At the next appointment when discussing why my BG was spiking after dinner, his medical advice to me was "You can always eat less." You don't say? Gosh I hadn't thought of that?! I left the office with a few cotton balls that needed to be changed for a day or so and some expected congestion however, post-procedural pain was minimal and responded nicely with Tylenol. One week post-op and my nasal breathing is better already and improving each day. I am continuing with the nasal saline rinsing protocol and I'm very excited about the expected final results in the upcoming weeks. What made the situation worse was that Dr. John Li who I was made to feel was somehow a downgrade is actually Dr. Bakhtary's partner and was simply away on vacation for a few days before returning. The reaction I received for simply advocating for myself as a patient was inappropriate and uncomfortable.
