However, not only did they charge me the $15 to come, they then told me I'm not allowed to bring my child because I'm not a paying member. Well I just paid and how can I decide that I want to be a member if they don't let me bring my child to try. And then to top it all off they "don't process refunds themselves" they have to send it out to corporate to process the refund. So long story short, if you have kids, don't waste your time. Get a membership to Paul Derda and you'll be much happier.

This gym offers a traditional CrossFit class, but they also offer a competitive class, a strength class, as well as a Flex class (similar to a CF boot camp style). What has really given this gym 5 stars is the fact that they have offered skills clinics (jump rope and gymnastics) - which has exponentially helped me in these aspects of my training. Today Nazi said they don't (who is she to say?) and charged me for a non-resident fee for them ...without saying that's what she was doing. I have paid Broomfield over $5,000 over the years to be a member, continuing to pay all thru Covid to be supportive without the benefit of being able to use the centers, and this is who greets you at the desk and decides your status. The b-rex online registrations are always!!!! horrible! Let's start with connection. I am sitting IN one of the rec centers right now, so they cannot blame this on my wifi. The sites are slow and not well designed, both of which lend themselves to their dropping you mid-attempt to register. Pointlessly very frustrating to have to start again three times before getting all the way through. The Bay and the rest of the Broomfield rec centers are not connected City entities?! What?! The equipment and pools are good. I especially appreciate the choice of water temps, and the first class lap pools at the BCC.

The equipment seems new and higher end than some other gyms and much of the cardio equipment overlooks the mountains. I haven't taken any classes here yet but I plan to. I've had one massage here (from Lisa) and it was the best massage of my life (and I've had lots). The only downside so far is that the parking lot fills up fast and makes the gym seem busier than it is... But there's also parking on the rec center side.

Fitness center side has a good size cardio and weights area. They also have one large dance/class room and another smaller one. This facility is for ages 15+. They have a child care room but this place is basically for grown ups. Next door, the rec center has a large gym for basketball and a large pool area and all of that is for people of all ages. Now that I've clarified about the boundaries, the reason I go to the fitness center is because I'm a hooper. I work out via 'hula hoops'. Now, ideally, I would love to use one of the dance/class rooms that are often vacant during the day, but regular folks are not permitted to use those unless you are taking a class. The large cardio/weight room has mirrors, but not enough empty space for me to hoop. Upstairs, in the hallway (it's a really big hallway) outside the classrooms and the child care there is plenty of space for me to hoop. Also, (and I checked first) I can do this for free because technically, I'm not going into the workout facility and it's a community building. They would get five stars if I could use those awesome rooms, but I can't, so they don't. I know this review will not be relevant for many but it is what it is.
