Three.. Two.. One.. Lift!…read more I came up to CrossFit WhiteMarsh to support my fellow weightlifters for the Baltimore Open AND Let me say, this gym is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The gym is located in a business park which was really surprising for a Crossfit box, mainly because you find them at converted abandoned warehouses or garage shops. However I was very impressed with the interior. The space is very big and has high ceilings (which is great for any ring movements). I did see some ropes, so expect a good 20ft climb if that is ever in the WOD. The gym is essentially a square with each corner of the square drywalled into smaller squares with a focus on a specialty. The far right side had platforms which I assume was for the Olympic Weightlifting classes. While the left side had the standard rigs necessary to perform your squats and pull ups. Amenities are nice, there are 2 showers, 2 restrooms, and a lounge! The lounge is dubbed the Kid's lounge, so feel free to interpret that to your liking. To your immediate left when you walk in, there's a refridgerator stock full with kill clifs and other recovery drinks. On your immediate right, there's a room for warming up and mobility. In that room, there's a daunting (or cute) whiteboard with people's stats and numbers. A+ for keeping people accountable and setting goals! If you are in baltimore and want to check out a nice crossfit facility, I'd recommend this place. Now excuse me while I go set a PR in my snatch.

The classes helped by giving me a routine and tips to do at home physically, mentally and dietary as well. The trainers are knowledgeable and the gym is not cluttered and very clean.

I LOVE this gym! We are new to the area, and have been attending this gym since August. Honestly,…read morethey have best work outs! I have been a member of several gyms, including multiple CrossFit boxes and yoga studios. I have participated in classes and on my own free weights. I feel like Patrick (XPF creator) has created a regiment that is challenging, but doesn't intend to cause injury or harm. He helps you to meet your full potential, and if you have injuries or sore areas, he helps to target those areas in stretching, foam rolling, and movement changes. I almost feel like I have a trainer and a physical therapist at the same time. All the trainers there are kind, helpful, and highly encouraging, and I have enjoyed every class. There are many options for people who are 100% new to working out and those that have a lot of experience. Classes such as Conditioning, which is a Prime workout, uses a lot of body weight and one arm/leg movements to strengthen your core and keep your body even. Metabolic Burn (Ignite) has a more circuit training aspect with intermittent cardio. Those who attend are regulars, and come as often as we do. I love it and honestly cannot get enough. XPF has a ton of different class times, as well as Yoga and Dance2Fitness classes. All classes have a group limit, and it is usually small. There are also options for Small Group classes, which is an even smaller class size where often the trainer can spend more time with you. I believe he even has 1 on 1 options as well. Honestly, if you are on the fence about this gym, trial it for a month (I think it's still $59 for the first month) and you will be hooked. I wish his program can follow me around everywhere I go!

The first week was me asking the other guys in class a lot of very basic questions, which they were very glad to answer. Their reasoning being it is better for me to learn right than to pick up a bad habit which might hurt myself or others. The work out was nice, but in order to get the best results you need to get your reps in at home. "fatigue makes every warrior a wuss" By the second class I had the rhythm down on how classes progress. I knew what to bring and where to stand. Any drill I didnt know I asked and some one explained it. By the second week I was shadow boxing at home, in the office, just thinking about my combos. I would run after work on days I had no class and do chin ups. By the third week I felt like a champ every time I put on my gloves. and I found myself staring at myself in the mirror a bit more and liking what I saw. The coaches are there every class, this gym is not a place for judgement or bad attitudes. I was treated with respect and dignity, but I did have to bring respect and a desire to learn in order to get the most out of class. I also had to develop a personal workout routine outside of class to maximize its benefits for my own goals. I would recommend this place highly, and will continue to go in the future. PS: no one was wearing any tap out shirts or just beating on the little guy. I would know I am the little guy.

Loki and his mama always made my day when I came into the gym. Everyone is so friendly, but also so focused on their goals and helping you get to yours. There is a women's only section which I loved because I felt more comfortable trying out new exercises there. I can be a bit shy, so I do not like to be on display. Plenty of squat racks and smith machines to go around. I love how they had multiple cardio options not just treadmills, but row machines, bikes, cycling bikes and more! Exile Performance Nutrition right in the front was awesome too! Always knew the answer to my questions! Great that you can get a water, bang, or Kenny's cookie then be on your way. Bmore MMA great too! Super nice that you can get discounts on memberships if you have both. Can also get discounts for teaching etc. Showers at Exile are spacious and clean! I lived in Baltimore and I would only shower at the gym. My home shower was the size of the chokey in Matilda. I worked out everyday, so this was a nice add on! The complimentary womens' products was a plus too! If someone forgot shampoo, lotion, or deodorant there is a little communal box to share. There is also an upstairs that's kind of hidden but there is turf and other lifting equipment and it's usually quiet up there. There is also a women and trainer only section on the first floor. The machines are mostly old and everything is mismatched, but that's what gives the gym it's unique vibe. It's kind of like a workout museum and all the members love that. It doesn't get the nickname "East coast Mecca" for nothing.
