Their cocktails are good but pretty pricey also the fees for pool tables are pretty high but the worst is not only it's way over crowded and there's approximately 1h30 to wait to have access to a table but also the fact that they at 1st let us enter so while waiting we went at A&W next door but when we came back they said to my friend sorry you can't enter you're properly clothed for this bar but 15 min ago we entered without any problem and the doorman was also pretty arrogant read more

OK, I *really* wish I'd discovered this place sooner! My advice? Go early. I went on a Friday evening around 6:30 or so and the crowd was still fairly thin, so we had our pick of pool tables. There were a few TGIFers around, but other than that, we owned the place! The space is large, open, comfortable and loungey - I loved the leather couches everywhere by the tables, and the ambiance was great. There are plenty of different sections in the interior, from the cocktail tables at the front, to the high bench beer tables poolside, to the little restaurant area at the back. Nice selection of yummy pub fare, like grilled cheeses and burgers, as well as wings and nachos - and these are high end, as far as pub fare goes - no limp, greasy nothin' going on here! A small but good beer selection as well - I always go for the IPA, if I'm in a beer mood. You pay a $20 deposit when you check in, and your pool tab comes out of it when you leave - no fuss. It's just over $8/hr for as much pool as you can handle. If you're into foosball, they've got tables for you, back in the dork corner (just kidding). PS - Yes, I kicked ass at pool that night. I enjoy going to this bar. Mainly because of pool tables. Although I have no skill at the game, give me a few pints and I'm a " champion ". Honestly, the food isn't great and the serving staff can improve on efficiency and hospitality. The drinks are fine and they don't have much choice when it comes to beer. It's a great place to gather everyone as there is enough space and divertissement. Plus, big plus here, it's right in front of the Mont-Royal metro. This is an important detail that will make it easier to drag out those of you who don't like to travel too much in the city. read more

Don't be fooled by the stairs when you walk in it gets better! It's a cool place to grab a drink or play pool. They have a nice lounge area with couches in the back which is great for a group. They also have tables and chairs where you can sit down and grab a bite. Come early because it gets quite busy around 10:00. Tip: if you like Poutine, they make a good one and the fries are crispy :-) read more

Visited this place to have a relax game of pool for a while. It's surprisingly big ! And the tables and pool cues are in good condition. Decent price as well per hour. They also have a surprisingly diverse menu, including some finger food like chicken wings, nachos, and also some different things like dumplings, and a whole variety of other goods. They also have some pretty decent Fitzroy, I enjoyed the blonde ! It's definitely a relax and chill place to hang out. Good music, too! read more

Second floor of a building, it is big and accommodates a large number of people. It did not serve the purpose of our gathering though. After 10 lights are out and very loud music is on. We could barely hear each other. If you come to dance and drink till dawn it is the place. When we were leaving at about midnight there was a long line of boys and girls awaiting entrance. The beer was ok and my girl loved her drink (betty rose?!!) it was good (i had a sip!) i would give 3.5 stars not 4 anyway. The beers (pint) are btw 5 and 6 dollars, cocktails priced around 10. There is also a pool hall but again a 1.5 hour lineup! read more

Nice cozy athmosphere. Pool tables are in good condition und the price is affordable. If you're looking for something cheap, get there early. Pool prices are less before 8 and even cheaper before 6 pm. The staff was very helpful and obviously knows his stuff. We got our drinks super quick and they were great although a little pricey. I was reminded that the tip is not included but I guess that's just a thing in Montreal. (Also he was right I kinda forgot about it). Only downside: it's a little crowded and a little pricey for the drinks. And they don't remind you if your hour at the pool table is over. So if you miss it, you pay more. Over all a cozy chill place to spend a Saturday night and spend all your money on drinks. read more

I went to Fitzroy with my boyfriend on a Tuesday night and we had a great time! It wasn't crowded at all so we got a pool table right away. There were no waiters going around and we knew we would stay for an hour or two, so we ended up not getting drinks nor food. The music was fun, and it's nice that you can also play foosball, arcade games, basketball or even slot machines. There are plenty of seating areas which I appreciate. We weren't aware that it was cheaper on Tuesday so that was a great surprise! Now we know when to go for a nice evening! read more

VERY bad experience. We had two English friends over on a group of 15, and we regret them getting such a bad idea of nightlife in Montreal. We came for dinner, the "food" (very basic food, and not tasteful at all) arrived separated, in 3 different waves (15 minutes in between). Service was HORRIBLE, we had just ordered a pitcher and some cocktails, and the waitress (very condescendant) arrived to make us pay, she didn't even advise us. It was 10pm! Afterwards with another waitress, one of our friend got some problem with the card machine, and didn't manage to give some tip. He didn't even have time to explain himself that she started to tell EVERYONE loudly that someone should give her money for the tip he hasn't paid. In ANY ways, do not go to this place, there are plenty of great bars in Montréal and this is not one. read more

After attending the trendy Fitzroy that seemed to be THE place to go, I was incredibly disappointed. The actual decor meets upscale and comfy quite flawlessly however, the actual environment is almost intolerable. Upon walking in, it seemed every available table was reserved for hours- with no one claiming the reservation. The staff is condescending. On top of that, most of the bartenders have no knowledge on making a tasty cocktail (or even the difference between gin and rum). Finally, the system for reserving pool tables is actually a disgrace. It took two hours. Two hours to play pool at a billiard house. The only thing that saved the day for me, that one Saturday night, was the awesome bar in the back, tended by a nice fellow names Andrew. He single handedly sparked my Mojito obsession! It's unfortunate he's a full time staff. Sorry Fitzroy, you suck. read more

It was better with boule noire. Service sucks, girl at the entrance is more interested with her phone than serving you, it takes forever. If you're trying to go here after 10 pm on a weekend evening you're likely to fine a line at the door or at least minimal to no place to sit. Arrived at about 10 pm only to find out it was a 1.5 hr wait for a pool table but we managed to get a small table around 10:30/10:40 for our group of 6. It's an amazing bar, spacious and with good music but it's crowded and service is rather slow. You also need to have cash for a deposit for a pool table and cash for drinks unless you're hitting their $30 minimum. The place was incredibly loud and difficult for us to stay in. It took 2.5 hrs before we got a message saying we were up for a pool table but we had already left to find a quieter space. To summarize, if you want to play a couple of rounds of pool with friends, go early and grab a pitcher of beer but if not you're in for a long evening of waiting, including some solid wait periods at the bars. read more

What was great: Fun space, comfy couches, great for big groups. Foosball and pool were both a good time! What wasn't: Front of house staff were rude, tbh. Completely ignored us when we first walked in, but we figured it out and sat down. Tried to put our name down for pool, told the girl behind the counter that we didn't have a local number (used to live in Montreal, visiting old friends), and got a look and a "you don't have a French number?" in return. She refused to take a number down, so we mentioned where we were sitting, got a pitcher and played foosball. Then spent the next hour or so going back to check in on our table because a) it was Sunday afternoon and not busy, so we expected it to move a bit faster, b) the girl gave us such attitude we honestly expected to get skipped in line. We were told one price when we put our name down, told another price when we finally got a table, and then told ANOTHER price when we went to settle up. It wasn't expensive, but was kind of a weird experience. Lastly, there's only a unisex bathroom, which I'm usually all about... except there are urinals against one wall and I'm not into accidentally seeing a dude's undercarriage (Montreal has no shortage of sketch men willing to fulfill that wish, if that's your thing). Really great place with pool table. Mostly young crowd. Waiters/waitresses seem overwhelmed and you will need to run after them to take your order. Downside to the place, they don't tell you that you can't use debit or credit if your order is under $30. read more

I really want to like this place, but I keep getting disappointed by it. Pretty terrible service overall. Showed up around 10:00 and asked for a pool table. Estimate was about 1h so we sat down and ordered some drinks..(not cheap).. 11:30 rolls around, and I ask the pool table assistant how long until our table is ready.. 30 more minutes minimum... really!!???!? At 12:10, we finally get a table, no clear indication where the table is though.. Once we find it, it's completely surrounded by people, impossible to play a game of pool. No one is willing to move, and the staff are useless.. we try for 30 some minutes to enjoy a game, but the effort is lost. After about 30 minutes of play, we call it quits and leave. No sympathy from the staff.. What a waste. 8$ worth of pool and no fun had. I really wish this place would get their shit together, the potential is there...... read more

The bouncers are absolute trash here. They tell people to stay in line for an hour and a half yet it's empty inside. Plus they're just rude & give no shits. The atmosphere & music is great, so are the drinks. But seriously the service is terrible. read more

Expensive drinks. Ordered one martini and one chivas on rocks. Martini had zero alcohol (which i didnt ask). Total of $26. Barmaid cant accept interac payments for less than 30$. She made an exception tho. Went back after couple of minutes to grab 2 beers for 18$, she refused to let me pay debit. I had a 20$ bill on me. She took and didnt give me my change. A good bar with a lot of space, lots to do and interesting decor. A few downsides, however: it can sometimes have an odd smell (like a dirty sink) and the bar sometimes shakes when there is dance class on the floor above, drinks are a bit overpriced, and poor customer service experienced when trying to reserve a table for a birthday party read more

Came here on a Saturday night about 12am and there was a line of over 100people outside. We waited for about 45 minutes and the bouncer said the lounge was at over capacity. Went to this bar to play pool with friends. We were waiting for another to show up before playing. Ordered a beer, and the server took our orders. I paid cash and tipped 10%. I'm a student and I was planning to be there all night, so I thought it was fine. The server disagreed and was insanely aggressive and was up in my face saying "you don't like my service?!". I told him it was 10%... He left and then came back like 10 minutes later and demanded a better tip again. This was a really big guy and at this point I was near tears so I just gave him a dollar and left as fast as I possibly could, taking all my friends with me. read more

Would have liked this place if not for the horrible customer service. Came here for a friends Birthday Went outside for air and was denied entry back in even though I had a stamp from this establishment on my wrist. The bouncer looked at my stamp and accused me of lying and faking it. I offered proof (photos of me on the establishment with time stamps and a friend bringing my jacket out with my wallet with my ID in it) Even though I have spent lots of money that night on bottle service I was not allowed to re enter. read more
