As for the gym itself, it has everything you need to be successful: a deadlifting area, 2 squat racks, 2 benches, etc. Lots of 100 and 45lb plates to go around. I met Tony and he couldn't be nicer. I immediately felt at home. The people at the gym are very friendly but at the same time stick to their workouts and "get in and get out". There are all levels of fitness in the gym and all are accepted (I am proof positive). I could not be happier with my choice to join T's!

Friendly, knowledgeable, genuine, and present! After traveling all over this country and back, i still love this gym. It''s simple, clean, to the point, not many frills, not many extras, but you can always count on the classes being free, the equipment to be in working order, and an empty locker to stash your stuff. There is a sauna and jacuzzi in each locker room, on site tanning, massage, and personal trainers. They also have some great instructors, some of which have worked there for over TWENTY years!! If you're tired of the impersonal touch of the 24 hour gyms, or the uncleanliness of the cheapest, give them a try. They aren't too much more, and you get a lot for those extra dollars. #corvSMB

The Good: Not very crowded. Lots of fans if you want circulation. Has most everything you will need. The bad: slightly claustrophobic. Putting running machines on a stick-built floor makes it seem like if you walk under it (machines are on the second floor) it might come crashing through the floor.. No pool. Don't get me wrong. The place is fine...I just came from the OSU gym so I have a slightly jaded opinion as OSU's is just a few years old and they invested tens of millions.

It's been awhile since I've been to the gym. A longgggg while. I was looking around for a gym in…read moreLebanon and decided to try out NWFit. Part of it is because I've always been a team sport player or runner, but have never really learned how to use gym equipment. As we know, you can definitely workout the wrong way and risk injuring yourself. I'm not old old, but old enough that if I hurt myself I will be at risk for longer recovery. Not a good plan. What I appreciate about NWFit is they offer a "No Sweat Consultation" session where you meet with the trainer (Nolan, who is also the owner) and discuss your goals and current lifestyle. Nolan is very friendly and does not make you feel like you are a lazy blob. He explains his approach to fitness and sees if it aligns with your goals. You have the option to sign up for group session or one-on-one, obviously pricing will be different. There is no annual membership fee or sign up cost. You pay weekly and have the option for how many days you plan on coming and prices reflect the number of days. For my current goals, he suggested going with the option that allows me to attend group sessions 4-6 day a week. In hindsight, I know myself better than that, I should have eased into this. I definitely felt stressed when I missed a day. My biggest challenge was the class times. I am not a morning person at all and I work basically 8-5 hours. No way I was making the 5 or 6 AM classes. I suppose you can make the argument that if my health was important, I'd wake up to go. I love my sleep though and sleep is also important. Case closed. The latest class is 6PM but that's not every day. Prior to attending an actual group class, you meet with Nolan so he can evaluate your current fitness level to cater the workouts to you. Yes, it is a group session, but the way he runs it, it can be adjusted to your needs and level. I attended only 3 of the 4-6 days my first week. See, I failed. But mannnnn did those sessions do me good. I was exhausted, but a good exhausted. I didn't feel like I overdid it during the sessions, but definitely challenged physically. I think it was originally intended to be a crossfit gym, but Nolan mentioned he's going away from that. The workouts are more focused on strength and flexibility. This combination allows for effective workouts and prevention of injury. Good things! There was never more than 8 people on any of the days I attended. It was a small intimate feel. He did mentioned it can sometimes get up to 15-16 people and he tries to cap it at 20 people max. Due to it being summer and my schedule is irregular, I was able to reach out to Nolan and ask for my membership to be paused temporarily. When I'm ready to come back, I just send him a un-pause email. Super easy.
