I've been going here for a couples years now. I train with Reggie and I'm hands down the strongest I've ever been. It's a great place, super convenient to my house and not so busy that I wait for weights or machines. They have turned into gym family. It's wonderfully warm place to work out. read more

I've had an amazing experience at Fithouse 818. The atmosphere has been welcoming, motivating, and completely free of the intimidation you sometimes find at larger gyms. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about helping you reach your goals. Every workout is personalized, challenging, and designed to fit your fitness level while pushing you to improve. The attention to proper form, encouragement, and accountability has made a huge difference in my progress. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and never overcrowded, which makes every workout enjoyable. I've been going to FitHouse 818 for a couple of years now, and it's hands down my favorite gym I've belonged to. The owner has built something that truly feels like a community--everyone is friendly, the staff is great, and it's just an easy place to enjoy working out. Best of all, you're not fighting the crowds like at 24 Hour Fitness or Equinox. You can get in, get a great workout, and get on with your day. Couldn't recommend it more. read more

I've been putting on a little weight lately, so I figured it was time to stop making excuses and join a gym again. I ended up checking this place out, honestly I'm glad I did. It's not a huge commercial gym, but it has all the equipment I've needed so far and never feels overwhelming. One thing I noticed right away is that people are just there to get their workout in. I never felt judged or out of place, which made it a lot easier to get back into a routine. If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood gym with everything you need, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

Fit House 818 has been such a supportive place and the trainers are incredibly attentive and have helped me get stronger and make real progress toward my fitness goals this year. After taking time off because of an injury from a car accident everyone was so encouraging and supportive of my recovery. I've always felt like they genuinely care about helping me succeed. Amazing trainers! I always felt right at home and welcomed even when my goals may have been unrealistic. I came in 5'3 130lbs and have been working hard at it to feel like more than numbers on a scale. The workouts are great and the staff is so supportive. Thank you Fithouse! read more

Fithouse 818 is a different level of gym. Fully equipped, great people, and the kind of energy that makes every workout hit harder. From the staff to the members, everyone's welcoming and supportive, which makes it easy to stay consistent. I've been coming here for years and still haven't found anything else that compares. The personal training and group sessions are elite. The trainers push you exactly when you need it, the workouts are fun but serious, and the group energy keeps you locked in from start to finish. If you're in Sherman Oaks and actually want results--not excuses--this is the place. Highly recommend Fithouse 818 read more

This gym is the best. I miss going there. It is such a nice setup with all equipment around. Great vibe. You won't be disappointed!

It really pains me to write this but I've been going back and forth with these guys to get the $259.96 they overcharged me to no avail. I cancelled my membership properly then months later saw that they were still charging me. They acknowledged the error, gave some excuse for their faulty system and then nothing. Then they tried to charge me again, this time they pawned the task to Jessica who got the current charge reversed but when I ask about the last four months, "I'll talk to Reggie" then nothing. I have emails and text messages with all the conversations. I've been more than patient and kind about this. I would really like my money back. read more

Here we go again, i woke up to another charge. For a membership I cancelled since April. It's very frustrating having to deal with this every month. I've called, emailed and left reviews here but it doesn't matter. Don't know why it's so hard to cancel someone's membership and remove their information. stop charging my card!!! Again i cancelled my membership in April , been charged for products and membership. Stop!!! read more

Fit House is my go to workout spot! My trainer Miss Allie was an absolute gem I've been sore for weeks!‍

It's my neighborhood gym. And it's got everything... except the wait for weights. Great and friendly owners and trainers (there are lots to choose from... IF you want one; no hard sales here). Very friendly and 'dedicated' clientele. But... if you like going to a warehouse gym where nobody knows your name and you like waiting for machines, this place is not for you. read more

I'm not a "gym guy". My fitness goals can be described as "healthy dad bod". I belonged to an LA fitness in the past, but decided that working out with a home trainer was more for me. Fit House opened around the corner from me though. And my trainer moved away. So even though I'm not that comfortable with gyms, I decided to give them a shot. And I am so glad I did. I rarely have felt more welcomed by Reggie, Jan, and Paul (my trainer). The facilities and atmosphere are awesome. And living close, I walk by the gym often with a welcome "hello". This is a wonderful, independently owned local business. And I am glad I took the plunge with them. read more

Let's start off by saying the owners are super sweet and friendly. The gym is always clean and is never over crowded. I left equinox and joined fit house a couple of months ago and I'm so glad I did. Their membership fee is affordable. It's a private, personal gym. You don't have to worry about waiting to use equipment either. One of the things I really noticed and appreciate is there's a great air flow in there and never has the funky gym smell. The owners are always there willing to help or show you how to properly use equipment or correct your form. I always get a good workout here and highly recommend this gym! read more

Deciding to enter back into that space was a big step for me and I wanted to find a gym that was local, welcoming, safe and supportive. I found all of that and more at Fit House and it has honestly been the best self-care decision I've made in awhile. Reggie creates a fun and educational environment while treating everyone with care. There is a clear value for community, support and health that goes into his vision. For example, I told him it was my first time back in awhile and he helped me decide which exercises were best and guided me with the correct form. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey back into strength with Fit House. Thank you! read more

I LOVE this gym!! It's always clean, the trainers are amazing. I enjoy training with Jan, I've done his open group sessions and 1 on 1's and he really pushes me to be my best. Ive known the owner Reggie for well over a decade now and unfortunately had to take a break from training after moving to a different city. When I was searching for a personal trainer recently, I was so hyped that Reggie opened Fit House. I've been going to him for about 3 months now and the progress I've made with him in this short time is more than I've seen in last 5 years of working out on my own. I love that he understands what my goals are and adjusts my sessions based on the needs that week. Our bodies are changing daily and Reggie is great about recognizing this. I also love the vibe at Fit house. It feels like a family where everyone knows each other so it makes working so much more comfortable and fun. I truly look forward to going to the gym!! read more

Fit House is the best gym in the Valley. The owners, Reggie and Von, are both really nice guys, and they seem to care deeply about creating the best environment possible for their members. The gym is always super clean and has everything you need for a great workout, plus some things I've never seen at a gym before such as a sled and an infrared sauna. It's also never overcrowded. I have a super busy schedule and I can get in and out in about an hour. I've only had to wait for a piece of equipment once or twice. Most of the members seem to be really nice. It's the kind of place where if you want to socialize you can. On the other hand, if you are more like me and want to get in and out without being bothered you can do that as well. Last, as a former personal trainer, I have to say that the trainers at the gym all seem excellent(which is rare). While I would be most comfortable recommending Reggie or Von to friends you probably can't go wrong with any of them. read more

I find the atmosphere very welcoming and there is a consistent set of people who work out who motivate you to come in as well. They have workout towels, water and sports drinks to buy. They also have cleaning wipes for machines. Very clean space and is COVID safe with the doors usually open generating a flow of air in the gym. Reason for signing up I found this gym when searching for an alternative to working out at home. I put on weight because of the pandemic and wanted to lose some of it. I signed up for this gym in Feb 2022. Size of Gym Initially when I looked at the pictures on Yelp, I thought that this gym is small. And when I was comparing it to other gyms like LA fitness that have rows of Treadmills and machines, I was worried I would have a hard time working out. But I found that working out at FitHouse, I've never had a problem with finding an open machine or a free weight. Time of day working out Depending on the time you decide to workout, you tend to see the same people which help motivate me because others can see your progress even if you can't. A lot of people are friendly and talkative, but everyone gives you space as well. I tend to exercise in the evening after work and never had a problem with their hours. Personal Trainer I found out after 3 months of working at the gym unguided that I was lost at what to do to achieve my result to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. I was paired with the trainer, Reggie, who takes a very scientific approach to working out. He has decades of fitness experience and it shows. He helped me make significant progress in 2 months that I thought was not possible. I gained 5lbs of muscle and lost 5% of body fat. Many people who hadn't seen me in awhile asked what I was doing to get into the shape I was in. I would approve of the other trainers there such as Jan as well. Everyone seems to have a high knowledge of fitness. Parking It is located on a busy street. There is usually a place to park infront of the gym or around the gym. You probably would never have to park more than a block away and if you park in the residential area, it will be free. Things nearby If you workout in the morning, there are a tons of places across the street to grab an after workout snack. Starbucks, Boutique coffee shops, breakfast stores etc. Cost I think their prices are fair. I personally find in this stage of my life that I don't mind paying for their amenities and a trainer that guarantees results versus a cheap membership and some classes. read more

Rude and unwelcoming . Asking about membership and prices and the staff person sitting at the desk playing with his phone could not even be bothered to answer questions. Spoke abruptly and just barked out prices. I guess they have zero interest in new members. Place was empty. I can see why after checking it out. Bye Felicia read more

Amazing non judgmental zone! I gained 45 lbs in the last 9-10 months and Reggie + Fala have been so supportive! I'm at the start of my journey but I know they will get me to my goals. If you're thinking about losing weight or bulking up this is the perfect place for beginners all the way to professionals! read more

****beware*****I came into this gym asking for private sessions and the owner said he'd meet me to do the sessions. I explained to him that I need to do early weekend appointments. Since I have two toddlers and I try and devote time to them on the weekend. I was excited and thrilled that he took me on as a client. Several texts throughout the week came through was telling me that he was going to be trying me on Saturday at 6:30am. Well here I arrived to a closed gym at 6:30am on a Saturday and I got nothing beside a closed gym! I am luck I didn't pay for it yet. After 2 days of being a member of this gym I had a disagreement with the owner regarding their hours of operation. The owner agreed to give me a refund for the consideration that I paid. Suspicious when they sent me no confirmatory memorandum like they had done when they accidentally charged me 100 dollars, when I initially signed ,up I opened a dispute with chase bank and was granted my money. Today to my surprise I found that chase had reversed the money and given 200 dollars back to the owner. Not only did owner never refund my money but they also contested the reversal. Caveat Emptor. Edit: In response to the owner id like to add the following facts: 1) I never asked for a free membership. In fact it was not given the option. Not sure why the owner is fabricating those facts 2) Fact, The owner lied about there hours and I have screenshots to corroborate that version and will happily share them upon respect. 3) Fact, the owner charged me $300 dollars when I initially signed up. $100 dollars were refunded immediately because the owner mistakenly overcharged me. The owner did refund me another $100 dollars according to my chase account and owes me a $100 dollars. All of which I have documentation to prove upon request. I was born in Los Angeles and have lived in the valley my entire life. I want nothing more than small business to thrive because they are essential part of our cities culture and thriving economy. I however cannot stand back when someone who is not from our neighborhood steals money and then makes baseless, defamatory statements to me and my families character Once again I advise anyone who wants to try out this gym to stay clear in order to avoid the head ache I'm now facing. read more

I came here to rave about Fit House and my trainer, Paul! I recently joined and was nervous since I haven't worked out in a long time and am definitely out of shape. This place is very awesome! From the very start, Reggie and Jan were really friendly and encouraging. The vibe is very positive and comfortable (with great music always playing). I wanted to get the most out of my time there, so I started training with Paul. He's probably one of the most knowledgeable and thoughtful trainers I've ever worked with. He's attentive, smart, responsive, supportive and makes hard work fun (but challenging too). I've already noticed physical changes, and that's exciting! Highly recommend this place and especially training with Paul! I'm so glad I decided to join Fit House and am grateful for the positivity and support! read more
