I asked to cancel my membership during the peak of covid as I had lost my job. I was met with very little sympathy and a $300 cancellation fee. I could only commit to one calendar year of a membership, regardless of covid closures, but my membership was extended because apparently the closed months did not count - I did not sign up to have my membership delayed several months and should not be expected to pay for a gym I physically could not attend once the year had passed.

Then I paid $25 for a drop-in, casual class. I practice hatha yoga and bikram so yin yoga was different. To be honest, at first, I thought the poses were too simple and not challenging. So i collapsed heavy into the poses. The next day, my body was sore in all sorts of places I forgot about!!! I quite enjoyed the spiritual element to the class. Also, the venue was adorable. When I go to yoga, I like it more spiritual based with movement and not super broey gym vibe. Wil was great talking about concepts such as compassion, letting go of our desire to control, and accept this moment where we are right now. After class, I stayed and chatted a bit with wil. I will be coming back my next time in australia for his class he's a doll.

They have 2 separate entrances, and went to the wrong one first, which I got to on time! No warnings on your website in big print to your mean practice. Nor any signs in your foyer and your door unlocked, but you lock people out! Does it get any ruder!!!!!! What a disgrace of a company!!! Hate to think how much business you've lost with your inflexible, arrogant unhelpful attitude. You ought to be ashamed of yourself! Never will I go there again ! The studio is just like in the pictures, clean, modern and fresh. However I found for my first two times to the studio, that the staff weren't very helpful in explaining the studio. Having to line up several times to ask questions, as they didn't tell me the info straight off. Studio 2 is also down the road, 2 doors down, supposedly you can't miss - which I did. While I loved the studio and the class, I felt the staff weren't the most helpful/friendly so I will continue the hunt for another hot yoga studio.

And the instructors are super-helpful, not afraid to get hands on and complement you when you are getting better. The jumpboard classes are especially good, but I have not had a bad class here. I have also tried their barre class which was one of the better ones in the city. Natalya is really fun and her play list veers more into the pop territory, which is great for keeping the energy up during class.

The space itself is fresh white decorated with luscious indoor plants. It has sense of community and calm here with staff and fellow students all very friendly. There are two practice rooms. You can hire mats and towels or bring your own. There are boxes to place your belongings and slots inside the practice rooms to place valuables. The class sizes are smaller to what I have am used to and this gives the teacher a chance to come around to guide and assist you with your postures. I really feel challenged here and that is what I love about it. Make no doubt about it, you will SWEAT and you will work your butt off, but the after glow is ever so sweet and the feeling of accomplishment makes you feel really good about yourself. All the teachers have many many years experience between them. The owners of Yoga Flame have studied under well know Yoga teachers all over the world and they all continue to keep up their learning. Yoga Flame holds workshops with renowned yoga teachers from all over the world regularly and I will be attending a 3 day workshop on Moon Sun Fire with Octavio Salvado this weekend.
