I've been meaning to write a review for this place for some time and want to say it's definitely deserving of a 5 star review. I come to Fitbox on occasion through class pass and have always felt welcome here even though I'm not a regular member. I've tried a few different classes and have never been disappointed. They have a fun mix of weights, boxing and circuits. They make sure to correct your form and I appreciate their attention to detail. This is a family owned business and each instructor makes it a point to remember your name. They also have free parking in the back which is an added bonus since they are located on Ventura which can get pretty busy. Highly recommend you try out this place. read more

Been coming to Fitbox since they first opened. What a workout!! I love coming to this gym and working with Joseph, Roger and Sue. They really care about their members. Not only its a killer cardio workout, they also work on your overall boxing form and stamina building. My favorite class is their 5x5 lifting. This is the first time taking a class with Roger Marshall at the new location. I used to work out when the Marshalls taught at another location many moons ago. The class was excellent. When I first walked in, I was a little nervous. After all, I hadn't boxed in a rigorous group setting for some time and I thought I'd be the first one on the floor out cold. When Roger walked in, he greeted me by name! Sue came up to me after class to render CPR, just kidding, to say hi. They are the nicest couple AND they are the real deal! At first, I thought it looked crowded from the amount of people in the room, but there's ample room and plenty of heavy bags to go around. Roger warmed us up initially, then we got into doing drills that are challenging but fun. Roger seems to know exactly where everyone is in terms of fatigue level. I think after his years of experience, he knows just how hard to push the class without anyone passing out, even me! read more

FitBox is a fantastic place to workout. I've been working out at FitBox for the past year with dramatic results. The boxing classes are a terrific cardio work out and the 5x5 weightlifting classes are great for strength training. The classes are fun, fast-paced and always different. The Marshall family - Roger, Sue, Joseph & Michelle - are all wonderful and experienced trainers, and it is a welcoming community of clients. I can't say enough great things about this gym and the family who owns it. The Marshalls truly have a passion for what they do. Their boxing, weight and circuit training classes are like no other. I've been working out with the Marshall family for almost two years now, starting when they were teaching our of another studio. I'm so happy they've got their own bright and modern stylish studio with all new equipment. Their boxing classes are phenomenal. High energy, challenging and great for all levels. No class is ever the same routine, and there is always a mix of bag work, mitt work, partner drills and bag drills. Words cannot describe how much I love FitBox studio and the Marshall family. After having 2 kids, I let myself go and knew I needed to get back into shape. I had never done any form of boxing and was scared to even try but I gave it a go. I love this place. I was leery that the very personable service I got at Pulse Fitness may not continue in the long run but so far so good. I continue to notice that they give extra time to newbies or those of us who are just not coordinated despite our enthusiasm. Able to book easily thru Mind Body app. It's a good vibe, enough people to make it enjoyable (the experienced always seem to help the newbies) but not so crowded u can't move or find parking. There is actually a closer (5 min drive )and cheaper (1/2 the price) boxing class by my house which trains real boxers but I burned far more calories at Fitbox because although Fitbox teaches technique they know the majority are there just for a workout so they waste no time in making sure you are always moving. I clock no less than 500 calories each time and am drenched. They are also smart not to make the combos too redundant or long. For example, the other place by my house had us jump roping for 3 minutes-- it's mind numbing at that pace n no good for my injuries. read more
