Workers removed 6 trees from my flower bed, ground the stumps and destroyed the entire length of my drip irrigation system. After my complaint, I was called and was told they are not responsible for irrigation that is not located, marked or identified. On the estimate, there is a place for an initial where I assume the owner acknowledges this caveat. My estimate is not initialed. The drip line is visible in the pine straw throughout the bed, but it was not marked with flags. The restoration of the beds will cost me more than what I paid to have the trees removed. When the man came to give the estimate he asked how they would get to the tree that was in the far right corner of my lot. I told him when they replaced my HVAC they took a section of the fence down then put it back up. He shook his head as he understood. When the team leader came to take the tree down he informed they would not be putting the fence back. Now mind you they were aware I board dogs at my home and this would leave me in a vulnerable position. Said team leader couldn't care less. He just moved the fencing breaking some of it also, off to the side. They also left deep ruts where the fencing was to go. The arrogance of the team leader never ended. I have never written a bad review, never even a mediocre review in my life. However, I feel that compelled to warn you of my experience with Fitness Tree. We had them come to "trim" back over 30 Leland cypresses last year. We know nothing about tree trimming, we trusted the reviews and Fitness Tree. Unfortunately, they completely hacked them to the trunk leaving us with 30 bare tree trunks. We held on to their assurance that they would grow back, even when I questioned it immediately after it was done. We waited over a year, nothing. We asked various landscaping companies to look at the tree line and all were in agreement- the trees had been completely destroyed by Fitness Tree. They would never grow back. I contacted them to reevaluate the trees and to have them removed. They were in agreement that the trees were trimmed wrong...however they adamantly denied it was them! They insisted someone came behind them and trimmed the trees?! This is absolutely 100% incorrect. Why would you ever pay 2 people to trim the same trees at the same time? The owner and the person who had personally done it denied it straight to my face. I have never felt so inappropriately dismissed as with the owner and his foreman this day. Oddly, the owner still took pictures so I am certain he knows his company is ultimately responsible. They could not bring back my trees, I know that. I truly only wanted the company to admit their mistake, and to work together to get the trees removed. I did not expect them to do it for free (although I know many would), I just expected an apologize and discuss how to correct this. If you are looking for a company that will potentially destroy your trees with absolutely no guarantee, then this is your company. If you want an owner who clearly cannot admit a mistake, this is your company. I would advise you to take immediate before and after pictures of any job done. However, I would strongly advise avoiding this company all together. read more

I expected a long wait, but they were able to take care of it within the week. The job was done well and clean up was great. I made a phone call a couple months later to ask them to grind down a bit deeper to allow me to plant a new tree in that same spot. After having a large pine tree crash through our roof during Florence, we decided to be proactive about 4 other pines that were too close for comfort. Jason came out and did an estimate in March, but due too their high demand, the crew couldn't come out to work until August. It was worth the wait! Jason and his 4 man crew worked over ten hours to cut down the trees (3 of which were in very close proximity of our house). Despite having to bring heavy equipment onto the yard, they were very careful not to damage our lawn. Watching them cut the trees down had all of the excitement of watching circus performers...the job was exacting and dangerous and they are experts at the precision tree removals! When I bought my 4 pindo palm trees last spring, they were in great shape. I followed the watering directions, fed them a bit, and they grew like mad. Unfortunately, the extremely cold winter killed them. Fitness tree replaced them free of charge, honoring their warranty, even though they were in no way responsible for the damage. They came, removed the old trees and planted new ones that looked even better than the originals. They could not have done a better job. I have two damaged palms in front of the house. I was very disappointed with their service, I was told that the stumps of the trees removed from my yard would be totally removed. When I called to inform the staff that the roots were alive I was told that I should have put mulch down to further kill the roots. this was not told to me when I hired them. two landscaping companies came by to help me fix the problem and both said they didn't do a very good job. and, from my point of view, they made no effort to come back and fix the problem. For this job I asked them to remove a 50 foot oak with 5 trunks and stump removal. Not only did they do the job but managed to remove the stump 1 foot below the existing ground level.
