However, I anticipate the review to be very similar since it's the same gym run by the same people with the same business structure. Loves Park Peak: The gym is spacious and offers a lot of equipment which is nice. However, customer service is lacking. You walk in and the front desk is more of a hang out spot for the employees to chat amongst themselves instead of being customer service oriented. It's a higher end gym, you would think the members would be treated as such. The classes, have the right equipment, but the up beat energy of instructors to motivate and hype up the members and command a class is missing. I took a cycling class, great music, great ambiance and lighting, but the motivation, excitement, and hype at the front of the room from the instructors was sad and lacking. I tried many different times and different instructors, but sadly didn't find anything other than lacking. They seemed nice though. I do come from a high end gym, Club Studio, in Irvine CA. where their classes are all one big epic party while working out with great ambiance, great sound system, great mood lighting, and top notch instructors that elevate and motivate you throughout the whole class. Sadly, they do not have a Club Studio yet in Rockford and I did end up leaving Peak. Couldn't really justify the price of the membership at Peak when you can get close to the same amenities at any other gym in the area. Good gym. Nothing special. Not worth the hype.

If you follow your coaches instructions, you'll get results. Period. I didn't have much weight to lose when I started, but I've lost 25lbs in fat and gained quite a bit of muscle. Staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. My only issue is the employee had no idea how to work the angel machine, so I had I to figure it out for myself. Even with the instruction information on the wall, its a little difficult to get the hang of. So I don't blame them, but I do think since they work there, they should have some idea of how the machines are operated for those that are new to them like me.

Something was going on with the computers. He said I can pay next time so i come back in They gave me a late fee. He said he would waive it. He told me when I get out of tanning and come back cause something was wrong with the computer. I can pay when I come out he wasn't there a woman by the name of Larissa was and said he said you were going to pay I said yes she said are you going to use Apple Pay? I said yes and it came up $54. I said he's gonna wave late fees. I tried to pay last week but something was wrong. She said I cannot wave anything. It's an annual fee I said the late fee well I cannot,not to mention 15 minutes prior there wasn't no problem waving a couple dollars I told her I'll just pay later and I walked away. She yelled out you can't they won't let you back in the club with aggression. I laughed at her and said I've been here longer than you and she yelled out. There are only 3 lanes available; and if you go anytime after work, good luck getting access to the single lane that they condense lap swimmers down to due to swim lessons taking precedence. There are weird "safety breaks" that occur throughout the day and the last time I was there, I was in my final 25 lengths to my 2 mi swim and was told I had to get out because the lifeguard "deserved a break" (her words, not mine). Mind you, I was the ONLY person in the entire aquatics area at this time. And, she was wearing street clothes; not even a swim suit. I assured her I was of no concern to her and asked if I could finish my training. She suggested I "read the signs" As soon as my training comes to an end, I will be leaving this location. Their lack of employees, specifically lifeguards, should not negatively impact paying members. If I could submit more complaints, I would.

Upon signing up for Anytime Fitness it was clearly stated that you could cancel when needed and…read morethat I would only be charged for meeting with my trainer when I saw him. and if I was not going to see him that he needs a 24 hr heads up at least or you will be charged anyways. this was not a problem until it became a problem. shortly after joining and actively going to the gym day to day and seeing my trainer once a week I ended up losing my car temporarily. I notified my trainer that I would not be able to make it that day but it was okay if he charged me the full amount as he was a nice guy and it was not a 24 hr heads up. I then notified my trainer that moving forward I would not be able to make to training sessions due to not having a car. Friday dec 8th 2023 I was charged $104 which is for 2 sessions every 2 weeks however I did not go to these and my trainer was made WELL aware of my attendance and that I would not be coming. I reached out to my trainer and notified him that I was still being charged and that I needed Taylors direct number to get this refunded and resolved. word for word this is what the trainer messages me "Yes that does not stop" "They will continue to pull the payments even if youre not training until your contract is over. however your sessions will remain in your account until you use them." I told him how much I was charged and that it was not for the membership but for the training that did not happen I then let him know that I was upset and that I would like to cancel the entire membership if that is the case. Taylor Lucas the account manager I'm assuming then tries to reach out to me to resolve this issue by telling me that they are unable to cancel my membership as it is a Contract. THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR AT ALL I blocked further payments from them but they are trying to send me to collections for $1000+ Contract that I did not agree to the he twisted on sign up. I would like this to be off my record and a full refund of the 436 due to this malpractice joke of a business

Every trainer at Fitness Works is experience and knowledgeable in many diverse fitness fields. As well as getting that feelings of trainer truly being their for you and building a workout program that best suits our needs. Something that sadly isn't as common in the bigger gyms in the Rockford area. We love this location!…read more I've been going here off and on since I was a kid and used to beg my mom to come play in the kids area, pool and racquetball courts. As I got older I enjoyed the weight room, indoor track, sauna, and eventually, now that I have kids of my own, REALLY enjoy the daily childcare. There is truly something here for every age group. Not to mention the staff are over and above friendly and I feel like every time I come I'm family. When I was a kid I definitely took for granted how lucky we are to have a facility like this. I didn't know any different. But now after traveling a lot for work and using other Y facilities, I realize how great this location is--not to mention it's the 6th biggest one in the U.S.! They have lots of programs and classes for every fitness level if that is your thing, and have events throughout the year too. They do so much good for our community and my wife and I can't say enough good things about the Y. Plus it's very affordable for everything they offer. A membership here also entitles you to access several other Rockford Y facilities in addition to a majority of YMCAs around the country. We've been members at other health clubs/gyms around town but this is our favorite. We think everyone should be members!

They are very friendly and helpful. I'm on an unlimited plan and unfortunately life happens and I have to call in every now and then to cancel last minute classes due to my children and their summer activities. They are extremely accommodating as long as you give them a call and let them know. That is a huge factor for me to continue club Pilates. I hope to be here and incorporate club Pilates for life. Thank you guys for making it a comfortable experience where there's no judgment or criticism.

I have knee issues and pilates has helped so much and the instructors are able to give you modified exercises so you won't have pain. I highly recommend Club Pilates no matter what level you are comfortable in.
