My past chiropractors used stim-pads and/or roller-massage tables instead of this very localized technique. I found "active release" very effective on my "hunch shoulders" syndrome inflicted by today's lifestyle: too much sitting at a desk or steering wheel. His traditional spinal manipulation method is firm and effective. Let's face it, a former NFL linebacker should be able to move my spine!
