I have to say, this recent experience was on a whole different level when it comes to customer service and attention to detail! The two staff members working that day were absolutely amazing--so kind, helpful, and attentive. Our kids felt comfortable and safe with them the entire time. They offered to help set up and clean up our party items, checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed, and made a point to acknowledge the birthday boy multiple times throughout our reservation. We truly felt taken care of, and the staff made the day even more special. As for the space itself- we loved it. You get 2 hours from start to finish (Activities are 1 hour 45 minutes, with the last 15 minutes of your party being used for packing up). You can have up to 12 kids any additional is just $5 per child. You're allowed to come in 15 minutes early to set up, and cleanup needs to be done right at the cutoff so staff can disinfect and prep for the next group, which is totally understandable. The facility is spacious, very clean, and perfect for kids to run around and play. The staff takes them into the gym to do activities and keep watch making it nice for parents too! They also put up a birthday sign and streamers with the colors you ask for! Our kids had a blast--ours even fell asleep on the way home! Pizza delivery is available (we chose Pizza Hut because it's close), and you're also welcome to bring your own food and treats, which makes planning easy and affordable. Overall, we absolutely loved it here and can't recommend Horizon Kids enough!

I've talked with front desk staff and also emailed them with little to no changes. Gym is overall nice, equipment is fixed when broken and other gym members are nice. I've pointed out to staff when a feature isn't working correctly (or at all) and they seem puzzled about what to do with the information. For the first 6 weeks I used their wifi every visit to stream music...sometimes slow, but for the last 3 weeks it seems non-existent. I'm prompted today to leave a review due to a situation that occurred this morning. A lady fell while getting on a treadmill nearly directly in front of the staff desk. Two members helped her up and made sure she was ok. Staff behind the counter didn't see it happen. Presumably because they were looking at their 'screens' as usual. It's not uncommon to see 4 staff members congregating behind that desk. In my opinion, having the staff wandering around the facility would help prevent people from having phone conversations on the gym floor, would make them more likely to abide by attire rules, allow staff to see the # of members who sit on equipment for extended periods on their phones. Overall, a good facility that is being kept from being great by a nonchalant culture of the staff.

You aren't getting anywhere near the level of training you should for how much you pay. Mostly just pad work and his technique teaching was just alright. Rob also claimed to have actual combat experience but being involved for several years i could easily sniff out that the guy didn't have that many fights under him. Seemed pretty cocky with little to back it up. I couldn't find a tapalogy page or anything of him online so that should of been my sign to run for the hills. He also doesn't really try to connect with his students or make an effort to get to know them, kind of just robotic teaching which makes it much less enjoyable. Look, if your trying to just get a good workout in, this might be okay for you. But with his highly priced hourly rates your better off finding a recreational gym and just hitting a punching bag. If you want to learn actual boxing or MMA look in the complete opposite direction. You will not learn how to actually defend yourself here, you will just get yourself hurt. This is a cardio kickboxing gym so if that's what your looking for it's decent, otherwise, go somewhere else.

Finally, most helpful to me -all levels of ability are welcome. I'm handicap and not the most athletic person -but in this gym, all are cared for and all leave exhausted regardless of physical ability. I cannot recommend these particular branches (Grandville and Grand Rapids) enough.
