I had one night stay with a king bed, located on the second floor. There are both a cafe and an Irish Pub all connected to the hotel. The room size is fairly small but it's all you need when most time is spent out and about, more than two could be quite cramped. What I didn't expect is to not have a full set of bath towels for two, missing everything but one towel was provided. When I tried to call I realized our fancy cordless phone was dead, so I had to get dressed to head down stairs to make the request. Also had a dead lamp in the room which required engineering to come up and change a lightbulb. What a pain to start my stay after a very long day. Room was okay on noise as 44th is not too busy, it's a bit dated for the price but was clean. After making my frustrations known the next morning to the staff, the only offer for recovery was a business card so sad to say I will not be back. As a hotelier, the basics were missed and should have been treated as more of a serious offense Than a small oversight.

I expected more than we got but it was ok. The bed was far too soft. The shower was decent. Seemed to be a shortage of lighting in the room. Same goes for plugs. WiFi is not free which I find astonishing these days but my 4g worked fine. I didn't mind using that thanks to the plan I'm on but for others travelling it's not ideal. Anyone I spoke to seemed pleasant enough. Great location.

This was not my first visit to NYC, and in past visits I've stayed in other NYC hotel room which were smaller than "shoeboxes". I was quite pleased with Fitzpatrick, which I would classify as a Euro Boutique hotel. The rooms were not gigantic, by any means, but in NYC standards, it was quite large. Meaning, at least I could walk around my bed, and even walk to the bathroom. There was plenty of storage space, plenty of closet space, and even had a safe for your belongings. The room also had a coffee maker and a desk. The bathroom was quite spacious, and had a tub and shower. The downside was the water pressure wasn't the best, and while taking a shower, the water would go cool, and then hot. I wasn't pleased with the toiletries provided, and should have brought my own shampoo and shower gel. But then, that's my preference. The toiletries were some unknown brand made in China, and provided no lather. If you're picky, I'd suggest BYO. My dad found this on Priceline, so I'm sure we didn't pay full price. Its located off East 44th/ Lexington, and is close to the Chrysler Building, 2 minutes from the Grand Central Terminal, and about 15 minutes walk to Radio City/ Rockefeller. I would stay here again. My stay was quite pleasant, even though my view was meh.

I just had a wonderful stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central as part of a weekend getaway to NYC! The trip was decided upon somewhat last minute, so I was nervous that I wouldn't find a decent hotel in Manhattan. Fortunately, there were still rooms available at the FGC and I was able to snag one at a favorable rate. You cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is right across the street from Grand Central and not far from Duane Reade, Dunkin Donuts, and Starbucks. Upon arriving, you will probably be met at the door by a smiling doorman who will help you carry your bags in. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We experienced no problems during our stay and found that everyone was willing to help us carry bags, find our airport shuttle, and get a reservation at a great restaurant. Most of them sounded Irish, which was a charming touch of authenticity in the middle of NYC. The lobby is small compared to an American chain, but it felt very welcoming and European to me. The size of the rooms was more than adequate, and I never once heard my neighbors or hall noise during our stay. Both the lobby and the rooms were tastefully decorated and made me feel right at home. If you need a quick bite or drink, check out the Wheeltapper attached to the hotel. We found the food to be decent, the service fast, and a table was easy to grab. All in all, two thumbs up for this place . . . I already can't wait to go back!

I recently stayed here for two nights. The room was okay, the bathroom was the best part, large for nyc. The interior is very traditional and old school. The room I stayed in had very old looking furnishings, so if you're into that style it's a plus. From photos I saw online I thought there was a rooftop/deck area, although I was not able to find that... The location of this hotel is great. Close to many good restaurants and grand central station. Staff was nice. My room didn't come with a tv remote or ice bucket, so I had to call for those items, they were brought within ten minutes. Overall, the hotel was nice. Nothing crazy special, but nice.

Hotel room was very clean, comfortable and the service was outstanding. Nice Irish pub adjacent to the Hotel with an outdoor section. Close to grand central station. I will stay here again when I come back to town.

This is what $400 a night gets you in NY!

Some highlights for me were the apples in the room (the big apple), the postcards they'd mail for you, a celebratory champagne/chocolate strawberries (we just got married this year), a picnic blanket they let us borrow for the park, a mirror tv bathroom, the heated floors, the location and the view. The concierge ways always there to help us with any questions or requests we had. We loved the picnic blanket they found us for the park. They also gave us a few food recommendations. We paid a little extra for a rollaway bed for our friend and still had plenty of room. I highly recommend staying here.

Friends thought we were a lil crazy for bringing two kids to Manhattan, but it ended up being such a special trip for us, and the Park Hyatt was a huge part of that. The hotel is beautiful, from the gorgeous floral arrangements throughout the property to the calm, elegant atmosphere. Our room was incredibly spacious, which felt like a true luxury in New York, especially with a stroller, luggage, SNOO and everything that comes with traveling with a newborn. Having that extra space made the entire trip feel easier. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the indoor pool. We took the boys swimming almost every night, and it became our little ritual. They loved it, and those evening swims are still some of my favorite memories from that trip. The location was perfect for a family stay. We walked to Central Park, FAO Schwarz, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Columbus Circle, and so many nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Being able to explore for a few hours, come back to the hotel to rest, and then head back out again made New York feel surprisingly easy. Now, two years later, our boys are older and we're planning another New York trip. I've been looking at hotels, but I keep coming back to the Park Hyatt because of how special that first stay was for our family. It would be pretty amazing to bring the boys back, let them swim in that pool again, and experience the hotel at a different stage of their childhood. The Park Hyatt will always have a special place in our family's New York memories.

They are like compartment spaces, with what you need: a bed by the window, a cool shower enclosure, a couple cabinets for storage, and a sink with soaps and shampoos to start the day or end the day right. I had booked the majority of my trip at another hotel, but I needed an extra night and used Marriott points for this stay. Overall, I thought it was a great place to stay. The location was very central, but it was not in the most crowded part of Times Square which I appreciated. It was a little hard to find at first because of nearby construction, but once I arrived, everything felt convenient and easy to access. The staff was relaxed, friendly, and helpful during check-in. I arrived around 1:00 PM, and my room was not ready yet, but once it was available, staff members were helping guests check in using the computers. The hotel has a very modern, tech-forward feel. The room included an iPad that controlled the lights, colors, and other settings, which gave the space a futuristic vibe. The room itself was very clean and felt pretty spacious for a New York hotel. The sheets and bathroom were clean, and I felt like I had everything I needed for a short stay. I also felt like it was a good value. I used about 58,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for the night, and New York hotels can easily run anywhere from about $200 to $500 per night depending on the date. Since I stayed on a weekday, that may have helped with the overall value. The next day, relocating to my other hotel was simple because the area was so central. As a Gold member, I also received late checkout, although I ended up leaving earlier than I needed to. The only thing that stood out was hearing another guest complain about the staff, which surprised me because my own experience had been very positive.

The restaurant Jams on the first floor is also great, and nice to be able to have a delicious meal right at the hotel. Excellent food and coffee - we went for both breakfast and dinner here. Some event must have been going on because getting an elevator was an adventure (a sad one). It didn't help that everyone had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, then another to get to their room. Fortunately, I was only on the ninth floor...so I got my steps in. The room itself was mostly ok. One thing I really didn't like was the air conditioning. It wouldn't cool below 68 degrees. I despise hotels that throttle the A/C. I'd get warm, the air would finally kick on, I'd be comfortable for about ten minutes...then the cycle would repeat all night. Another thing that caught me off guard was the ceiling. Maybe they're going for an industrial look, but it was basically unfinished concrete. Other than those complaints, everything else in the room was perfectly acceptable, and for a one night stay, it did the job.
