Probably more like 3.5 stars…read more I bought a Groupon for this place ($29 for 10 classes; they also have a one month option for unlimited for $39 and two months for $69). I think the $29 is the best deal unless you plan to attend more than 10 classes per month, which is kind of tough (but if you do - good on you, you're gonna be shredded). I didn't have much time to look at the gym, but from what I can see, this gym specializes in boot camps and personal training. I'm not sure if they provide access to their gym besides their classes. In terms of the equipment I saw, it was freeweights, suspension ropes, those yellow things that you do pull-ups/dips on, tires, punching bags and a couple of rowing machines. The classes themselves are fairly large (10-20 people) which I think is the perfect amount. It's small enough that they can pay some personal attention to you, while not totally focusing on you too. You go at your own pace, but I always to try to stay with the group to keep going. It's a good workout. Verdict: If you are looking for a gym where you can get a full body workout and can't afford personal training and need motivation to exercise, then this is the perfect environment. The trainers are friendly as are the members. However, if you are a person who doesn't need motivation, needs weight machines and cardio machines, then this probably isn't the place. However, if boot camps are your things, the atmosphere is great and very inviting.

The trainers modified the workouts for me as I was new and made sure my posture was right (which in many other places I have not seen)! They are extremely knowledgeable, supportive and fun to work with! As much as you want the results, they want it for you too. The best part about all of this is that you are a part of a family, all the members and trainers are very down to earth, everyone motivates one another and there is no intimidation from anyone. Everyone goes at their own pace and are cheerleaders to each other. I never liked the gym and I thought it was boring and that's why I always kept on quitting, now at the boot camp, I get restless if I don't go for a day or two!! RUDE AND RACIST OWNER…read more I had the most disturbing and saddening experience at this Lagree location. After paying in advance for two classes online for my friend and I , we travelled almost 45 minutes to this location with about 15 min before our class began. The worker at the front desk who happens to be the owner of the establishment denied my friend access to the class because of their faulty online booking system that doesn't state the inability to pay a class for someone else, even though it accepted my payment. Understanding this faulty part of the booking system I kindly asked if to was possible to just get in her in the class anyways since we drove all the way in the event that there was a possible no show. Rather than trying to accommodate us and sign up my friend so she can enter class with me with, which he stated would have taken 2min to do , he refused to help us in anyway and went so far to ignore our concerns by claiming we are scaring away his clients. The 25min we took discussing the matter lead us to miss the class and wasting our money. After politely asking for a refund on the class I did not attend, he denied me this right and threatened to call the police if I did not leave the establishment. Identifying as African Canadian I believe his actions and disregard for our experience is a representative of his prejudices against black people and I wouldn't be surprised if he is a full blown racist. I will be never be coming back to this location and I am awaiting to hear back from the owner of Lagree, Sebastian Lagree to discuss this matter. I've been to the King street location and everyone was so nice. But if you identify as a person of colour I highly recommend not coming to this location.

Huge coming from someone who hated stepping into the gym prior to that. The HG Brampton team is very accommodating. They cater to different schedules offering classes in the morning and in the evening. The instructors are extremely helpful and have their own styles which get you out of your comfort zone and allow you to push yourself even further towards your fitness goals. The HG Brampton family is very supportive of each other, making each class that much more fun. =) 5/5 stars is not enough to rate HG Brampton. Cannot ask for a better family to workout with!
