It really pains me to write this but I've been going back and forth with these guys to get the $259.96 they overcharged me to no avail. I cancelled my membership properly then months later saw that they were still charging me. They acknowledged the error, gave some excuse for their faulty system and then nothing. Then they tried to charge me again, this time they pawned the task to Jessica who got the current charge reversed but when I ask about the last four months, "I'll talk to Reggie" then nothing. Ive known the owner Reggie for well over a decade now and unfortunately had to take a break from training after moving to a different city. When I was searching for a personal trainer recently, I was so hyped that Reggie opened Fit House. I've been going to him for about 3 months now and the progress I've made with him in this short time is more than I've seen in last 5 years of working out on my own. I find the atmosphere very welcoming and there is a consistent set of people who work out who motivate you to come in as well. They have workout towels, water and sports drinks to buy. They also have cleaning wipes for machines. Very clean space and is COVID safe with the doors usually open generating a flow of air in the gym. Reason for signing up I found this gym when searching for an alternative to working out at home. I put on weight because of the pandemic and wanted to lose some of it. I signed up for this gym in Feb 2022. Size of Gym Initially when I looked at the pictures on Yelp, I thought that this gym is small. And when I was comparing it to other gyms like LA fitness that have rows of Treadmills and machines, I was worried I would have a hard time working out. But I found that working out at FitHouse, I've never had a problem with finding an open machine or a free weight. Time of day working out Depending on the time you decide to workout, you tend to see the same people which help motivate me because others can see your progress even if you can't. A lot of people are friendly and talkative, but everyone gives you space as well. I tend to exercise in the evening after work and never had a problem with their hours. Personal Trainer I found out after 3 months of working at the gym unguided that I was lost at what to do to achieve my result to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. I was paired with the trainer, Reggie, who takes a very scientific approach to working out. He has decades of fitness experience and it shows. He helped me make significant progress in 2 months that I thought was not possible. I gained 5lbs of muscle and lost 5% of body fat. Many people who hadn't seen me in awhile asked what I was doing to get into the shape I was in. I would approve of the other trainers there such as Jan as well. Everyone seems to have a high knowledge of fitness. Parking It is located on a busy street. There is usually a place to park infront of the gym or around the gym. You probably would never have to park more than a block away and if you park in the residential area, it will be free. Things nearby If you workout in the morning, there are a tons of places across the street to grab an after workout snack. Starbucks, Boutique coffee shops, breakfast stores etc. Cost I think their prices are fair. I personally find in this stage of my life that I don't mind paying for their amenities and a trainer that guarantees results versus a cheap membership and some classes. read more

Fit House is the best gym in the Valley. The owners, Reggie and Von, are both really nice guys, and they seem to care deeply about creating the best environment possible for their members. The gym is always super clean and has everything you need for a great workout, plus some things I've never seen at a gym before such as a sled and an infrared sauna. It's also never overcrowded. I have a super busy schedule and I can get in and out in about an hour. I've only had to wait for a piece of equipment once or twice. Most of the members seem to be really nice. It's the kind of place where if you want to socialize you can. On the other hand, if you are more like me and want to get in and out without being bothered you can do that as well. Last, as a former personal trainer, I have to say that the trainers at the gym all seem excellent(which is rare). While I would be most comfortable recommending Reggie or Von to friends you probably can't go wrong with any of them. read more

Since I have two toddlers and I try and devote time to them on the weekend. I was excited and thrilled that he took me on as a client. After 2 days of being a member of this gym I had a disagreement with the owner regarding their hours of operation. The owner agreed to give me a refund for the consideration that I paid. Suspicious when they sent me no confirmatory memorandum like they had done when they accidentally charged me 100 dollars, when I initially signed ,up I opened a dispute with chase bank and was granted my money. Today to my surprise I found that chase had reversed the money and given 200 dollars back to the owner. Not only did owner never refund my money but they also contested the reversal. Caveat Emptor. Edit: In response to the owner id like to add the following facts: 1) I never asked for a free membership. In fact it was not given the option. Not sure why the owner is fabricating those facts 2) Fact, The owner lied about there hours and I have screenshots to corroborate that version and will happily share them upon respect. 3) Fact, the owner charged me $300 dollars when I initially signed up. $100 dollars were refunded immediately because the owner mistakenly overcharged me. The owner did refund me another $100 dollars according to my chase account and owes me a $100 dollars. All of which I have documentation to prove upon request. I was born in Los Angeles and have lived in the valley my entire life. I want nothing more than small business to thrive because they are essential part of our cities culture and thriving economy. I came here to rave about Fit House and my trainer, Paul! I recently joined and was nervous since I haven't worked out in a long time and am definitely out of shape. This place is very awesome! From the very start, Reggie and Jan were really friendly and encouraging. The vibe is very positive and comfortable (with great music always playing). I wanted to get the most out of my time there, so I started training with Paul. He's probably one of the most knowledgeable and thoughtful trainers I've ever worked with.
