodness the cheese selections are plentiful. On any given day there are people browsing and shopping with ease except on the weekend. It's walking distance to the Apple Store, etc so you could shop for an outfit , get groceries and have a snack too I come for the fresh salmon which cost on average $20lb. It's pricey but it's fresh. The people behind the counters are friendly too so come by I'm certain you'll leave happier than you arrived!!!

Anyway, I drove by today, as I do almost everyday and noticed that they plan to add a farmers market! Gullifty's is still there and the management is looking for more stores to occupy the place. I suggest a planet fitness, another apple store, candy store, and maybe a daycare place. Right now, it's not really rate- able, but I guess it's worth 2 stars mainly because its an empty ghost town, but not for long!! I miss the old borders though... I used to love studying there. It was so peaceful and there were so many things to look at. Maybe a coffee shop might work?

Joining them now is barre 3 fitness studio (need to try this asap!) and downstairs, my new favorite market: MOM's. Their store has it all: organic produce and meats, allergen-free options for everything from cheese and crackers to ice cream to healthy children's snacks and juices, and a HUGE selection of skincare products and vitamin supplements. They also offer free water to stay hydrated while you peruse their wide aisles or wait for your order from their Naked Lunch bar. I highly recommend the black bean burger....their juice bar is fantastic, also. Shopping here is truly eye-opening. And speaking of opening, I was excited to see the progress being made for the opening of the farmer's market. With vendors such as LeBus and Margaret Kuo's and Bella Olivia, among others, I am very eager for this part of the newly-renovated center to open. My routine stops to Rosemont Square for the pharmacy and the nail salon just got much more exciting!

Parking is a bit scarce, but there's street parking available and turnover is high. Happy to have La Colombe here as there are few good coffee choices around (just Gryphon, really). Looking forward to trying Turning Point eventually, but it's always so crowded. Still spaces available and hope management can attract some other nice stores/restaurants as this area has been pretty underserved recently. Also anticipating opening of Bryn+Danes. The manager of this company offered no assistance to me. One week later my $210 towing bill has not been resolved. Karen at Relative who views cameras all day to watch people parking in lot says I walked out of the Side lot instead of the Front lot so she ASSUMED I was not patronizing one of their businesses. The parking lot management nor owner of Waxpress still have not reimbursed me not only for towing but the stress of this incident. If this lot has 2 entrances they should not ASSUME where people are going once they park in their lot regardless of which direction they walk!

While visiting the lunch preview at honeygrow Wynnewood, I stopped by this Target location to pick up a few things. This is a smaller sized Target and has a Starbucks inside. I needed some health and beauty items and was disappointed to see that many items were out of stock and the aisles were left in disarray. I was able to get about half of the items on my list. The self checkout section had a few checkouts that were out of service. I was happy to see that each checkout was being cleaned frequently while I was there. The staff is ok, some are nice, some act like they don't want to be here or do their job. That's normal with any place though, management is ok as well, the people aren't my problem... These lock cabinets are the absolute worst, it makes me not even want to shop at target. Why do I need to call an attendant for deodorant or laundry detergent ? That's ridiculous & not to mention nobody moves with any kind of speed so if u want deodorant expect to wait 10-15 mins just for the to come open the case. Very much not worth it at all, I'd rather take the 25 min drive to Walmart because at least I can be in and out min a few mins, not stand around looking dumb waiting for some mystery key person to come open the lock for a basic necessity & Walmart cost less! Why overpay for more hassle. That doesn't make sense. Deodorant is not a PS5 or the brand new iPhone...it doesn't need a lock case.

This job required blue jeans, an article of clothing he previously shunned. I knew we'd need a variety of sizes and cuts for him to figure out what was most comfortable. So off we go to Old Navy, me happily and him looking like he was in the Bataan Death March. He's not a clothes shopper. As expected, they had their Wall Of Jeans, grouped by cut. We got there early, just after opening. What was surprising and disappointing was the disarray on the shelves. Jeans heaped in piles. Sizes all over the place. Sizes plain old missing. If looked like the end of a busy day, not the start. I plowed through, sending Sir Grumpy off to try on different cuts and measurements. Fairly...almost too quickly- he deemed a pair or two "perfect". Fine. I then browsed for some shorts for me, found a few great pairs. Done. This particular location is cavernous, as it was a Penn Fruit grocery store in a previous life. It's decent laid out and well lit. The staff were fine. Where it fell short though was in the disarray- either poor restocks no management, or none. Given that the big is an odd size tight now I likely will be going elsewhere in the future, where the stocking is better and the size availability is complete.
