For those looking to try it out, I'd suggest the kickstart program - a 4 week program (12x one-hour sessions) that goes over every movement they offer and how to progress from whatever level you're starting at, which means ALL levels are welcome! A drop-in/punch pass is also a great place to start if you're wanting to check it out and get a feel for the space and instructors :) Remember to bring a water bottle and SMILE!!

The Coaches - Each and every coach, from the 4 owners to the new Level 1 coaches, are very knowledgeable. Whether it's your first time at a crossfit gym or your an elite competitor, they will give you tips on how to improve. EVERYONE gets some 1 on 1 instruction from a coach throughout the class (often there are 2 coaches). If you are struggling with something, they will put the extra time and effort into either give you new verbal cues, demonstrate a lift, show video clips, or researh new ideas - trust me, there's no movement you can't conquer! I have found that many coaches at other gyms either don't care about helping you improve and would rather chat with their buddies, or they just don't know how to help you.These coaches LOVE crossfit, and it shows. The Gym - The gym is bigger and better after they moved one door down - a larger space, new rig, extra weights, and new toys (ie axle bars, tires, atlas stones, punching bag, you name it). Plenty of space for the class, plus personal training, plus athletes doing their own workouts. Sometimes the workout is in the back parking lot, and there's a good running loop with minimal traffic. The Schedule - Armoury has the BEST schedule out of all crossfit gyms. They are pretty well open 6am-10pm, and are even open for a few hours (not just 1 or 2 classes like most gyms) on Saturday AND Sunday. The WODS - The workouts are programmed weekly by one of the coaches (regional competitor). There is always a new focus but the workouts are always unique. I have found that many gyms stick to the basics and it seems you're doing a similar wod every week, but Armoury is very good at throwing in new movements and pushing your limits! There is always a strength portion and a wod, plus extra credit if you must! And of course there are always tons of scaling options - technique comes first, and you only push yourself as hard as you want to. The Atmosphere - Everyone at the gym is very friendly, male and females, age ranges from late teens to senior. Come for a workout a couple times a week, or become a regular and get competitive - they've got the tools and resources to send people to regionals if you so desire!

XD I think this place counts as the second spin studio I've visited, and I like that they still have the flashing disco light show, timed songs playlist, and super energetic spin instructor to pump it up! It's pleasant to know that a good portion of the people there are regulars and both regular riders and the staff are willing to offer their assistance to setup your bike appropriately for a great ride. The little hand towels they provide on the bikes at the start of every class also helps reduce my laundry load at the end of the week haha :D Sadly the couple instructors I had the privilege of riding with are moving on from the studio or on vacation for an extended period, but I look forward to riding with different instructors and figuring out whose pace and energy I jive with :) Also! I really appreciated the opportunity to be able to participate in the February limited-time offer for earning some extra rides! I brought my friend and we both earned some free rides, and although sore from her first time in a while, really enjoyed the space and energy brought by the other riders and staff! All bikes were equipped with shoe cages and optional clips for cycle shoes. Each bike had space to hold your water bottle, phone, and a meter tracking both distance and RPM. I'm very new to crossfit and CCA has an awesome atmosphere which is super friendly and inviting. Everyon in the class introduced themselves to me and everyone supports and cheers eachother on throughout the class. Furthermore Ryan and/or Clayton (alot of the time they are both coaching which is awesome to have 2 coaches invloved b/c they are really working with each person) have always worked with me 1 on 1 every sing;e cvlass to show me the moves I am learning and the proper teqniches, Each class starts with a warm-up, then you do a lift of some sort which is where alot of the learning comes from, and then there is a workout of the day (WOD) where you really get physical, push yourself hard and sweat it out. I love this place so much that even though it is part of my fitset pass I am considering purchasing additional passes so I can visit this studio more often. Highly Highly recommended,

My…read morefirst time at an indoor cycling studio was fantastic! ‍ The studio was very very nice and new looking on the inside, complete with showers, keyless lockers, a little boutique at the front, and a sweet waiting/changing area in the back by the spin room. I so loved the inspirational wall in the waiting room! Gotta first back and take one to read every single line lol! The red accent wall with sparkling silver writing gives the quick details for the class/studio, with a little spot for posing with your besties after an intense sweaty ride (lol). They have about 50 bikes , and the light show is pretty sweet! Everything timed out to songs, lights and ride intensity, with empowering and energetic instructors! Shoes can also be provided upon registering for your class online, which is great (since I have no spin shoes ). I love that it's great cross-training for those with elevated fitness/training goals! Great cardio and they incorporate arms and other body part exercises while busting those thighs Spin it up!

I had gained a significant amount of weight, lost my love for the gym and had absolutely no motivation. Life was kicking my butt, and I was letting it. After some pushing and encouragement from my family, I decided to chat with the fitness manager at my local Goodlife to sign up for personal training. I was very skeptical. Scratch that, I was extremely skeptical of agreeing to work with a personal trainer. With the combination of bad experiences with personal trainers/coaches and injuries I wasn't looking forward to going through the process of vetting a personal trainer. Then I was introduced to Nathan. The first session I remember walking in thinking I don't know, maybe I should just cut my losses. I went in not expecting much. Oh boy was I wrong. Within in a few minutes I felt heard and understood. I gave him my goals and we workshopped together what would work and what might prove difficult for me. I have a handful of injuries that can make training a bit of a challenge for me. There are movements I need to avoid or be quite cautious with. Nathan is responsive and proactive to ensure I do not reinjure or injure myself. He's quick to grab the weight if I ever need a hand and is always willing to re-explain anything. I appreciate being told exactly WHY a movement is good for me versus just do this because it's good for me. I would personally recommend Nathan for pretty much anyone because he is knowledgeable, passionate about helping his clients and is great at making his sessions enjoyable. He has made going to the gym fun again, I feel like a little kid excited to go to the jungle gym every time I see that it's time for a session. Never thought I'd love going to the gym again. With his guidance I feel like I can personal accomplish all my goals I have set and even more.

Our dear friend Lorraine invited us to try it out and we had essentially a private free session as it was our first time- your first time is free to try! A great benefit if you've never tried cross ft before or are just getting into it. They have a great diversity of workout gear including kettle bells, foam rollers, lacrosse balls, bands, rowers, assault bike, dowel training bar, rings, barbells, medicine balls, and a rig. Their focus is you- because you are the machine. I really liked how they shared their view on crossfit and helped get us situated with not only a standard tour but they shared their story of how they got started in cross fit themselves and how they want to continue to have great vitality and health for themselves. The vibe here was AWESOME! Really relaxed and friendly, and then Jay and Anne were stellar coaches during our workout. They were clear and gave fantastic instruction on form and lots of healthy encouragement. To get started on your crossfit journey they recommend coming to 5 basic courses to get you feeling confident in your form and getting to know your body. I think that's a super healthy way to get into it so you don't hurt yourself or get frustrated. Excited to get to know everyone better and heck this place out again!

If I could give zero stars I would…read more Even when I explicitly explained I could not use the facility for personal reasons at the height of COVID, I was granted "leaves of absences" and then had to continue paying throughout which was $85/month for a service I could not even use. You are locked in completely like a mortgage and similar to a bank, you are not pardoned if a payment is late and will be charged fees on top of it. Not like a BUSINESS versus a single adult needs that or anything. It took me having to cancel my credit card so they won't be able to continue to charge me. I truly wish I had never signed up, it has been nothing but grief and anguish for two solid years where the only focus has been MONEY. Quite honestly, the most horrific and HEARTLESS company and customer service I've ever had to deal with in my life. I strongly advise that this company re-evaluate your costs, and inflexible policies in the STRUGGLING times we are living in. I'll remind you that your patrons are human beings, not atm machines.

I've been looking to switch up my work outs and decided to try out 30 minute hit! I signed up for a…read morefree trial workout online and got to try it this week. Getting the trial was seamless and so easy. When I arrived, the staff were super friendly and the paperwork was quick and easy. I was surprised to see I was the only one there to work out at 10 am. Part of me loves that- I often prefer to work out without distractions. The other part of me thought "aw, that's no fun!" A trainer walked me through each station and gave me fantastic tips and encouragement through the entire 30 mins. The workout itself is high intensity intervals (hence HIT) and focuses on kickboxing with an undertone of self defense training. I can get behind that. I loved that the workout was so quick, and totally ruined my body (and I'm used to working out regularly.) I can see how this would be a wicked option for people who are busy, but want to get a wicked workout/relieve some serious stress. The things I would change about this place would be their hours, and having a greater variety of stations. Their hours of operation are a little funky (they're closed in the afternoon) and I worry that I might get bored with the same stations! Too bad they don't have punch cards. Still thinking on whether I'm going to commit to a membership myself, but I definitely recommend checking it out! That trainer will kick your butt! I wish I could remember her name :(
