I took the Yukon to multiple transmission shops in Wichita and they all told me the transmission needed rebuilt at a cost of $2500 or more! luckily I decided to get one more opinion and brought the Yukon to Chance transmissions. They hooked up their state of the art Scan tool and drove it. Jay told me "there's a possibility it only needs a speed sensor replaced". After replacing the $20 sensor the Yukon drove perfectly! Chance transmissions saved me a fortune. I will always trust Chance with my vehicles. Not sure why there's so many negative reviews here on Yelp.... It's interesting none of these negative reviews include the company name "chance transmissions" or mention any Tech by name.

I was worried it might be the same problem with the transmission as before. Dropped by Terry's shop and they read the engine code for free. I was happy to see it was an unrelated problem. Terry also took the time to explain a few things about the transmission to me. Overall the service was excellent and Terry and his staff are very knowledgeable. Hopefully I won't have problems again with my transmission, but if I do I'll take it to Terry's.

They asked if we still wanted to do the rear main seal, reply was yes for that is why the car was there. Front desk shared mechanic was not happy about having to take car apart again (front desk forgot to put on work order). We get car back and it dumps fluid on the ground within hours of being home. We return car and they repair. The moment we return home we notice a significant dent in the hood from the inside obviously by a distinct rod shaped object. MasterTech denied wrong doing and kept pointing out a motor mount that had been replaced a year prior and whoever did that must have damaged the hood. This was a dent that you did not have to look for and it was not there prior to visiting MasterTech. After multiple trips to MasterTech and time spent getting quotes from local bodyshops, and a very uncomfortable confrontation with the manager and his daughter, MasterTech paid the lowest quote for dent repair. We then went onto take the car to another shop to stop the fluid leaks.

The guy who was going to repair the key ignition, called me if I would like to get a used part instead of a new one and I totally agreed because the cost was much less than the new one. The mechanics were excellent at that time. However, something happened a few years ago as the people changed. Prices went up quickly and it made me feel the recent change of employees was the issue. The last time I went there, I had an oil leak - after the oil change. I told them about it, had to take it back and they said it was not an oil leak and all they had to do was tighten up the lid. However, when I took my car to another auto shop to clean the headlights, they found an oil leak. They fixed it and did it the right way. This particular incident made it clear to me that Yost had no intention of fixing my vehicle correctly. That made me very angry as I spent thousands of dollars in the past. She was so professional, helpful, empathetic , calm and collected and we made a game plan of what all my options were and she made everything that was going on make sense.
