Fisher's Popcorn might be a beloved product -- and thankfully, it sells itself -- because the manager certainly isn't doing the brand any favors. What a treat to be spoken to like a complete idiot. His condescending tone and smug attitude really elevated the whole experience. Who needs basic courtesy when you can be met with eye-rolls, dismissiveness, and the charm of someone who clearly believes customers are beneath him? Even worse, he's a terrible role model for the young boys working there -- watching him strut around on a power trip is probably the worst training they could get. If you enjoy being belittled by someone who mistakes arrogance for authority, this is your place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and grab your popcorn from another location. Cash accepted but not rung through the system, hmm. Who needs a receipt while on vacation... Store could use a cleaning; looks dirty and disorganized. read more

While visiting, sister told me about this place which was popular like Garretts from ChicAgo so naturally I wanted to drive. Walk up like window for ordering and they have a few variety & size options. I also asked if I could sample which was nice of them to let me. I tried the carmel popcorn dusted with white cheddar. I got a small white cheddar and a medium carmel popcorn dusted with white cheddar. I was hoping for something like the ChicAgo mix from Garretts. Pretty good, different and nice mix of sweet & salty. Nephews white cheddar was cheddary but already tasted a little stale. Not sure if we just got an off batch or what. Right in the Main Street of Bethany Beach. Worth a visit. SYOY! read more

Small little shop in the small shopping area that has about 5-7 different options of popcorn. Friendly staff. Definitely sample, sample, sample...and they are generous with the samples! Loved the caramel cheddar one. Disliked the old bay seasoned one. You choose! They can either seal it ($1 extra) or box it for immediate consumption. We chose to have it sealed. This is a terrific landmark place that you've gotta pick up a bucket (refillable!) of caramel corn (with or without peanuts) to take home to much, as a souvenir, or for a great gift for friends back home! As Yelper Kara mentioned in her review, it's quite a unique mix of sweet, salty, AND spicy. We've been sprinkling Old Bay on Popcorn for 30 years, we like Old Bay chicken wings -- why not this!? I have always maintained that this Fisher's is not as good as the Fenwick one and thus have usually made the trek to Fenwick for my yearly cheese popcorn fix. This year I was just too lazy and I'm glad because I discovered the Bethany location produces just as tasty a concoction. Made a last minute drive by stop on my (sniff) way out of town, back to the big city. So glad I stopped, even if it did take me quite a long time - -the line was out the door. It was 100 percent worth it to drive across the Bay Bridge in the dark and rain because I got to snack on the best cheese popcorn in the world for at least 45 minutes of the journey, until I snagged the last kernel and stopped for a Diet Coke. They really should put a Fisher's on Kent Island. They would do a bomb in business in dollar off refills for people who buy those tubs. Fisher's popcorn is an Oh-So-Good Bethany tradition. They have just two things on the menu, caramel corn with or without peanuts. Its always warm and sticky, and if you get their plastic tubs, you can get it refilled. Its also fun for the kids to watch through the window as they make it on site. read more

Hands down the best in the world. Hasn't changed at all since I was a kid. Don't bother bringing back your old containers. Price is the same. Friendly service as always and clean appearance but they go through so much so fast it must get cleaned all the time otherwise I'd would be impossible to get clean if not kept up with. I love popcorn. My favorite food is popcorn. Mix it with brown sugar and butter in a copper kettle at Fishers at the beach?...heaven! I grew up on Fishers popcorn in the summers and thank goodness I dont live at the beach year -round or I wouldnt be in beach shape! I love popcorn! Love Fisher's Popcorn! We typically get ours from Ocean City. From what I tasted, I think OC's looks like fresher popcorn with more types available. But overall, this still tastes better. This is also slightly more expensive than OC, but maybe that's because Delaware doesn't have sales tax so the price is built in. read more

Visited the Bethany Beach location on Veteran's Day 2018 to purchase two large buckets of popcorn to give as a gift, as I have done regularly for years. Mgr gave away a small bucket of popcorn to a male veteran and profusely thanked him for his service. My friend who is retired veteran asked the young lady in the store if they have military discounts, to which she said yes and provided me with a $5 discount on my $40 purchase. When she asked if she could have a free bucket like the gentleman was given, the Mgr became unhinged. I went back in the store to see how much I had paid (because they didn't give me an itemized receipt) and he was STILL going off about her to the employees, in front of customers. This is a long story short really, just know that you lost a customer today over it. The manager told me that you have cameras. Hopefully you go back and review them and listen and see what a terrible experience this was for both my friend and myself. read more

As usual, the popcorn was amazing. We cannot visit the Bethany area without supporting this fantastic product; however, we will never purchase popcorn from this location ever again. The gentleman who served us and checked us out was one of the most rude service individuals we have ever dealt with. The couple in front of us bought 6 small buckets and he treated them the same way. He had an angry grimace on his face and slammed their money on the counter. The woman gave us the rest of her pumpkin sample because she said, "He probably won't give you a sample."
