I have visited this gym a few times over the last couple of weeks and will try to give a full…read morereview. Pricing: 5/5 Really, there is no where that can beat the pricing of Planet Fitness. $10 a month for a no-contract, month-to-month membership is great. I personally do the black card which I also believe is unbeatable. It's about $22 a month and included you have unlimited access to any planet fitness in the country, unlimited guest privileges, unlimited use of massage machines, and unlimited tanning (if that's your thing). I know a lot of tanning places charge more than this a month and only provide the tanning portion so the black card really is a steal for all those extras. Facilities: 5/5 Everything is clean. People wipe down their machines and equipment after use. Staff go around to make sure everything is clean. The locker rooms and showers are pristine. Machines are all working and look new. Doesn't smell like butt, which is all you can ask for in a gym. Also the hours are unbeatable! Staff: 4/5 Staff seem friendly and willing to answer questions. I've never felt judged by them. My only complaint is that, upon being given my black card, I had no further explanation to anything. The front desk person basically just handed my card to me. I didn't get a tour, a run down of any rules, or instructions on how to do things like reserve tanning beds and such. This resulted in me learning basically through trial and error! Equipment: 3/5 This is where it gets a little dicey for me. The equipment that they do have is immaculate, so that's great. The majority of the gym, it seems, is dedicated to cardiovascular machines. Which is great if that's what you're here for! I think this gym is severely lacking in terms of lifting. They also seem to be missing very basic stuff that anyone would assume a gym to have. I have noticed so far that there are no: stability balls, jump ropes, or mini resistance bands. The other bummer is that, if they don't have an item, you are unable to bring any of your own equipment. All in all, this place is definitely a great deal. The benefits alone are worth the price, but the gym is also clean and the equipment is in great condition.

Where else can you workout all over the country nearly 365/24-7 for $30 a month! This planet…read morefitness is super easy to get to, clean with a courteous staff. Plenty of parking and more treadmills than you'll ever need.

I joined as soon as this branch opened. The workouts are intense and I leave feeling exhausted, but…read morein a good way. The trainers push you the entire time you are there. And they extremely positive and motivating. The workouts are different everyday and combine treadmill, weights, and row machines. I haven't found a workout program I've liked this much, well, ever. The gym just opened so classes are still pretty available, but they are starting to fill. Hopefully they will offer more classes soon! I've been doing this since the end of August, and I already feel stronger, faster, and overall healthier. Someone with terrible knees, I am now able to jog and even run at times. I'm telling you, join the OT family!

M-F, 5:00 am 3+ years and it's okay...seriously though it used to FANTASTIC but with new coaches,…read morethe same ol tired treadmills that are always breaking down with the threat of new ones on beck order, same with kettlebells it might be time to leave the Orange lights behind. I love that North Olmsted offers 5:00 am, 5 days a week, that's a plus, it really is. I love Keeley Tuesday/Thursday, she is full of life with the perfect dry humor, coach Ryan is great too. The 5:00 crew is consistent, we have a great routine, 2 Gs are a plus early in the morning because I really dislike the rower. The monthly membership fee is comparable to other gyms in the area, but the cancellation fees are ridiculous, a grace period would be nice once in a while when members miss an alarm. I know it may read like a big ol complaint, Orange Theory is great, classes are high tempo with a mix of hit and cardio with weights mixed in, repeat classes are mixed in later in the month. You get the option to visit more than just your home studio. Rocky River is booming, they just got a ridiculously fabulous upgrade, I typically take their Saturday 6:45 am class. I have visited studios in DC and Miami too, but they charge additional fees when you visit what they classify as elite studios, seriously sane studio different city.

I love My Personal Trainer in Westlake! I was out of shape and had no energy when I decided to…read morestart exercising in June 2016. I liked the personal attention that made me want to go there twice a week. I rarely miss a session. My balance and stamina have improved. I've been inspired to start watching what I eat and have lost over 30 pounds since starting the program! Thanks to Dan, Sarah and the rest of the team I've been able to stick to the program and look forward to continuing in the future.

Three months ago when I started at MTP in Westlake I was very skeptical that a 2 day-a-week workout…read moreroutine could make a big difference in my life, and certainly not in a short amount of time. A little about why I chose MPT... I have severe arthritis in my knees and had been pretty sedentary for a couple years because of the pain. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon and going through a couple rounds of injections (cortisone and synvisc), the only thing that I really found helpful was physical therapy. At 53 I was told that I was too young for knee replacements. When my PT sessions were coming to an end, I was looking for a good transition from that. My knees were weak, and I needed strength training. After looking online at a lot of different gyms and reading reviews, I settled on MPT, mainly because of its intimate atmosphere. I really like the appointment-based setting - knowing I have somewhere to be and someone who is expecting me is motivating. There are never more than 4 or 5 other people (including the trainers) there at my appointment time, so I never feel self conscious or rushed. All the trainers at MPT in Westlake are awesome! Dan is the manager, and he came up with a great routine to start out with - with the focus on getting my knees stronger, but staying low impact so I wouldn't injure myself. Sarah, Audri and Evan are so kind, knowledgeable and encouraging. The best part of all of this is that as my knees, hips and whole body is getting stronger, the pain in my knees is dramatically reduced! My stamina has improved so much - I can carry a heavy laundry basket now without my arms getting tired, and I can carry it up two flights of stairs with ease! Everyday tasks are easier now. I'm sleeping better, and even though I am wasn't terribly overweight (I wanted to lose between 15-20 lbs), I have lost a few and it hasn't come back, even if I'm "bad" on a weekend. Even though I've only lost 5 lbs, my body is changing and my clothes are fitting better! It's worth mentioning that I was already conscious that my food portions and calorie intake needed some modification. So before I started at MPT I had decreased my portions and was using an app to make sure I wasn't taking in too many calories. All the trainers at MPT are experienced and well-versed in that as well. Price... With my high deductible insurance plan I was paying about $150 per (give or take, depending on what level they coded it as) Physical Therapy session. I asked what it would be if I wanted to continue out-of-pocket (because my insurance only covered 12 sessions). To continue physical therapy would have been between $75 and $150 per SESSION, depending on how much time I spent there. In contrast, I'm paying MPT about $20 a session (with the package I chose). Like other places, they run specials and if you pay up front (which I did - I chose a 1 year package) you get a break. I could have gotten a bigger break if I had chosen a different package. Try not to get bogged down in all of that - they're a business and they have to make money. It's so worth it!
