However, I anticipate the review to be very similar since it's the same gym run by the same people with the same business structure. Loves Park Peak: The gym is spacious and offers a lot of equipment which is nice. However, customer service is lacking. You walk in and the front desk is more of a hang out spot for the employees to chat amongst themselves instead of being customer service oriented. It's a higher end gym, you would think the members would be treated as such. The classes, have the right equipment, but the up beat energy of instructors to motivate and hype up the members and command a class is missing. I took a cycling class, great music, great ambiance and lighting, but the motivation, excitement, and hype at the front of the room from the instructors was sad and lacking. I tried many different times and different instructors, but sadly didn't find anything other than lacking. They seemed nice though. I do come from a high end gym, Club Studio, in Irvine CA. where their classes are all one big epic party while working out with great ambiance, great sound system, great mood lighting, and top notch instructors that elevate and motivate you throughout the whole class. Sadly, they do not have a Club Studio yet in Rockford and I did end up leaving Peak. Couldn't really justify the price of the membership at Peak when you can get close to the same amenities at any other gym in the area. Good gym. Nothing special. Not worth the hype.

Upon signing up for Anytime Fitness it was clearly stated that you could cancel when needed and…read morethat I would only be charged for meeting with my trainer when I saw him. and if I was not going to see him that he needs a 24 hr heads up at least or you will be charged anyways. this was not a problem until it became a problem. shortly after joining and actively going to the gym day to day and seeing my trainer once a week I ended up losing my car temporarily. I notified my trainer that I would not be able to make it that day but it was okay if he charged me the full amount as he was a nice guy and it was not a 24 hr heads up. I then notified my trainer that moving forward I would not be able to make to training sessions due to not having a car. Friday dec 8th 2023 I was charged $104 which is for 2 sessions every 2 weeks however I did not go to these and my trainer was made WELL aware of my attendance and that I would not be coming. I reached out to my trainer and notified him that I was still being charged and that I needed Taylors direct number to get this refunded and resolved. word for word this is what the trainer messages me "Yes that does not stop" "They will continue to pull the payments even if youre not training until your contract is over. however your sessions will remain in your account until you use them." I told him how much I was charged and that it was not for the membership but for the training that did not happen I then let him know that I was upset and that I would like to cancel the entire membership if that is the case. Taylor Lucas the account manager I'm assuming then tries to reach out to me to resolve this issue by telling me that they are unable to cancel my membership as it is a Contract. THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR AT ALL I blocked further payments from them but they are trying to send me to collections for $1000+ Contract that I did not agree to the he twisted on sign up. I would like this to be off my record and a full refund of the 436 due to this malpractice joke of a business

You may think you are joining for a set fee, don't believe it. they have hidden fees and costs they can't wait to spring on you. Believe me, there are way better clubs for less and no hassle- if hassle is what you seek, in addition to excessive fees, you should definitely sign up here- if those are the criteria, I give this place five stars, I have been a part of Anytime Fitness elsewhere and had a positive experience. We don't come here as often as the other locations, but when we do I'm always pleasantly surprised at how chill it is and easy to navigate, especially compared to the downtown y (that y can be a little intimidating and overcrowded at times, but they also offer many more things). This location offers kid care 8-11:30am Monday-Saturday and 4-7pm Monday-Thursday. Love that we can drop our kids off and workout in peace for a while, and our little kids love the toys in there. Everything is kept nice and clean, and there is a good amount of weight and cardio equipment for the space. I also like the "break room" in the back to chill for a few minutes after my workout. Staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. My only issue is the employee had no idea how to work the angel machine, so I had I to figure it out for myself. Even with the instruction information on the wall, its a little difficult to get the hang of. So I don't blame them, but I do think since they work there, they should have some idea of how the machines are operated for those that are new to them like me.

We love this location!…read more I've been going here off and on since I was a kid and used to beg my mom to come play in the kids area, pool and racquetball courts. As I got older I enjoyed the weight room, indoor track, sauna, and eventually, now that I have kids of my own, REALLY enjoy the daily childcare. There is truly something here for every age group. Not to mention the staff are over and above friendly and I feel like every time I come I'm family. When I was a kid I definitely took for granted how lucky we are to have a facility like this. I didn't know any different. But now after traveling a lot for work and using other Y facilities, I realize how great this location is--not to mention it's the 6th biggest one in the U.S.! They have lots of programs and classes for every fitness level if that is your thing, and have events throughout the year too. They do so much good for our community and my wife and I can't say enough good things about the Y. Plus it's very affordable for everything they offer. A membership here also entitles you to access several other Rockford Y facilities in addition to a majority of YMCAs around the country. We've been members at other health clubs/gyms around town but this is our favorite. We think everyone should be members!

They counsel you on healthy eating and provide meal plans. They also have a deal with another local business, Food4Fuel, where you can get 10% off pre-prepared healthy meals. Tbh, I've not really stuck to their meal plans. I just do calorie counting on my own (I want this to be a long term solution to my weight problems, not something that will burn off 50 lbs. that I'll gain as soon as I have to move away from Rockford). The 2 best things here, though, are the group workouts and the community. I have made so many friends at MaxP that I would have never known otherwise. Oh, and I've lost 20 lbs. AND! I can feel abs for the first time in my entire life! It's expensive, but it is so, so worth it. The people are amazing, the workouts make you feel better than you ever have, and the accountability makes your goals actually achievable.
