I then called my insurance company and made a complaint. I tried calling Lakeside Member Services to complain. I was put in line and then given a customer satisfaction survey to fill out. I chose the lowest rating for everything. Then I was disconnected. Do not use this medical center. They do not deserve your business.

What made the situation worse was that Dr. John Li who I was made to feel was somehow a downgrade is actually Dr. Bakhtary's partner and was simply away on vacation for a few days before returning. The reaction I received for simply advocating for myself as a patient was inappropriate and uncomfortable. Patients deserve doctors who listen, communicate professionally, and prioritize care over pride. If something feels off, trust yourself and seek another opinion. Your health is too important not to.

Myself, opted in for the nitrous as a precaution, but before I knew it Dr. Bellman had completed his work and I was on the road to recovery. I have had no pain, iced for only the first two days, and needed no Tylenol. Procedure was done at 4:30p on a Thursday. I took Friday off as a precaution - but honestly could've come back to the office Friday.
