A friend suggested I check out her CrossFit gym. I've been around fitness my whole life, CrossFit was something I didn't think I'd be interested in but thought I'd give it a try. After day one I was hooked. The movements, environment, attention to proper form, the challenge and best of all the coaches and members. You can workout anywhere but when you find somewhere that has a sense of true friendships and encouragement for everyone to succeed, you know you found your home. Functional fitness allows me to keep up with my kids. And the staff has always been there to push me outside of my comfort zone, but never into injury. :) CFC is a fun place to work out! The members and coaches keep things fun even though we're all exhausted at the end of a WOD.

They are not, esp for women. Some machines I can't even use cuz it doesn't have settings short enough, if I were to use it as it was, I'd risk injury. Hopefully theyll eventually add or replace some equipment and put in machines with wider range. Really the only thorn in my side, but this place is where you belong.

The staff is very friendly and helpful - always willing to give feedback, tips or provide motivation! The facility is very clean and the equipment is kept in good order. I appreciate the atmosphere and feel that it's the perfect environment for any type of individual seeking exercise. For those wanting to workout independently, there are countless machines and free weight options. For those seeking group motivation, there are classes or team training options that are very well put together. And if someone is looking for one-on-one training, that's available as well and the trainers are so invested in what they do. One perk that I highly appreciate is the Kid Club. It comes at no additional cost and they make sure the environment is safe and kept so clean and orderly. Although I try to work out later in the evening, if attending a class or visiting during the day, my kids have a great experience in the Kid Club and I can work out knowing they are in good hands. Overall, it's been a great experience for me at Fitness Premier in Bourbonnais and I'd refer anyone to join in!

By this time I had already began process of purchasing a package for PT. After review, noticed they had been charging me twice a month for my membership and my husbands. $60 monthly, they were still saying I wasn't making my payment. I sent them bank information showing proof that charges were made. When I spoke to corporate for what seemed like the 10th time they gave me some excuse as to," we have no information for every individual gym. You have to go in and speak to manager in person." When I did that manager stated she would fix it but never did. Now I'm getting mail from a lawyer for collections. Horrible experience I tell anyone I can to just stay away. They overcharged me about $400. Please take the time to look at the pictures I posted.

I've been going to Mike's Gym for years, and I've always felt at home there. I've never had a…read moreproblem. The equipment Mike chooses is solid and well thought out. It may not be fancy, but I'm not there to put on a show--I'm there to train. I've seen some negative reviews mentioning freeloaders and race issues, but I've never witnessed anything like that. There are signs posted everywhere regarding gym rules. It's a great place for both beginners and advanced lifters, with plenty of equipment, open 24/7, and no hidden fees.

I was on a business trip to the area and needed a quick one-day place to get in a lift. I took a…read morechance on Fit Body U, as it happened to be 5 minutes from my hotel. I was greeted immediately upon entering by the girl behind the counter. I went over to pay my day pass fee (only $5) and the owner/manager (not sure) came over to start speaking with me about where I'm from and what I'm looking to do. He gave me a quick tour around the place, there are about 4 rooms of equipment, lots of nice pieces, plate loaded and pin loaded. The people working out were all respectful and friendly. All were at various levels of fitness. Everyone seemed to wipe down their machines when done, so everything felt clean. Not everything is brand new, so it's not a fancy state of the art gym. But the vibe is perfect for me. It is very unique compared to other gyms I've been to, including a disco ball hanging from the ceiling in the main room. The decor varied from sports memorabilia, to bodybuilding posters, to an MTV logo and an M&M stand for towels. Pretty cool place. There isn't a lot of space to maneuver b/c of how full they have it with equipment. It's really a minor thing, and I do prefer the extra options for equipment, over the extra space for walking around. But just know that it's crammed for space. I will likely be back for another work trip, and will definitely stop in at Fit Body U again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this gym. Several years ago, I was participating in a…read moregroup exercise class when I was instructed to use a weight that, in my experience, was too much for me. I was injured during the workout and ultimately required surgery as a result of the injury. I understand that injuries can happen during exercise, however, the experience had a significant impact on me physically. I reached out regarding what happened, but I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed or that responsibility for what occurred was acknowledged. Because of my experience, I cannot recommend this gym and feel that potential members should be aware that this was my experience there.
