For a fitness facility that offers so many services for $30/month, I feel like this is a great place to go. The staff is very friendly and helpful - always willing to give feedback, tips or provide motivation! The facility is very clean and the equipment is kept in good order. I appreciate the atmosphere and feel that it's the perfect environment for any type of individual seeking exercise. For those wanting to workout independently, there are countless machines and free weight options. For those seeking group motivation, there are classes or team training options that are very well put together. And if someone is looking for one-on-one training, that's available as well and the trainers are so invested in what they do. One perk that I highly appreciate is the Kid Club. It comes at no additional cost and they make sure the environment is safe and kept so clean and orderly. Although I try to work out later in the evening, if attending a class or visiting during the day, my kids have a great experience in the Kid Club and I can work out knowing they are in good hands. Overall, it's been a great experience for me at Fitness Premier in Bourbonnais and I'd refer anyone to join in! read more

When joined I was sucked in by the friendly personnel. It was clean and overall great vibe. 3-4 months into my membership I started receiving calls that I hadn't paid my membership. By this time I had already began process of purchasing a package for PT. After review, noticed they had been charging me twice a month for my membership and my husbands. $60 monthly, they were still saying I wasn't making my payment. I sent them bank information showing proof that charges were made. When I spoke to corporate for what seemed like the 10th time they gave me some excuse as to," we have no information for every individual gym. You have to go in and speak to manager in person." When I did that manager stated she would fix it but never did. Now I'm getting mail from a lawyer for collections. Horrible experience I tell anyone I can to just stay away. They overcharged me about $400. Please take the time to look at the pictures I posted. read more

I love this gym. Started the FitWave Program about 2 months ago and I am so glad I did- already seeing results! Class are challenging , yet fun. All of the instructors are amazing. During my checkpoint appointment, Jared answered all of my questions and gave me several protein packed food ideas for busy days. I would highly recommend this gym and the FitWave Program. read more

By far my favorite gym in town. All of the workers here are amazing and they're all so kind. The trainers and Fitwave class have definitely changed my life for the better and I always look forward to coming here. Huge shoutout to Ricky, Keegan, and Aaron!!! Y'all are the best!! read more

This is the worse gym that I have ever walked in to. I walked in thinking about joining but I walked out a couple of minutes right after being totally ignored by the front desk personnel. There was one trainer and one other employee talking to each other, and on the side desk another employee, if they where bussy they could of said, "hello I will be with you shortly," but no one every said hi or welcomed me at all. I stood there waiting with my kids because I was planning on joining with the kids club but after being ignored I walked out. Worst customer experience ever! I give this place zero stars! read more

Absolute garbage experience. Told the worker I couldn't afford the payment anymore, due to no work in the pandemic. This gal had the audacity to say "okay we'll just charge you this up coming month and then it'll be cancelled" I don't know how to bite my tongue, so I walked out. Wonder if that payment went to the gym or her pocket? read more

The gym is great and so are the employees there. The benefits are great too for only 30 dollars a month. However, the main office that handles accounts is HORRIBLE. They do not answer their phones, they avoid you if you are having an issue and they are not very informative. I had an issue and called them many times, leaving many voice mails and emailed them. I finally got a reply back via email. They didn't even have the decency to speak to me over the phone. My problem was not solved and I understand why but I really would have preferred a nice phone call back after my many calls. Also, a monthly fee AND an annual fee is ridiculous. read more

Fitness Premier - Time to hit the gym - Gyms Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

I agree with other reviewers. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I've always liked going here. Nice. clean facility with lots of options and a good variety of group-workout programs. My problem arose when I moved out of town and needed to cancel my membership. Tried just telling the clerk at the main desk... couldn't do it, he explained, because I had to go online to handle that. Fine. Tried to cancel online, but in the meantime, due to a hacking issue, my credit card company had reissued my card with a new number, so the corporate office did not cancel my account (I later discovered) since they hadn't been able to process my last payment. So, since my account was technically still active, they charged me another month, plus two months late fees. I get it... this is the way it works with online billing: strict policies, jump through all the hoops. But how about saying, "Really sorry... forget the bill... we know you have already moved and aren't even using the facility any more, and that you got caught in the middle of a credit card billing problem through no fault of your own. We want satisfied customers (which I had been, up to that point), so we'll work with you." Nope. It was, "There's nothing we can do, except we'll not bill you for a third month." And how about, when a customer leaves a message about a billing problem, you call them back right away, so they don't have to call you AGAIN the next day? Here's a tip from someone who also owns a business. If someone calls in with a problem or complaint, work with the person, cut them a break. Result: they are happy, you aren't really any worse off for having eaten a bogus bill. Forget policies and procedures when it comes to working with people. If they are mad enough to call and complain, they've probably got at least a somewhat legitimate point, and you don't make things better by saying, "Sorry, that's our policy." Fine, you have your policy, and I have another gym to go to. read more

Exorbitant price for any 'extra's', difficult to terminate, no activity for children while parents are working out, "personal trainers" have no clue how to work with physical limitations and put your health in jeopardy just to enroll you in classes and not do any actual personal training. Feels like they are only concerned with making a buck. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

do not join this gym..... they never have an attendant on site and forget about trying to cancel it. we have been trying to cancel for months and get no response. charges are now being disputed. terrible customer service...... read more

FItness Premier is formally known as Cardinal Fitness. This facility is not a 24-hour facility like their location in Manteno. This is larger than the location in Manteno and has more equipment. My only complaints are about the lockerroom. The lockers aren't clean and the room is cold, especially in the winter. read more

Buyer beware! During my initial consult, I was assured how easy to freeze my account when I went through some medical treatments. Not the case. They kept charging me after they told me they would stop. I left messages with their billing department and no one would call me back. When I finally got a call back to consult with them, they told me I was under contract and there is nothing they could do. I am giving them two stars instead of one because the trainer I was working with was really good. read more

This facility is now 24 hours which is great for me. They also have classes now but I haven't been to any, only interested in weightlifting. The free weight area is a little small and they only have one squat rack with non-adjustable safety bars. They have more cardio and core workout equipment. Locker room is small and usually smells. For the price ($30 for 24hr access), it's a good deal. If you're serious about lifting heavy though, this may not be the gym for you. read more

I like the employees, the atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately the managerial staff has poor customer service skills and was rude and unresponsive when a complaint was raised. Really unfortunate. I don't appreciate poor customer service--that's one way to lose a lot of customers quickly. read more
