We did that for a few weeks, then the Stay at Home Order kicked in, and I stopped going to the gym. When the gyms were able to open back up outdoors only, Miguel modified his gym and opened back up. Meanwhile the "Corporate" gyms in Los Banos remain closed. When I came back to the gym, I continued to do PT, but my work schedule was getting hectic so I opted for a full membership to the gym. Miguel continued to advise and guide me in my workouts when he could, at NO EXTRA CHARGE! A corporate gym wouldn't do that for you. Today, I went into the gym with this workout, but chatted it up with Lucas, another trainer at the gym, and he whipped up a whole workout that would work for today's gym sesh! AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!! Joining The Compound has truly made a difference in my motivation to go to the gym. Small, locally owned gyms are the real Judgement Free Zone. All the equipment is new! Management seems to not care about how uncomfortable Bad Padding can be on arms, elbows, legs,…read moreetc., while attempting to work out. I've complained and simply got a yea okay, as though it's normal, and then as you can see in the images, the bad areas have been that way for quite some time. I would like to see the staff workout on only these machines, and then explain why they would have bruised or rash areas be normal. Come on PF show some pride in your equipment that many pay to use. And then to top that off, many-many members sit in the machines playing on their phones, texting, sexting, Facebooking etc., disallowing others to get what they paid for, and that would be able to work out. I just counted 18 out of approximately 60 members playing on their phones, tying up those machines. I've mentioned the issue to staff three maybe four times, and they just look at you and shrug their shoulders. Do you think they could put signs up, so people can read and learn to share the equipment equally, not treated as it's their own personal piece of equipment . SMH

In a confusing world of horse "Traders" Deanna is a refreshing change!…read more If you are looking for a horse trainer that is also able to communicate effectively to you as a rider, then Deanna is the real deal! She has an easy demeanor and way of training the horse and the rider to become better partners with each other. She has not only a lifetime of personal riding skills, but also has her college degrees in Equine Studies. This blend of formal college training and life experience brings her to the forefront of other trainers who don't pursue both of these important attributes. She does specialize in Gaited Horses, but also can apply her knowledge into other breeds and riding styles, too. She can take your horse into boarded training; you can trailer in each week (as I do); or she can travel to your location. Her rates are very reasonable, and in any choice, she will give her whole attention to you and your horse, so you get a great value for your money! As I said above, Deanna is the real deal: knowledgeable in her horsey sense; knows what she wants the horse and rider to learn, AND able to get both partners to come to the same point of training/ riding knowledge. Don't let me forget to mention that its FUN too!
