She acted very exasperated that I needed her help. It was quite difficult to apply my coupons from the app in the Self Checkout. The Loss Prevention man at the exit acted confused about how to check my receipts. When I explained what had happened, he told me I should go tell it to Customer Service because it's not his job to hear about it.

They will always have a selection of food, clothes and electronics as well as some household items. Everything else varies quite a bit. Prices range from really good to not so good, you kind of need to know what you're shopping for and what prices are. They are buying stuff in bulk and putting it out based on the lot price they are paying. No interactions with staff while I was here since I didn't spot a bargain I couldn't have. So not sure how helpful, friendly they are. Store itself does show some age, but it's very in line with any other Bargain Hunt I've ever been in. I feel like the typical Bargain hunt store is a former grocery store that has been slightly renovated, but not updated. That being said, this location is pretty organized and seems to be kept pretty clean. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if I was in the area I would pop in to see what the newest seasonal stuff is. Also, they tend to have some pretty good end of season sales, so keep an eye out for those.

I'm glad I did - I called up George, explained that I needed a pair of red-white-blue thigh highs ASAP, and he immediately responded with "We can do that". He overnighted them and the socks arrived in plenty of time. Amazingly, it didn't cost and arm and a leg (it ended up being only $21/pair after shipping!) though they did cover a leg - all the way to the thigh! They appear to be high quality too (and I believe they are made in the US). In summary, this place is fast and friendly, has great customer service, and the socks are high quality. The owners, Scott and Jame, have a heart for this business that gets artisans paid fair wages and unique items into the homes of Birminghamians. That being said, the people that were out there with space, were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nobody came across a pushy and they all seemed knowledgeable about what they had to sell. We even found a few things while we were out there, so that was a good thing. One thing that kind of stood out, not sure if this was bulk lot purchasing happening or what .... but there were a ton of over the counter medicine and household cleaning/washing type stuff. Just kind of thought that was interesting - 3 or 4 places had a lot of this. Plenty of fresh produce as well as some nursery type items (trees/shrubs). All in all it was a pretty good way to spend a couple hours.
