Workers removed 6 trees from my flower bed, ground the stumps and destroyed the entire length of my drip irrigation system. After my complaint, I was called and was told they are not responsible for irrigation that is not located, marked or identified. On the estimate, there is a place for an initial where I assume the owner acknowledges this caveat. My estimate is not initialed. The drip line is visible in the pine straw throughout the bed, but it was not marked with flags. The restoration of the beds will cost me more than what I paid to have the trees removed. Lesson learned. read more

When the man came to give the estimate he asked how they would get to the tree that was in the far right corner of my lot. I told him when they replaced my HVAC they took a section of the fence down then put it back up. He shook his head as he understood. When the team leader came to take the tree down he informed they would not be putting the fence back. Now mind you they were aware I board dogs at my home and this would leave me in a vulnerable position. Said team leader couldn't care less. He just moved the fencing breaking some of it also, off to the side. They also left deep ruts where the fencing was to go. The arrogance of the team leader never ended. When I brought the money out he INSTRUCTED me to count it. I doubt he would speak like this to a man. Very INSULTING!!! read more

They promptly came over for an estimate the day after I called. Gave me guidance about which trees were best to remove. The price was much less than I expected. The job was done without me having to be home. I could hardly tell where any of the 7 trees previously were. They did not even ask for payment until after the job was done. read more

Showed up as scheduled with the right equipment, the right people and a great attitude. Completed the job quickly and left no mess.

Fitness Tree was amazing! Lewis and his large crew arrived exactly at the time promised, and to a man were personable and professional. Rates were more than fair and they checked multiple times for our satisfaction before leaving. Highly recommended! read more

Fitness Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

Have used this company 3 different times. Absolute professionals. Always on time. Top quality work all the way down to the cleanup. They have always given me the best prices. My neighbor got a quote from 2 other companies and Fitness ended up being half of what they were going to charge. Hands down, best tree company I've ever dealt with. read more

When I received my quote to remove 9 trees, all tucked in tights spots between houses, I thought it was a lot. The estimator did a great job explaining what had to be done. The crew showed up and worked hard for a full day. The experience with which they extracted had the precision of a surgeon. There were massive limbs over my house and my neighbors. Nothing touched either house. It was like watching an artist at work. The clean up was way beyond my expectations. I was happy to write the check and would highly recommend. read more

I can only speak to their honesty......or rather, lack there of!! I actually never hired them; but was a victim of their carelessness and how quickly they cleared out numerous pieces of equipment, after they shredded the side of my car with their woodchipper and I asked to see the foreman of the job! My insurance contacted their insurance only to find out that they aren't covered for damaging your property....or mine!! Their employee had lied about the incident; but the owner should have been smarter than to believe a laborer who obviously wasn't going to risk his job in the name of honesty! read more

Owner was extremely prompt in scheduling and confirming date. Once the crew arrived I couldn't have been more impressed but how fast, meticulous and overall job was completed. They handled themselves as true professionals and exceeded all my expectations. I was utterly amazed. Kudos to your outstanding service. Definitely will use and highly refer y'all In the future. read more

I have never written a bad review, never even a mediocre review in my life. However, I feel that compelled to warn you of my experience with Fitness Tree. We had them come to "trim" back over 30 Leland cypresses last year. We know nothing about tree trimming, we trusted the reviews and Fitness Tree. Unfortunately, they completely hacked them to the trunk leaving us with 30 bare tree trunks. We held on to their assurance that they would grow back, even when I questioned it immediately after it was done. We waited over a year, nothing. We asked various landscaping companies to look at the tree line and all were in agreement- the trees had been completely destroyed by Fitness Tree. They would never grow back. I contacted them to reevaluate the trees and to have them removed. They were in agreement that the trees were trimmed wrong...however they adamantly denied it was them! They insisted someone came behind them and trimmed the trees?! This is absolutely 100% incorrect. Why would you ever pay 2 people to trim the same trees at the same time? The owner and the person who had personally done it denied it straight to my face. I have never felt so inappropriately dismissed as with the owner and his foreman this day. Oddly, the owner still took pictures so I am certain he knows his company is ultimately responsible. They could not bring back my trees, I know that. I truly only wanted the company to admit their mistake, and to work together to get the trees removed. I did not expect them to do it for free (although I know many would), I just expected an apologize and discuss how to correct this. If you are looking for a company that will potentially destroy your trees with absolutely no guarantee, then this is your company. If you want an owner who clearly cannot admit a mistake, this is your company. I would advise you to take immediate before and after pictures of any job done. However, I would strongly advise avoiding this company all together. read more

Fitness Tree provided me with superior, speedy service. I couple months post hurricane I opted to have a tree removed. It was not uprooted, so it was not an emergency. I expected a long wait, but they were able to take care of it within the week. The job was done well and clean up was great. I made a phone call a couple months later to ask them to grind down a bit deeper to allow me to plant a new tree in that same spot. They were quick to oblige to hold true to their promise of superior service. I cannot say enough good things about Fitness Tree Service. read more

Tried cutting a very large tree in my yard. I had done my own tree work for many years. But this one started to lean the wrong way, and I knew there was not way I alone ( actually had a friend pulling on the rope I had put only 25' up ) could not manage. I called Fitness and told them how I'd cut it 90% of the way, and if they could hurry there was a chance they could save my house from certain catastrophe.. They came within the hour and with a crew of 6, had d it down in 20 minutes. read more

5 successful palm tree plantings. 1 blew down during wind and rainstorm 3 days after planting and they returned to upright it w/o question. Steve (former Marine like me) and brother Bob good guys! I will have them back for 4 more plantings in the back in the fall... I recommend them to anyone!!! read more

After having a large pine tree crash through our roof during Florence, we decided to be proactive about 4 other pines that were too close for comfort. Jason came out and did an estimate in March, but due too their high demand, the crew couldn't come out to work until August. It was worth the wait! Jason and his 4 man crew worked over ten hours to cut down the trees (3 of which were in very close proximity of our house). Despite having to bring heavy equipment onto the yard, they were very careful not to damage our lawn. Watching them cut the trees down had all of the excitement of watching circus performers...the job was exacting and dangerous and they are experts at the precision tree removals! And they completely cleaned up afterwards! In addition, they were all very pleasant to work with. We highly recommend Fitness Tree! read more

All tree removal is expensive, so don't screw around, get Fitness.

We are really pleased with the service we received from Fitness Tree. We had a really tall pine removed along with a couple of bushes. Price was fair and the crew did an excellent job. They were very conscientious raking and removing debris from the yard and street . We would not hesitate to recommend. read more

We went to this company to purchase Palm trees. We were referred by our landscaper. Older guy with white hair met us in the parking lot. He did not seem very interested in helping us, he was really rather a jerk! After speaking to him several minutes we found out they did not service our area which was fine because I would never do business with this company because the salesman was so rude!!! read more

When I bought my 4 pindo palm trees last spring, they were in great shape. I followed the watering directions, fed them a bit, and they grew like mad. Unfortunately, the extremely cold winter killed them. Fitness tree replaced them free of charge, honoring their warranty, even though they were in no way responsible for the damage. They came, removed the old trees and planted new ones that looked even better than the originals. They could not have done a better job. I have two damaged palms in front of the house. If they don't make it, there is only one place I would ever consider to buy replacements. Fitness tree service. read more

All around great experience! I was looking for a company to remove a tree close to my house and sent them an email through their website. They responded quickly and sent someone to do an estimate within a day or two. They left the estimate on the front door. I decided to hire the company and they arrived on the scheduled day right on time. They were in and out pretty quick and it's like the tree was never there! I'd also like to point out the tree was in a difficult spot....it was in the corner of the fence and somewhat close to my house. They did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend them. read more

Would highly recommend this company for your tree purchase and installation. They even honored a two month expired warranty and came out to install a replacement palm at no cost! read more

I had contacted Fitness Tree on a Wednesday to see if some branches on pine tree could be trimmed up. The owner said no problem, we will take care of it. Thursday afternoon after arriving home from lunch, the job had already been completed. Amazing work. Would never have known that they were there. Left everything neat and clean. Great team at Fitness Tree. Outstanding service. read more

I was very disappointed with their service, I was told that the stumps of the trees removed from my yard would be totally removed. When I called to inform the staff that the roots were alive I was told that I should have put mulch down to further kill the roots. this was not told to me when I hired them. two landscaping companies came by to help me fix the problem and both said they didn't do a very good job. and, from my point of view, they made no effort to come back and fix the problem. I will not be using them again and I have informed my neighbors of their shoddy service. read more

I thought after using these guys for the third time it was time to write them a review. Steve, his brother and team have always provided phenomenal service at a great price. For this job I asked them to remove a 50 foot oak with 5 trunks and stump removal. Not only did they do the job but managed to remove the stump 1 foot below the existing ground level. After the job, they cleaned the space better than it was before. This is truly a great family run business in the Wilmington Area and I hope everyone out there looking for their types of services supports them in times to come. read more
